Random thoughts on a March Madness Saturday morning:

1. Happy first week of spring. It’s been glorious here in Texas.

How’s the weather where you are?

2. Are you watching March Madness? Baylor won yesterday, but now we have to face #1 Duke. Yikes.

Fingers crossed.

3. We went to watch my nephew play baseball yesterday. It was the same field Zach played on.

If I squinted, I could see him walking up to bat. I found this story from the last game he played that made me miss being a baseball mom so much.

4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We talked about

5. If you are looking for a good book for spring break? I just found this list.

Need a little inspiration for the weekend?

I got it.

Here are my favorite links from the week.

A rustic dining room features a wooden table with six chairs draped in white fabric. A large potted plant is at the center. Two ornate mirrors lean against the wall, and a chandelier hangs above, enhancing the elegant, vintage decor.

Sometimes the best decor ideas are the easiest.

You can make little changes that make spring show up.

Here are 10 ways to add spring to your home.

Bright kitchen with white cabinets, a central island with wicker stools, and wooden beams on the ceiling. The room features a stove, a plant, a basket of apples, and a window allowing natural light to stream in. A sofa with cushions is in the foreground.

This is such an ingenious idea.

A kitchen cabinet on the counter that looks built-in.

You can see the DIY here.

This is the season for spring tables.

And flowers look even cuter in a cabbage vase.

You can see the how-to here.

And why didn’t I think of this?

The perfect spring front door.

I have a basket that looks like this and these faux hydrangeas would be PERFECT in an arrangment like this.

Did you know you can paint it?

And now this shed looks like this.

I do not watch any sports now that I am widowed. Here in Ohio it is windy, cold and cloudy. Typical March that makes you want to make a pot of soup, cornbread. Wrap up in some comfy sweats and watch TV all day. And this is coming from a girl that doesn't watch much TV. But you gave me lots of reads before tv. Happy Saturday.

We are definitely watching March Madness! I’m in 3 different brackets this year, which makes it so much more fun! On a different note, I loved your baseball post! That is the sweetest thing, and what a wonderful memento of dirt!!

Karianne, nothing would make me happier than seeing Duke lose to Baylor. But then unfortunately Baylor would need to lose to Kentucky LOL. I loved the story of your yard sale finds, those are the moments we yard salers live for!
