I have so much to tell you today about chairs and sales and the CUTEST stuff I found at Walmart for fall.
But I have to ask something first. I want your opinion. Don’t hold back. Tell me like it is.
What do you think of orange?
It’s kind of like the forgotten fall color.
I’ve been looking for ideas for fall and it seems that everyone is all about the blue and the red and the gray and the white for fall decorations this year.
Poor orange. Everyone just forgets about it.
It’s like orange is so fall 2005.
But truly? Just between us?
I love a little neutral with my fall. But nothing says fall to me like an orange pumpkin.
Hang in there orange.
I’m on your team.
Here’s the office with a side of fall pumpkin.
I just added these chairs.
I cannot tell you how much I love them. I have two of them in khaki and four of them in blue and they DO NOT DISAPPOINT.
Here’s the same chair in blue in my living room.
The blue chairs are on sale right now, too and I just found them in black, too.
You can find them all at Walmart. Walmart home has some of the cutest stuff right now, especially for fall. You can find so many different decor styles and tons of decorating inspiration.
And the best part?
The khaki chairs are on sale right now for the cheapest I have ever seen them.
Here’s a close-up of the legs.
They look like they came from a vintage farmhouse.
There are two of these legs in the front and curved legs in the back.
The front of the chair has nailhead trim.
There’s also nailhead trim on the arm.
The chair is upholstered in a khaki and white fabric that looks like linen.
I took this picture so you could see the tiny weave up close.
The chairs are comfortable to sit on and a little on the firmer side, but not too firm.
They just look so high end and they aren’t overwhelmingly big.
I cannot recommend them enough.
These chairs, along with my living room rug are some of my favorite purchases EVER.
I also found these sweater pillows in the aisles of Walmart, too.
They look like my grandmother knitted them for me.
Perfect for football games and fall.
And this table that holds my coffee every morning.
It’s the perfect size to go anywhere and I like the pop of color.
You can see it here.
But in the middle of all the neutral?
In the middle of rustic pumpkins and beautiful chairs and cream rugs and vintage toolboxes.
And these little wood houses my brother made for me.
In the middle of all that?
Look what showed up.
I know, right?
Orange with a side of orange on top.
I love you, orange.
Welcome to 2019.
Here are all the links to the stuff I mentioned in the post and a few other fun fall finds I discovered along the way. Happy shopping.

Cool, ugly Pumpkins! Did they come from Walmart too?
I'm 5'8" tall and I hate sitting in a chair that is low and makes me feel like I'm sitting in a bucket. How are these chairs as far as seat height? I love these chairs and am thinking about buying one to replace my denim slip covered chair.
Love the chair. Yes, I use orange also. As long as it’s not the orange Halloween pumpkin color. Looks great.
Bits of a burntish orange and rusts I love 🧡. Bright orange in small doses is ok too. Those pumpkins are really cute....I do love their texture. Gotta go to Walmart!!
I'm an Irish Catholic - we're not supposed to like orange, haha. I don't do much orange for fall anymore, but I sure like your new fall stuff. I have always loved your striped chairs. Great sale!!! Have a fabulous holiday weekend.
I love Mothers Nature’s orange. But NOT plastic orange. I like Home Depot but not Home Depot orange.
To me orange speaks fall. Orange pumpkins, orange leaves on the trees and orange mums (among other colors). I love orange, too, but red remains my favorite color. Your fall decorations are looking good!
My home is primarily blues, grays, taupes, white. I find orange shades to be a nice accent color for fall.
I love that orange showed up!! Happy almost Fall!!! xoxo
I’m not a fan of orange, except during the Fall months. Then it just wouldn’t be right without all the shades of orange, like Mother Nature gives us in the leaves and pumpkins. Used sparingly, it can be beautiful. I love your room, especially the little house made by your brother. So cute!
I love orange. Especially glorious in its many varied hues! Those chairs are to die for, if only they were a recliner type. That's what I need, and that's all I have space for! But I will check them out anyway, thanks karianne. Hope you have a happy day!
You go good ol' fashioned orange!!!
Since I'm an Auburn fan I love orange (the correct shade) and blue- WAR EAGLE! Love your chairs too and that you discover great items from Walmart. I really love your brother's wood house♥
I love orange, one of my favorite colors. Anything in the orange, rust family speaks my language. So glad you added some. I have a ton going on in my house. Love those chairs too, so pretty.
Definitely autumn oranges! Just like greens, blues and reds there are so many variations. Can you have fall without orange? Mother Nature doesn’t think so.. I’m anxious to sit in one of those chairs. Never buy furniture without sitting in it first. Some lean back too far, others are too low or too deep. But for you to have six of them says they must be close to perfect. Thanks for the sale tip.
Honestly, at one time I could take or leave orange but then a good friend mentioned that it's her favorite color. She is one of the most put together people I know - so I'm a new convert!!
I'm ALL about the li' devil... him and his cousins the browns, yellows, and the reds!! Bring 'em on.. 😉
I see how to shop for everything but the best items in the post - the gnarly pumpkins at the end! No mention of where they are from! Please share cause I NEED them!
I’m a neutral girl, but fall is my favorite color, I mean season, and I am needing color this year. I think 3 years in the PNW and gray skies have brought out my need for color! The trees here are fabulous when they turn, and I have an internal need to copy that. So I’m leaning towards deep blues and rusty oranges. I even bought two pillows with orange on them! I’m still feeling a little nervous about my “decorating with color skills” but it’s time for some accents color. It’s time!
I love ORANGE!!!! My favorite way to decorate for Halloween is black, white and orange. I really like Cinderella pumpkin orange. Also love those chairs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love a little orange for fall!! God uses it all over the place, so I’d say it’s been well-vetted! 😘 Love, love, LOVE that chair! (She says, tapping her chin thoughtfully with an un-manicured index finger.)
Oh YAY!!! Because...I just ordered this chair in khaki from Wayfair this week (on sale too!) and it arrives TODAY! I am so excited. And yes...orange? I HAVE to have it in the fall. It is a complimentary color to blue (a little art theory here) and the two colors intensify each other, making them pleasing to the eye. I think it's why we are drawn to it when pumpkins are on display under those beautiful blue autumn skies. Anyway, I love how it looks with the blues in my living room in the autumn. Happy fall decorating!
In general orange is at the bottom of my list, bit I do like it in the fall. Our house is mostly ivories, black and some french blues. In fall we add in golds, rusts plus orange, blue and white pumpkins...and I love all the witchy, spidery halloween decor which has oranges too. I just bought a pillow that is ivory with some gold stripes and giant tassels on the corners...and here is a quote I saw online : "throw pillows are a grown woman's stuffed animals" Lol.
Orange in fall is like the vegetable dish you can prepare to go with any dinner. It's always a good thing, especially paired with blue. Small doses work best for me so that it can stand in its own glory. Love those "distressed" pumpkins in this post and like others, hope you share the source. Thanks for another great post.
I like the rusty orange color of Fall leaves but, not the real bright orange color. To me Fall has gold, burgundy and rust, the colors of the leaves in my trees, that's what i decorate with. I love your chair it is pretty.Have a great day.M
I have to agree with so many comments....I'm not an orange person, but it's crazy...for fall...I can't help but gravitate to it...not the bright Halloween orange....but a muted orange. Is there such a thing?...HAHA. I've been known to buy artificial orange pumpkins and antique them with a burnt umber or ochre colored acrylic paint...gently rubbing off some of the paint, but leaving more in the pumpkin's grooves. My fall decor colors lean more towards burnt warm tones. I LOVE Autumn and all that it has to offer!
I love that chair! I need it in my life! Paige https://thehappyflammily.com
We have a few non orange pumpkins, but mostly orange. Orange is Fall. Marilyn
That chair comes in GREEN!! Be still my heart. I NEED it
I like orange in months that begin with "O". I hate it the rest of the year.
I’m trying really hard to like orange but as you know I’m from Kentucky, and Tennessee football and basketball fans do not make this easy! But I will also say I never saw pumpkin I didn’t love and I’m so happy about all the glorious colors I can find them in now, including orange. My front porch idea for this fall includes some orange pumpkins!!
Those "petrified" pumpkins. We must know more! Please!!!!
Just love Fall with all its gorgeous colors! Even though I am a "blue & white" gal, when Fall comes, I do enjoy a few touches of orange to go with the blue & white Fall items. KariAnne, that wooden house that your brother made you is so cute -- love it! I also really like the chairs that you have! They look so comfy! Enjoy the wonderful Fall season! Blessings!
My house is primarily gray and navy blue with orange accents. We painted the inside of our front door orange and it really brightens up a dark hallway! I am so excited by all the orange and gray fall decor at Hobby Lobby this year!
I am not crazy about Fall traditional colors like orange, brown and yellow. What I do like is muted variations of these colors and I always throw in a non-traditional color like turquoise in the mix and some cream as well. HomeGoods had some beautiful glass pumpkins in turquoise, leopard and cream when I popped in the other day.
So lovely and inspiring!! It's a bit warm here in Indiana today but the incoming rain and chilly forecast have me totally in the mood for fall. I went straight to your blog for some inspiration, and you managed to motivate me enough that I'm going to bypass my little nap I had been planning. As always, thank for showing us all the beautiful things. But I do have a quick question. How do you keep all those light colors looking so clean with that furbaby in the house? We also have a sweet dog, and she's party of the family, but oh, my, the dirt is more than I can handle some days. We have dark rugs that I clean monthly, so I just wonder how you do it!
I used to despise orange. Probably because of Clemson, but I digress. However, of late, I have incorporated some orange in my home. Just a smattering here and there.. I am not opposed at all to orange pumpkins. Fall is my favorite time of the year, so I embrace it ALL! I haven’t done ANY Fall decorating yet because it’s been as hot as Gehenna here in Kentucky. Soon I hope....
