This was the week of the summer home tour.

(In case you missed it….here’s mine).

Dozens of bloggers getting their summer on and showcasing their gardens and homes and outdoor spaces.

Shaking off the cobwebs of winter and embracing green grass and blue skies and summer breezes and lazy afternoons with a good book under the shade of an old oak tree.

It was inspiring.

And amazing.

And joyful.

So grab a cup of coffee or sweet tea or diet coke and an English muffin with strawberry jam…..

….and let a little summer sunshine into your Saturday with some of my favorites from the tour.

Laura from Finding Home’s incredible outdoor spaces.

Colorful and joyful summer inspiration from Ashley at The Handmade Home.

Elegant summer sophistication from Heather At the Picket Fence.

Incredible re-purposed inspiration from Donna from Funky Junk.

Happy home-touring random Saturday to you!

PS  In the fun announcement department…..

….I wrote earlier this week about working up near the Cape in a few weeks.

I thought it might be fun to schedule a little meet-up for anyone who lives at the Cape or surrounding areas.

So we are putting together a lunch the week of 6/23!

I know….right!  I’m as excited as you are to get to meet some of you!

I would love to meet and talk and laugh and tell stories over sweet tea and seafood. 🙂

Just e-mail me at if you are interested and I’ll send you all the details!

Well rats, my whole comment didn't post! I also said... Hope you have a great time! And thank you for making my Saturdays with Thistlekeeping. It's my fave blog post, of all the blogs I read, each week. Happy summer, Karianne!

Oh. Wow. Jealous here! Wish I were going to be in Cape Cod at that time! I would love to meet you! How about - wouldn't you love to bring your family to Disney World in Orlando, Florida? I live very nearby. Just think, I could invite you over for Sweet Tea and we could sit and talk and laugh (with, oh yeah, the rest of the people in my area who would love to meet you, too)! Think about it! Then give me 6 months notice so I can hire a gardner, scour my house, buy more decorative items at HomeGoods and quiet my beating heart down to a somewhat normal level! Meantime, enjoy Cape Cod, KariAnne. I know you'll have a fabulous time there! I'm looking forward to seeing the room you design!

I wish I lived near the Cape. How about you swing by my house in PA. I would love to meet you. You could even bring the whole family. Just a thought. Seriously though I really enjoy Thistlekeeping. It's one of my favorites things to read Saturday morning while I'm enjoying my cup of joe. I hope you have a happy fun filled summer.

Loved the home tour! I wish I lived near the Cape, I would meet you in a heartbeat. Enjoy a lobster roll while you're there. I'll actually be in NYC that weekend for a mother/daughter trip with a friend :)

I wish you were still going to be at the Cape a week later. That's when we'll be in town. Oh well, maybe if you're in the Savannah/Hilton Head area again we can meet. Have a great time!
