Someone wise once wrote:

Should old acquaintance be forgot and never brought to mind?

I think that applies to stories, too.

They are like old friends.

And for me?  2018 was the year of the stories.

A year of milestones.

That’s why I write my tales and pen my words.  I want to keep them close.

In case you need a little 2018 story soup for your soul…

…here are my favorite top 10 posts of 2018.

All of them stories.

Each and every one.

(total aside:  you might want to grab coffee.)

Never apologize for where you are on the journey

Oh lady. I've been reading your blog for years. I only read a few but yours is my favorite. Thanks for sharing these stories, you are really really good at it. You've taken me down your memory lane this morning and it's taken me down my own. Perfect way to spend the quiet time while everyone is still sleeping.

Hi Karianne, I was looked at this post and when I came across your bathroom which I love by the way, I noticed those white framed items on the wall that had some greenery on the wire. Did you make them or purchase? I'm in the midst of a bathroom remodel and I think this may work in that room. I sure hope you don't mind if I copy your idea.. I am going to paint a gold framed antique mirror to match the vanity - not white but a color called Cashmere. And if I could find something like those pieces I would paint them the same color. Anyway.... THANKS SO MUCH. Wish you and your family the very BEST of 2019! Will read you soon!! Thanks Mary

I hope I don't wreck my phone and all your downloads would be gone! Couldn't deal with the loss. Having my husband back them up as we speak. Recieved your last book for Christmas, just as I had hoped, and read right through it. Can't wait for 2019 and all the great stories, the laughter and the tears for you to share. I'm counting on you !!!

I think I remember reading that your mom comes to Cape Cod, MA each summer for holiday, you're both welcome for afternoon tea, a clam bake on the beach or anything Cape Cod you'd like......just let me know! Happy New Year!
