I know it’s Wednesday.
I know you are busy.
I know Valentine’s Day is a hot minute away.
I know you may or may not have had your first cup of coffee this morning.
BUT I COULDN’T WAIT ANOTHER SINGLE SECOND.
(total aside: please note that the upper case on the previous sentence should not be construed as yelling. I’M JUST SO EXCITED THAT I DON’T KNOW HOW ELSE TO EXPRESS IT BUT IN UPPER CASE!!!!!!!!!)
This is a 50 zillion exclamation point post because those sweet little twins? The ballerinas? The twirly whirly skirts? The fifth-grade salsa dancers? We’ve been working on it together for over two years and those sweet girls have poured their heart into every page and I can’t wait for you to see it.
It’s called 52 DIY Crafts for Girls and it has a lot in common with you.
It’s full to the brim of amazingness. 🙂
Before we get started—I don’t want to do all the talking.
The twins have plenty to say.
We filmed this super short intro video about the book.
And here’s a note from them:
Do you like crafting? Do you like making things? Do you like giving gifts to your friends? Do you like glitter and paint and banners and parties and decorating your room?
We do, too.
We’re Whitney and Westeigh. We’re twins who live in Texas with our mom and our dad and our brothers and our golden retriever, Buddy. We’ve been making and creating and drawing and painting for as long as we can remember and we’re so excited to share this book of some of our favorite projects with you.
But before we start creating together, here’s a little more about us.
I’m Westleigh. I’m older than my sister by one minute. I know it’s only a minute, but it’s a very important one. I love to watch romantic comedies. I love happily-ever-afters. I love popcorn and ranch dressing and strawberries and smoothies. I love calligraphy and I love hand-written anything. And I love Jesus. I love him more than bagel bites—and that’s a lot.
I’m Whitney. I’m the younger sister. Just in case I ever forget I’m younger, Westleigh reminds me. I love encouraging other people. I love my family and I love it when Buddy takes me for a walk. I love flowers. I love macaroni and cheese with hot dogs. I love dancing and twirling and spinning through life. And I love Jesus. And post-it notes. In that order.
And the best part?
We get to craft with YOU. We’ve designed projects you can make in an afternoon. There’s stuff for your locker and stuff for your friends and stuff for your family and stuff for your room and stuff you can make just for you.
We know we’ve just met, but we can already tell that you are amazing.
And incredible. And creative and funny and joyful and full of life.
Let’s be friends.
Crafting is a little scary sometimes.
You might be worried you’ll make a mistake.
You might be worried it won’t look right.
You might be worried someone else won’t like your choices.
And that is EXACTLY why we all wrote 52 DIY Crafts for Girls.
Because crafting is SO MUCH BETTER WITH FRIENDS.
It’s full of 52 projects that are simple and easy to make with step-by-step instructions and a supply list.
There’s stuff you can make for your friends.
And stuff you can make for your locker.
And stuff you can make for your family.
And on and on and on and on.
Each craft has a time estimate.
And a supply list.
And it’s ranked by difficulty with different paintbrushes.
In exciting news, the book launches on 3/3/2020 and it’s now available for pre-order. If you want to reserve your copy to make sure you get one while we still have them in stock, you can pre-order 52 DIY Crafts for Girls here. Also—did you know that when you pre-order—you are guaranteed the lowest price between now and when the book releases. Amazon will just adjust it for you and mail you your book when it launches.
I need your help.
The publisher is putting together a book launch team. I’m so excited about this, I can’t even. Each member of the launch team gets access to an exclusive behind-the-scenes Facebook group, where the twins and I are going to be creating TOGETHER. We’ll walk through the book together and talk crafting and random things and have coffee together and discuss why we should all make nests out of twine. We’ll have giveaways for the group and exciting promotions and tons of crafting ideas. The goal of the group is to help get the message of the book out there to everyone who ever needed a little crafting encouragement.
I’d LOVE to have you join us.
All you have to do is fill out the form below if you are interested. The publisher will select 75 launch team members from the entries. All team members will be notified by e-mail as soon as they are selected.
Thank you SO much for all your support and encouragement.
Here’s to creating and crafting together and making all the things that we truly love. 🙂
Also, in hilarious news—I have this outtake from the video shoot. I thought you might like to see who’s really in charge. 🙂
