Looking for simple monogram projects for your home decor? Here are detailed project instructions and how to create your own monogram, too.
diy monogram pillow project found here
Ever wanted to create a monogram for a project and you can’t figure it out.
Oh, good.
Me, too.
Do you know that when I speak at conferences on decorating and projects and how to decorate your living room for $25 and show this pillow project…
…the number one question I get asked is WHERE DO YOU GET THE MONOGRAM FROM?
It took me a while to figure it all out.
I used to try to create them in word and pull the letters over and it always looked a little awkward.
But that was 2009.
This is 2019 where you can get your monograms put together for you with a click of a button for FREE. I was working on a bunch of monogram projects for fall and I was using all these different monograms I created and I thought you might want to know all my monogram sources.
Just in case you appreciate a really good monogram.
And a few good monogram projects, too.
This is a monogram that I created using MonogramItLite.
It’s for your phone or Ipad.
This is the free version and there are TONS of monograms you can use for projects or even screen savers.
Here’s another version that I created.
You can see the program here.
Just a simple circle without the background.
diy monogram pillow
I used this monogram to create this pillow.
You can see the DIY here.
diy wood monogram sign
I also used it to create this wood sign.
Once you have the monogram these monogram projects are SO EASY TO MAKE.
All you need are stain pens and these boards from Hobby Lobby.
You can see the DIY for this sign here.
diy monogram wreath
I also painted it on a wood slice and put it in the middle of a wreath.
You can see the post about the wreath here.
There are tons of other sites with free monograms you can create yourself with different fonts and different colors and sizes. Some of these you have to create a free account and then they e-mail you the monogram.
Here are some of my favorite monogram sources:
Here are sixteen different types of beautiful monograms in different colors from the Wedding Chicks
These creative font ideas from Mark and Graham.
The Chicfetti Site SO EASY to use and you can create your own font and size in minutes.
I also love this simple monogram creator from Carolina Clover.
In other monogram news, these three-dimensional wood monograms are perfect for projects, too, if you don’t want to paint.
I get mine from Southern Proper Monograms, but I’ve seen them everywhere, so there might be a local store near you that sells them, too.
diy wood monogram planters
I used them to create these planters.
You can see the project here.
three different monogram wreaths
I’ve added them to a wreath on a door.
You can see more about that project here.
Stocking toppers
I’ve added them to stockings.
And tied them on Christmas trees as ornaments.
And tucked them on top of presents as toppers.
And all of these projects?
They started with a little imagination and a monogram.
They are unique and personal and creative and full of joy.
Just like you.
Happy creating friend.
PS One more for the road.
This is a pillow that would make the perfect Christmas present with the first letter of everyone in the family’s name.

Pinning this post for later. I'm thinking the pillow with everyone's initials... do one for each family member, with their initial in RED and everyone else's in white.
