I know these look like mild-mannered sisters with a smile on their face and a giggle in their heart.

But truly?

They are superheroes.

There are a zillion and one reasons that I don’t have time to get into on this post, but mainly because they are AMAZING at selecting the perfect gifts for teen girls. They created a gift guide for me last year that was almost my highest rated post for the month and so many of you ordered from it and told me the selections were perfect and have been e-mailing me asking me if they will create it again this year.

And when I asked them? They literally laughed out loud and told me they already had all the ideas ready.

Mostly because I shopped their list last year.

And all that gift guide showed up under the tree.

So here’s their new list for 2019.

Here are their suggestions for the 17 best gifts for teen girls.

(total aside: don’t be surprised at the extra explanation on some of them—they are related to me. Extra is their middle name. 🙂

1. Every Single Moment Prayer Journal

I actually bought this for Westleigh about a month ago and she told me it was her very favorite present she had ever gotten and to put it at the top of the list.

In a world that is so full of sadness, this book brings hope.

And the amazing promise of tomorrow.

It’s full of prompts that walk you through the future and your hopes and dreams for tomorrow and help you savor the present.

You can see it here.

2. Fabletics

The twins said you can’t go wrong with anything from the website.

These are the LEGGINGS they said.

But they gave me this specific recommendation—down to the color.

These high-waisted Powerhold leggings.

In Orchid Smoke to be exact.

You can see them here.

3. Air pod case

I loved this suggestion.

These come from Urban Outfitters and they are so cute and affordable.

I got them both air pods for their birthday and they don’t have a case.

And these are only $12 and come in different colors.

You can see them here.

4.  Apple Airpods

And in case you didn’t know what airpods were? These are wireless earbuds from Apple.

The twins were all about these.

They are wireless and hands-free and keep a charge for a very long time.

You can see the earbuds here.

5. Hydro Flask

This the THING according to the twins.

Everyone has one (except them).

You carry your water around in it and cover it with stickers (see gift idea number 5).

They come in all these colors and you can see them here.

6. Red Bubble Stickers

Apparently you can’t just put any sticker on anything.

Red Bubble is the best.

They have a sticker for EVERYTHING.

You can see them all here.

And the best part? If you buy 10 you get 50% off.

7. Sugar Paper Journal

This recommendation came straight from Westleigh.

She loves journals and this one is so pretty.

It’s from Sugar Paper and it matches her room.

Here’s the info on the journal.

8. Dunkin’ Gift Certificate

I tripled checked this one.

Dunkin’ Donuts, I said?

Yes, they said.

Except apparently it’s just Dunkin’ now. Please work that into conversation just to let people know you are up on all the things.

You can give the gift certificates online or in-person and order them here.

9. Birchbox

We all decided this was our favorite gift from last year so we are adding it to the list.

It’s SUCH an amazing value for the money. It’s a beauty subscription box full of different fun sample products each month.

I ordered all 12 months at one time last year and it was cheaper, but you could just give a month or a couple of months.

You can read more about it here.

10. Scrunchie

Yes, I said scrunchie. It’s not a misprint.

And the twins think they discovered these.

When you don’t wear them in their hair, they double as a bracelet.

You can see them here.

11. Daily Devotional

Both girls have this book.

It’s written by teen girls for teen girls.

They’ve read it cover to cover and are reading it again.

It’s an inexpensive gift idea that gives back all year long.

See the book here.

12. Phone case

This is the cutest phone case.

We found them in this store with the cutest clothes in case you are looking for other options.

They had so many fun case options, but this one was their favorite.

You can see the case here.

13. Wet brush

This brush is designed for wet hair to get the tangles out.

Hence the name.

You can see it here.

Number 14: Monogram necklace

This is such a fun personalized gift.

It’s simple and classic.

You can see the necklace here.

Number 15: Stationary

Just like scrunchies?

Writing notes is making a comeback. Westleigh went into Anthropologie and discovered the note section there and asked me why I’ve never told her about it before.

I didn’t even know people wrote notes anymore.

You can see the stationery set here.

16. Really popular shoes

This was a last-minute addition that Whitney texted me.

I had to add the picture that she sent along with the high recommendation.

Who wouldn’t want really popular shoes?

You can see them here.

Hope you enjoyed all our suggestions.

Happy Christmas shopping and let us know if you have any questions or need a specific recommendation on something.

Sigh...no teenage girls to buy for. But I do know an adorable red headed 5 year old granddaughter who is a getting a Barbie dollhouse. And......because I want her to be serious (!) Barbie, the marine biologist. And something quilted...haven’t decided what yet. Don’t I still have at least 5 weeks????

  2. Image for Sharon Sharon

Wow, what a great list. If you know anyone, and I mean anyone, who can suggest gifts for a granddaughter who is 10 1/2 going on 21, that would be great!! I really missed out how girls are not 10 anymore, they are fashionanistas (is that a word?) and not into anything I would associate a 10 year old with!! Probably will give her money although I really like getting gifts. I have a friend I will be passing this list on to. She is kinda like me, clueless. lol

Hi Sharon-- Not all 10 year old girls are fashionistas .... mine wasn't (she just turned 14). Here are some ideas--if you live near a 5 Below store, that store is geared towards tweens and teens and is a good place for inexpensive items. Old Navy and Target would also be good bets--Old Navy for clothes and Target for their artsy kits--jewelry making and so on. I would suggest bath bombs (there are make-your-own kits out there), mini backpacks, a light box similar to this: https://www.target.com/p/diy-lightbox-novelty-led-table-lamp-black-room-essentials-8482/-/A-53216200?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google_pla_df&fndsrc=tgtao&CPNG=PLA_Lighting%2BShopping_Local&adgroup=SC_Lighting&LID=700000001170770pgs&network=g&device=c&location=9017498&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrdfk_7b85QIVUvDACh1v0QJ5EAQYAyABEgIfj_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds, If she has a phone, a pop-socket (it's a thingy that attaches to the back of a smart phone for holding on to and propping up the phone), if she has any interest in crafting then washi tape (it's a decorative tape that she can use to, well, decorate items--you can find it at JoAnns or Hobby Lobby and in the same aisle you can probably also find heavy cardboard items such as letters which she can decorate with the tape--I did this for a birthday party when my daughter was 12 and every girl loved it). Clothing-wise, sherpa tops seems to be big this year .... anything in the color mustard (animal prints are also a biggie but that may seem to old for her), fleece lounge pants are always a hit. I hope this helps!

I work in a middle school with 8th graders and can verify this list is definitely what teens are into! My own children are still in elementary school and my son asked for a cell phone for Christmas. My husband and I just laughed; not quite yet!

  4. Image for Jennifer Jennifer

No teenage girls to buy for, just a teenage boy. But I love this list and I love that scrunchies are back in again. I still have some my made for me back in the 80's!

  5. Image for Jane Jane

Thanks a lot or this post. Just sent it to a friend of mine with a 17 year old granddaughter. Tell your beauties thanks.

  6. Image for june june

Wish I had twin teen girls to buy for❤️. Love all these ideas. Oh to be young again. Side note....Did you know Republic of Tea has limited edition Countdown to Christmas tea tins and nummy tea?

  7. Image for Se Se

Beautiful teens! What a thoughtful list--especially the special notebooks. You have brought them up to love each other and this is the greatest gift. You are a role model to them--fun but firm, their mother and their closest confidante.

  8. Image for Jenn Jenn

Great ideas! I will have to check out the devotionals and journals! Scrunchies....really? My girls haven't caught on to that one yet. I think I may still have a few around though!! I love that handwritten notes are making a comeback! That is something we have tried to keep up with in our home, it is just such a special gesture! Thanks for the tips on staying relevant and hip in our modern culture! Ha! Dunkin' who knew?

Great list!!!! Please tell Westleigh and Whitney thank you for being so prepared with this great list!!!!!! Their efforts are greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Have a great day!!!!!

  10. Image for cindy cindy

Thanks for the suggestions! I usually have my teen, Abby, pick stuff out and then I buy it. BUT this year, I want to surprise her, and just ordered several items from your list! Thanks girls ;)

  11. Image for Margaret Margaret

Quick question, as I look at the Every Single Moment journal site, it talks a lot about praying for one's future husband, etc. Is that just how they are marketing it, or is that really the focus? Was thinking about it for a younger teen but if this is the focus, maybe not. Appreciate your advice based on having seen the journal!

  12. Image for Kris Kris

Cute ideas and I DO have a teenaged daughter. But I really want the stickers for myself .... hahaha. Actually, if you can talk your sons into a list for teen boys, you would be doing me a huge favor. I'm struggling for ideas this year.

  13. Image for PJ PJ

I almost skipped reading this since I have no teenage girls in my life at the present time, but you know I never skip a KariAnne post. What great ideas your girls came up with! I may be adding a few to my own wish list, and I am far from a teenager!

  14. Image for Marilyn Marilyn

What an amazing gift list. I am not a teenager and I would love some of the items on the list. My twin sister Marion and I still use scrunchies and we all[our older sister, too] use note cards. We sometimes use them for birthday cards we paste a Happy Birthday on to the card. Wesleigh and Whitney are beautiful young ladies. God Bless. HAPPY THANKSGIVING and MERRY CHRISTMAS

  15. Image for Laura Estep Laura Estep

Tell those sweet girls thank you from me! My daughter has a wish list but I like to surprise her with things she didn't ask for. And now she'll think I'm cool. 😉 P.S. I can't believe scrunchies are back either! My daughter LOVES them. Who'd a thunk it? 😄

  16. Image for Debbie Debbie

I have 2 teen girls and I know too well all about the hydro, (we bought a dupe at Target) scrunchies & Red Bubble stickers! I even have a few stickers I was gifted from my daughters. Another popular item are hair clips in every color to match your scrunchie. The same ones I used to wear back in the 80’s :)

  17. Image for Jill Hilbrich Jill Hilbrich

Love this list! We have 3 girls, two are teens (13 and 15). While we have a couple things on this list already, it’s always helpful to see what else they may like (love the journals end devotional ideas especially)! Thank you and tell you’re twins they were spot on!!

  18. Image for Gail Gail

I love your list, great ideas for my two granddaughters. The phone case is very pretty, the site that they are on does not have them, is that the correct site?
