Random thoughts on a Saturday morning with the sun hopping up over the horizon:

1. Can you smell fall?

Oh, good. Me, too.

Don’t tell the other seasons, but it’s my favorite. All those fall bins are about to make their annual pilgrimage down from the attic.

2. Have you ever made cucumbers with vinegar and lemon pepper seasoning? It’s the perfect cool treat for a hot summer day.

Karianne, it's always a pleasure to wake up to Thistlekeeping on Saturday mornings (and the occasional Sunday). You're able to find the most fun projects and ideas that I would never have discovered for myself. It's great to discover new creatives and blogs, and you help that happen every week. Hope you have a fantastic weekend. Oh, and also, I never get tired of your adorable pumpkin rolls-lol. xoxo

Happy Saturday KariAnne! I had my fireplace lime washed last weekend like the one in your post. It was a GameChanger in my living room. Can’t wait to see your DR transformation and your Fall post. I’m holding off decorating for Fall until I see your ideas!

Just a peek at fall here in the Midwest, our new home for a week now! Some maple trees are giving a hint of color already! It's my favorite time of year too and more so as our new home should be finished being built in a couple months we hope! Thank you for sharing all this fall inspiration! That Swedish cottage is adorable! Each thing selected for the decor was a 10 on the cuteness factor. I also love the decoupage shells! What a pretty gift to make and that blanket.....so cozy. Happy Saturday!

Yeahhh..I do not think I will be sporting any sweater vest. I'm still digging on my fur vest in the fall and winter. I love those little breads, I must try them sometime. All these articles and you have done this 400 times. I am exhausted for you. Lol Thank you for all your loyalty to your followers. Happy Thistlekeeping Saturday.

GREAT thistles this week, KA! WOW!!!! And a huge ginormous GRATS on being your 400th installment of Thistlekeeping. That is a very big deal and has been a big inspiration for your readers. Thank you. And NO I am not smelling autumn yet - it is blazing stupid swampy humid rain forest-y weather that I can barely stand right now. I am not even thinking about it, though school has started and all the decor stuff is being shown. Yikes. Nope, I am waiting a bit - but nothing like thinking about it! It's my all-time fav season too, but also makes me super sad to watch the earth go to sleep again. Winters are long and tough here and I am in no hurry for it this year.

I NEED to make those pumpkin rolls but pardon my ignorance; it says to cut them and let them rise and then cut them again and let them rise again. Do you only cut a few snips at first and then more the second time? I’m an avid cook but can’t figure out these directions. 🤣

I'm the outlier here .... depending on the style, I like sweater vests. Don't hate me! Meanwhile .... that cottage, and those shells. Sigh.

Oh my gosh - I worked at JC Penney in the Juniors Department when sweater vests were a thing . . . I love the links you shared. Liz Marie's pottery collection is jaw dropping. Love the advice on propagating hydrangeas. Most importantly CONGRATULATIONS on your 400th Thistlekeeping post. That is truly admirable. Also, yesterday on IG, I saw that your brother is in the hospital. Please know I am thinking of you and your family and sending prayers your way.
