Can I tell you something about myself?

Something I don’t really talk about or share or discuss with many people.

But after all we are friends and I feel like you will understand.

I love watching funny you tube cat videos.

You know.

You’ve probably seen them too.

The cat is always playing the piano or chasing its tail or being grumpy or annoying its owner or scaring the dog.

Maybe it’s because I have cats.

Maybe it’s because a cats have the best expressions.

I can’t help it.

I watch then over and over and over and each time I laugh until I cry.

Best 10 minutes I ever spend.

Here’s another great way to spend 10 minutes making your own easy fall sign.  I’ve posted it before…but it’s worth an encore. 🙂

How to Make a 10 Minute Block Letter Sign

Supplies:

wood blocks

chipboard letters

glue

paint

sandpaper

wood block fall banner

Step 1:  Cut random pieces of molding to different sizes

Perfection is not the goal.

(total aside…I love any project where perfection is not on the list of supplies)

Step 2:  Paint pieces with random paint colors left over from projects

The more random…the better.

If it looks too uniform….the paint isn’t random enough.

Distress random painted pieces of molding with sandpaper.

Step 3:  Hot glue random chip board letters

I chose capital letters and lower case letters.

Then hot glue the letters to the pieces of molding.

(total note to self:  take more pictures of random chip board letters….they look like pieces of art)

Step 4:  Decorate

You could decorate a mantel or bookshelf or desk or wreath or front porch.

Or make a fun banner like this one by attaching them together with twine and eye hooks.

And now I’m off.

I just heard about a cat playing ping pong. 🙂

Happy day friends!

Hi Karianne, this is so simple and a great way to use up chipboard letters. As a longtime scrapbooker, I have a ton of chipboard... and scrapbook supplies too for that matter. I like the idea of attaching them to jute and hanging them like a banner. Cute. Have a wonderful day!

Seriously? You like watching You Tube cat videos; my whole perspective of you has changed. Just kidding! I have two cats and they can be so entertaining along with watching the videos. Have a good day

Not sure I'd watch cat videos but I wish I had a cat, I just saw a mouse in the garden. I'm sure once the temperature drops, he/she will be trying to get inside - eww!

I can't imagine people not liking cats -- we've had dogs and cats. So being the nonjudgmental person that I am, may I come over and watch them with you?? Then we can giggle until we cry. By the way, how are things going with being down one child in the house?? I've been there. I even missed messy smelly socks as well as all the thumping and bumping with a basketball. Love your replay of the block letters :-)

It is an old African belief that cats are one half lion and one half monkey...I share this belief and I think it's also the reason why they are endlessly entertaining! If we're going to damn you for watching cat vids, we'd have to damn two-thirds of the world's population...myself included! :) Oh, KariAnne....I just sooooooo LOVE these blocks...how very clever you are! I want to use this idea for a Christmas vignette along with some vintage toys and ornaments...thank you sooooooo very much for sharing this wonderful idea with us!

My oldest grandson Matthew loves cat videos. He gets my other three grandbabies together in front of the computer watching them. I hear laughter all through the house. I am usually called to watch the most hilarious ones. I absolutely love to hear the sound of their laughter, makes me laugh too.
