Random thoughts on a cold February Saturday morning:

1. Remember the birdhouse that my husband rescued? The tree right next to it has tiny little leaves on it.

I was so excited I took pictures for Instagram.

2. We just finished Season 3 of All Creatures Great and Small on PBS. It’s such an amazing show. It made me want to move to Yorkshire and start sheep farming.

3. I’m working on the cutest craft for next week. Here’s a hint. It involves clay and houses and numbers.

4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We talked about:

5. Did you see? I just watched some fashion videos and I’m almost afraid to type the words. Super high shoulder pads are back.

Yep.

I saw them online and blinked twice and they were still there.

What is this century coming to?

And now?

Here are all the ideas and inspiration I found for us this week.

Let’s GO.

This idea is pure genius.

See that tray? It’s made from a wood frame.

I hate when a series I love comes to an end for the season! All Creatures is such a favorite! We watched the original over thirty years ago (you were just a child) and then read the books! They are delightful! You would love them! The new version is so beautiful with all the advances in cinematography. And when you are ready to move to the dales my hubby and I will go too! Let's go! Have a lovely weekend!

A lot of wonderful Sunday morning reads with my coffee at 3:30 a.m. thank you. I did sneak a peek at the beautiful kitchen. Wiped the drool off my face and then just dreamed of it. Happy Saturday

I would rather see the mountains than live on one like some of those homes. Enjoyed this and always do, fun way to spend on a Saturday morning. Pray you have a great weekend.

You can buy tape to keep your curtains from sticking? I had no idea. Thanks for linking that site. I loved seeing the remote homes .... the concrete walls are kinda cool and I've thought about doing something similar in my basement .... love the wooden eggs and the frame tray. I vote 2 thumbs down to shoulder pads. I vote 10 thumbs up to All Creatures. Everyone in my family loves it. We have PBS Passport and can watch episodes multiple times (and we do!). I bet you also would like Miss Scarlet and the Duke. Greetings from a beautiful sunny winter day in Michigan. We have snow .... and my husband just told me that we have crocuses blooming.

I was blown away with the kitchen remodel. I still can't believe that the kitchen counter tops are peel and stick contact paper. Where are the seams, and how did they get it to lay so flat? I wonder how well it will hold up to kitchen use? They did an amazing job that's for sure, and it looks beautiful, but I can't imagine the time and patience it took with all the peel and stick paper. Thanks for sharing the redo.

Three cheers for shoulder pads! Seriously. They make your hips look narrower. 💚 "All Creatures Great & Small" is just beautiful, isn't it?! We've one episode left to watch. I don't want it to end...so, I think I'll start all over again with Season One, Episode One. xo (My husband's undergrad & law degrees are from Baylor.)

GREAT thistles this week, KA! I absolutely swooned at the "kitchen" tour - all her spaces are incredible - I LOVE her taste. WOW. I need a home make-over now. I truly do.
