Random thoughts on a brilliantly sunny grass-smelling Saturday morning:
1. When did Winnie The Pooh become a brilliant philosopher? Seriously. Every time I get on Instagram there’s a quote from Winnie that makes me reevaluate my life and count my blessings and want to be a better person.
Like this one.
“I always get to where I’m going by walking away from where I’ve been.”
You go Winnie.
2. Currently right now there are two men in my back yard with a load of nonsense about to go to the dump. Nothing makes my heart beat faster.
3. Have you ever tried Pellegrino? I just discovered it and I LOVE IT. What are your thoughts on sparkling water?
4. This was an amazing week on the blog. We answered barn door questions and discussed 50 simple 20-minute decorating ideas and learned the best tips for spray painting and shared the cutest rug and blue and white decor from WalMart.
5. Today we are having a three-generational outing. My mother and my sister and the twins and I are all heading into Dallas for the Etsy show. My sister, Whitney, has a booth there and the rest of us?
6. Just when the day couldn’t get any brighter. Whitney came downstairs and told me she’s been reading the blog for twenty minutes. A teenager? Interested in her mom’s work? Life is so bright I need to wear shades.
We never pass up shopping.
And now?
Here are my favorite finds from this week.

I’m still struggling with the whole wallpaper thing. I’ve spent so many years trying to take down wallpaper that I’m not sure I want to put it back up.
And then I see a post like this.
Are you on team wallpaper or not?
One more for the road.
If you have a table with a finish that’s damaged, this is the perfect project for you.

Going to the dump.
The entire scene makes my heart happy (especially that cute guy on the right).
Love the Pellegrino sometimes I like to mix juice or flavoring in it or put fruit in it. I did not know there was a an Esty shop gathering today!!!
That is a perfect near summer photo of your back yard. Yup, men with a truck hauling is a wonderful thing. A sweet nostalgic feeling. My Daddy had a truck. Cute fountain. I truly appreciate the effort you put in for your readers. The stories, the photos, the ideas. Love that you have family nearby. Nothing better than that. Pellegrino. Have used for years to add fizz as we do not drink soft drinks...because, sugar. I buy packets of True Citrus by the 500 and add stevia and still or fizzy water. Also herbal teas and fizzy water. Sweetened with a tiny shot of cider vinegar, its taste is reminiscent of Kool Aid. Home made ginger ale. On and on.
KariAnne, You never fail to brighten my day!
I'm grinning ear-to-ear, thinking about this generational trip to support your sister and have fun, talk about a win-win! I'd love to hear the sweet chatter between all of you! Blessings on your sister Whitney and her Etsy business! Hope that her booth does phenomenally! On a side note, have I told you how much I appreciate all the effort you put into your blog? I think I have but let's just reiterated again! Thank you for all the resources you always share, thank you for all the links to other blog posts that you have enjoyed so that we can also enjoy them and glean other information. Thank you for being so fabulously you! Have a blessed weekend I know you will!
I am like you and have stripped wallpaper from every house we have ever lived in. However, we were at Menards the other day and I saw peel and stick wallpaper in the cutest grey and white buffalo check. I brought a roll to my husband and gave him the pleading eyes. He said "are you really asking to PUT UP wallpaper?" I know...I can't believe it! Some of it is soooo tempting! Plus it should be easy to take down right?
I have always been in the wallpaper camp. I'm just very selective, and I never seem to tire of my choices.♥
PelegrÃnno and all bubbly waters is how I kicked a 30 year Diet Pepsi habit! How did my mom think that was a good idea!!! PS — maybe Whitney can read my blog 😉
I laughed at your dump comments because my husband LOVES to go to the dump....eeewwww. Thanks for all the joy on a Saturday morning~~love all the things you love. I see you will be at Haven this year. I want to go but each year it has conflicted with our 2 week family beach vacation. I will see if the dates work this year as I would love to attend. Keep all the great stuff coming!
We've been drinking Pelligrino for years. We really love it -- so refreshing. We also use it as a mixer instead of soda water. How is spring treating you?? Sending hugs!!
I like it when OTHER people put up wallpaper! I absolutely love Miss Mustard Seed's latest wallpaper/room makeover in her guest room. I don't think I would ever get tired of that pattern. We spent enough time removing wallpaper in our home that I'm hesitant to do it myself, however.
Thanks for the weekly wrap up! Love all the ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have wallpapered and not wallpapered-think it depends on the space and what you want to do with it..................................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I ordered YOUR blue & white rug for our freshly painted bedroom. Can’t wait to get it!
I am still looking for a blog about someone redoing a bathroom in an economic way. It was more of a temporary fix until they could afford what she actually wanted. It gave names of what she chose, and I loved a vinyl floor in blue and white that looked like ceramic tile.
I need to try the Pelligrino, want to break my pop habit. I purchased some peel and stick and loved putting it up, and am loving how it changed the room. I think a little goes a long way. HGTV has a new show called One of a Kind and she uses wallpaper often-especially on ceilings. Love your posts and especially your Saturday list of things I usually haven’t seen. Too many bloggers...not enough Time!
Hope you had the most wonderful day shopping the Etsy show! Thank you so, so much for sharing my Spring home tour this week! Wishing you a wonderful Sunday my friend!!!
My doc wants me to quit Pepsi. I think I will try Pelligrino! In the early 70's we built a 6000 sq ft house and almost every room had wallpaper. I wish I could have been a little mouse when the people had to strip off all that wallpaper. It was pretty at the time but, of course, decorating changes. Would I put wallpaper up again at age 78, no........ Blessings to all.
Wallpaper has its place, and now with the removable stuff its easier to make a decision to try it!
