Random thoughts on a football Saturday morning:
1. Happy Labor Day weekend. Ours is full of football and friends and family. What are your Labor Day plans?
2. We are going down to see three of our four kids at the first Baylor game. I am a little homesick to see them and so we are driving two hours to give them a hug and take them to lunch and go to a football game.
It is going to be worth every minute of every mile.
3. I need to start my series”What I Bought Wednesday” up again. Do you have any categories that you’d like me to source and share?
4. Have you ever heard of Crown and Ivy? It’s the CUTEST line from a department store called Belk. It’s a little preppy and a little sassy and super affordable (they are having the best sale right now).
You can see the entire line here.
5. It was an amazing week on the blog:
- the before and after of the exterior of our home
- the amazing that is just around the corner
- 7 leaf projects you can make for fall
- Westleigh’s blush and pink apartment
And now?
Here are my finds for the week.
LET’S GO.
Look at these lighted garden spheres.
You will NEVER guess what she made them out of.
Autumn decorating is here.
The easier the better.
Here are tons of 20-minute autumn decorating ideas here.
Look at these terra cotta pumpkins.
They are made to look just like a high-end pumpkin that costs so much more.
You can see the DIY here.
Did you know you can harvest your own sunflower seeds?
Then you can grow your own flowers every year.
Here’s the how-to for sunflowers.
And in random news:

I love Crown and Ivy - actually pretty much everything at Belk! I’m also excited for your “What I bought Wednesday” to come back. I’ve been missing it! 😃
Have a great weekend with your sweethearts❣️ Yes please bring back “What I bought Wednesday”. I have been missing it too. And Crown and Ivy has the cutest, happiest colored clothes!
That was just the best collection of thistlewooding. I loved it all. Thank you Karianne. Enjoy family time, football and just being you. You can Love everyone just like your beautiful self does, but dont forget to take a moment and love WONDERFUL YOU also. Happy long weekend.
Great selection of reads! It’s too funny, yesterday I read open shelving in a kitchen is out. Designer’s are saying that people are realizing they are dust magnets and lives are too busy for constant dusting. You’re my go to for gift ideas. Is there any chance you could do a Wednesday on food gift ideas? Maybe something geared towards organic gift boxes? Happy Labor Day! My neighbor went to Baylor and she’s the best! She is another person that can brighten your day.
Hope you had fun at game and seeing most of your babies today. Our Buckeyes beat Notre Dame but ND played a great game. I am hoarse from yelling! Good thing I am not in church choir anymore. LOL. GREAT Thistles, KA. I especially loved the Cassandra Crain farmhouse tour - what a beautiful home. So bright and cheery!!!! Have a blessed Sunday.
Hope you enjoyed seeing your kids and the weekend. I can understand missing the kids and not seeing them as often as we would like. Its quiet a distance from McKinney to Henderson NV, a suburb of the vegas area , where my kids and granddarlings live. So see them when you can! Happy fall days ahead! Debbie

Such a great post Karianne, It was so hot for football, but we endured the over 100 degrees from the couch. You always inspire me so much Karianne. I cannot wait to try Jennifers ceramic pumpkin. And, what a fun surprise to see my garden sphere featured, you are always so supportive. XO my frined.
I hope you had a great time at Baylor football. For some reason your posts went in my junk mail. Now what's up with that? I have been following you forever.
So much deliciousness in this edition!! Thank you!!! xoxo
