Random thoughts on a chilly, cold, sunshiny winter morning:
1. Are you a cold weather person or a hot weather person? I always think I’m a cold weather person until the cold actually shows up.
Right now I’d love to be at the beach.
2. I just shared another edition of “What I Bought Wednesday” over on my YouTube channel.
You can see it here.
I’m also posting a fun winter decorating video later this afternoon. You can follow along with the channel here if you want to get a notification about it.
3. I’m about to start watching Yellowstone. I wasn’t sure about the language so I found a service called VidAngel that filters out stuff you don’t want. I haven’t used it yet, but I will report back.
4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We discussed 21 ways to decorate with pinecones and how to fall in love with your house and how to organize a junk drawer and realize that there are some days that you step in it.
5. We are ALMOST done with painting the plywood subfloor in the bedroom. I can’t wait to show you the room.
6. And the rusty jingle bell tutorial goes live next week.
And now.
Without further fanfare or a ticker-tape parade, here are the things I found for all of us this week.
So many GOOD FINDS.
Let’s GO.
Remember all the ways to decorate with pinecones?
What if they were bleached? The ways would all multiply.
Here’s how to bleach pinecones.

I’d never heard of number one before, but I think I might order it.

Oh, that post office converted to a home! Amazing. Love Thistlekeeping.
So many great ideas.
That house tour is so calming! And you’re right about the gorgeous piping! Personally, I think Yellowstone needs that rough cowboy language but don’t ever watch Succession! You won’t hear a word of dialogue with that filter!
You always have the best features KariAnne. The flower studio you shared is actually very close to my house. I loved it so much that I'm going to share it on my own wrap-up tomorrow along with your infused water bottle post. Have a great weekend!
Not sure how the service filters out language but if it mutes it then you're not going to understand much of what is going on in Yellowstone. The foul language does get annoying on some of the episodes. Its like they just put it in to fill up words for the scene.
So many wonderful ideas this week, KariAnne. I found myself pinning many of them. Thank you!
That post office made into a home was amazing, she really knew what to do, it's a beauty. Slowing down is what we all need to do, enjoyed reading. Your Thistlekeeping is so fun and great on cold weekends, thanks.
So many great ideas! Always love the weekly wrap up-so full of ideas. Thank you!
I use to like the cold! Getting older has changed that! Great post! Love the pine cone idea and I can’t wait to see your room all finished!
loved the family Christmas experiences! Cannot wait to see your bedroom. Loved seeing you on Zoom Friday! Happy Sunday! laura
KariAnne, thank you so much for sharing my post in decluttering your digital devices. I hope it’s helpful to your readers. P.S. the language on Yellowstone is pretty rough a d there are too many four letter words, but the characters and the story line are so inticing. You just have to hold your hands over your ears!
The house tour was beautiful, and the sweater wreath is adorbs!!! xoxo
Loved the post office house too! I really wanted the chocolate chip pie recipe, but when you click on it the site says "not secure" which scares me so I got out. Love Thistlekeeping!!
Thanks for the ideas! Always look forward to my Monday morning "Thistlekeeping" reading :) We LOVE Yellowstone...be forewarned, there is a lot of cussin' and killin' in it....lol....but we are hooked!
Truly enjoyed these idea’s!
You always have the best features, KariAnne! I loved that beautiful flower studio, so pretty! I'm not sure I would like Yellowstone, I even skip over Spotify songs if they have the F word in them haha! I would love to hear how that filtering app works out, I didn't know you could get something like that.
