Y’all know I am all about a little shopping.
Walmart shopping to be exact.
I’ve mentioned it before, but one of the things we LOVE is shopping online and having it delivered to our door.
Truth?
I am a distracted shopper.
I go down a rabbit hole when I’m shopping and go in for a gallon of milk and come out with a dozen hair barrettes, floral dishtowels and a striped rain jacket. It’s true. Once I was late for a book club because I went in for cookies and ended up spending an hour looking at the tennis shoes.
Sigh.
That’s why I am all about placing an online order from Walmart instead. It helps keep me organized and keeps my shopping focused.
And now?
Ordering from Walmart got even more affordable and easier.
Thanks to Walmart+.
Here’s the way it works:
You can purchase a monthly membership for $12.95 or a yearly membership for $98 and you get FREE UNLIMITED DELIVERY (the order has to be over $35 and certain restrictions apply).
Yep.
That means.
Free unlimited delivery on eggs.
Free unlimited delivery on butter.
Free unlimited delivery on milk.
And free unlimited delivery ($35 minimum, restrictions apply) on a whole lot more.
So when you want to make cookies for your husband or you need your favorite make-up removers or you are about to run out of dishwashing soap, you don’t have to worry. Ordering online is just a finger click away.
You can order grocery items, but that’s not all. You can also order all those household essentials you need like laundry soap and dryer sheets and even shampoo and conditioner.
The other day I found the best smelling hand soap and I ordered four so I wouldn’t run out.
But that’s not all. With your Walmart+ membership, you might also get great member prices on gas and the in-store mobile scan & go functionality, too.
If you think this might work for you?

Truly.
I love things that make life easier, save me money and keep me focused.
Here’s to celebrating life and keeping it simple.

Save money, time and keep me focused? YES, please!
A good resource to know about, especially now! (My son loves making fun of the commercials which all seem to use the same phrase .... "In these times .... " using a doom and gloom voice)--so, really, while covid is undeniably nasty, I think some of the shopping innovations are good whether we are in a pandemic or not!
But....have you seen the little squirrel pillows?
I also have been using the unlimited online grocery shopping delivery at Walmart for several months now and wanted to add another benefit I have found. In the quiet of my own house I can grocery shop online, thinking of meals I want to cook this week and looking up recipes, checking the list of ingredients and ordering those I don't have as I go. I've been able to plan meals much easier this way. I also don't cave and impulse buy little debbie snacks and three kinds of chips online the way I might if I am walking down the aisles in the store.
Love this idea! Thanks for laying it out for us!
Let me state up front..I realize you are an Influencer for Walmart. However, there is another side of the coin.. Many of us are there for whatever the reason in 2020. This is my reality: Okay..chiming in as a senior on fixed income. In my prior life when basically money was no option. i thought nothing of paying $50 a year membership fee to become a member of Sam's club....gasoline savings..yes ..even tho it meant bypassing local neighborhood stations and traveling round trip 3o miles..and while saving on gas, i could also browse and shop Sam's neverending larger than life sizes of anything and everything.. oh yes, household of TWO members! Now in real life on fixed income of Social Security where every penny counts.. i see no reason to spend $98 a year or $ 12.98 a month for unlimited delivery of orders of $35 or more..with certain restrictions.. I carefully plan my shopping excursions which are very few. But first back to reality..Priorities come first : Rent, (divorce robbed me of my home, followed by his death robbing me of my paltry alimony). Car payment Car insurance Utilities including phone and internet Medicine/medical co payments Food.. supplemented by local food bank This is not what i had envisioned for my Golden years.. Due to severe medical issues and Covid I cannot work. However bleak this may sound, there is joy in my life each day.. My doctors and medications make life more bearable by allowing me to still be active. By active, i mean I still drive. I can walk and view my beautiful outdoor surroundings, I utilize my local library, as well as other Free offerings.. There are endless possibilities to be utilized.. Thank you for your wonderful blog KariAnne! I look forward to each and every post!
I have to giggle because I'm right there with you as we go into a store for an item and come out with a basket full.
Saw Mary's comment above...the little squirrel pillows?! $5.97?! Adorbs!!! xoxo
I live in an area where no stores will deliver. However, I'm addicted to grocery shopping on the Walmart app. For my $35 minimum order, they'll do the shopping for me for free and put it in my car, which is a great time saver. When I first discovered online ordering (at the time, Harris Teeter was the only one doing it), I was at a Weight Watchers meeting and mentioned it during announcements one day. Someone had the nerve to call me lazy because that saved me from the "steps" inside the store! But that was far from the truth, because online ordering keeps me from impulse shopping, I still can get the sale prices, and it's easier to stay on budget. Plus, I can drop things in the online cart as I'm thinking of them, and not wait until I have a hundred other things on my mind. But I don't know if y'all have noticed THIS WEEK, there are major improvements in the Walmart grocery app! You can specify substitutions and approve them ahead of time! I'm excited that they're taking the opportunity to review and improve the online shopping experience.
