I know it’s Tuesday.

I know you are busy.

I know St. Patrick’s Day is a hot minute away.

I know you may or may not have had your first cup of coffee this morning.

BUT I COULDN’T WAIT ANOTHER SINGLE SECOND.

(total aside:  please note that the upper case on the previous sentence should not be construed as yelling.  I’M JUST SO EXCITED THAT I DON’T KNOW HOW ELSE TO EXPRESS IT BUT IN UPPER CASE!!!!!!!!!)

This is a 50 zillion exclamation point post because those sweet little twins? The ballerinas? The twirly whirly skirts? The fifth-grade salsa dancers?  We’ve been working on a project together for over two years and those sweet girls have poured their heart into every page and I can’t wait for you to see it.

Seriously.

It’s called 52 DIY Crafts for Girls and it has a lot in common with you.

It’s full to the brim of amazingness. 🙂

AND IT LAUNCHES TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But wait.

Before we get started—I don’t want to do all the talking.

The twins have plenty to say.

We filmed this super short intro video about the book.

And here’s a note from them:

Do you like crafting?  Do you like making things?  Do you like giving gifts to your friends?  Do you like glitter and paint and banners and parties and decorating your room?

Oh, good.

We do, too.

We’re Whitney and Westeigh.  We’re twins who live in Texas with our mom and our dad and our  brothers and our golden retriever, Buddy.  We’ve been making and creating and drawing and painting for as long as we can remember and we’re so excited to share this book of some of our favorite projects with you.

But before we start creating together, here’s a little more about us.

I’m Westleigh.  I’m older than my sister by one minute.  I know it’s only a minute, but it’s a very important one.  I love to watch romantic comedies.  I love happily-ever-afters.  I love popcorn and ranch dressing and strawberries and smoothies.  I love calligraphy and I love hand-written anything.  And I love Jesus.  I love him more than bagel bites—and that’s a lot.

I’m Whitney.  I’m the younger sister.  Just in case I ever forget I’m younger, Westleigh reminds me.  I love encouraging other people.  I love my family and I love it when Buddy takes me for a walk.  I love flowers.  I love macaroni and cheese with hot dogs.  I love dancing and twirling and spinning through life.  And I love Jesus.  And post-it notes.  In that order.

And the best part?

We get to craft with YOU.  We’ve designed projects you can make in an afternoon.  There’s stuff for your locker and stuff for your friends and stuff for your family and stuff for your room and stuff you can make just for you.

We know we’ve just met, but we can already tell that you are amazing.

And wonderful.

And special.

And incredible.  And creative and funny and joyful and full of life.

Let’s be friends.

Crafting is a little scary sometimes.

You might be worried you’ll make a mistake.

You might be worried it won’t look right.

You might be worried someone else won’t like your choices.

And that is EXACTLY why we all wrote 52 DIY Crafts for Girls.

Because crafting is SO MUCH BETTER WITH FRIENDS.

It’s full of 52 projects that are simple and easy to make with step-by-step instructions and a supply list.

There’s stuff you can make for your friends.

And stuff you can make for your locker.

And stuff you can make for your family.

And on and on and on and on.

Each craft has a time estimate.

And a supply list.

And it’s ranked by difficulty with different paintbrushes.

And today is the day that this sweet book launches INTO THE WORLD.

You can order 52 DIY Crafts for Girls here.

And now? To say thank you. To celebrate you and your amazing self…..

I am SO excited for your girls!!!! I am praying that their book does fabulously! Thank you for the giveaway! Hobby Lobby is a wee touch of glory in my opinion! There is some upholstery fabric there that I've been absolutely drooling over ... so you might think I'd use it for that project ... but in truth I teach a 1st and 2nd grade social studies class and we do oodles of craft/art projects! I would spend it on my class, no doubt!

I would do whatever DIY crafty project my daughter wants to do! She' s 11, so any quality time is spectactular quality time, and I let her direct it, otherwise it's likely to not happen at all. I've got 6 years and a little bit left with her before college...my goal is to make it all count!
