Random thoughts on a chilly November morning:
1. Almost all the chicks are home. We have a weekend full of football (I’m looking at you Baylor) and games and conversation and yard saling and Christmas movies and laughter and getting down all the Christmas bins.
This mama’s heart is full.
2. Did you know the next season of The Crown is starting next week?
3. I recommended this last year, but if you haven’t put together your Christmas playlist yet you need to add “Oh What A Glorious Night” by the Sidewalk Prophets.
4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We are in the middle of “10 Days of Christmas” and we talked about:
- 9 simple and easy Christmas DIYs

first and most important we need to learn to love ourselves, thin, thick, short, tall, young, old, frumpy and the list goes on... and accept who and what we are.... Remember no matter where you go, you are always there! Let your sunshine show in all you do......
This is a lovely post! Even though I'm trying hard to enjoy our beautiful and extended Autumn, I find myself excited to look toward Christmas. Thank you!
It makes me happy that you've gotten so into fashion. I love seeing your newfound interest. Before, we could always count on you for red lipstick and sparkly earrings. Now, you've gone so much further. Proud of you. Stay strong through this eating season.
Happy Saturday KariAnne, Love all the inspiration.
No matter what you are discussing, sharing, advising and living, your blog is always so much joy. The world could use a whole more positivity in it each day. We all do know you are human and experience things just like we do. But for us, you always let the light shine. Thank you for that. Happy weekend.
When do we leave for Downton? Did you notice there is a cafe there? What a fun place for a little nibble. I also really enjoyed reading about vintage ornaments. I have the good fortune of having inherited some from my grandmother. I mingle them in large, clear glass vases on my mantel at Christmas--I'm not taking any chances of the cat deciding that they are a fun toy dangling from the Christmas tree.
November is so bleak:( Definitely need to start some Christmas! Thanks for sharing my Croquet Mallet head wreath, KariAnne:)
I love your living room and dining room. Can you tell me where you purchased the curtains in the living room and dining room.
I always love these posts and this one is truly special. I have tried to find ways to use my spindles and you did it. I love the idea of the tree made out of them, thank you.
I love everything you do, you have inspired me to take on so much, but...it seems like we as a nation have abandoned Veteran's Day? Since I am a female, Army veteran, I feel lost now. Being a woman who served our nation in our Armed Services, also a mother, wife? It seems like we just skipped Veterans Day, Thanksgiving was barely talked about, and now it is just buy, buy, buy for Xmas-
Thank you for linking to my projects, you always have inspiring weekend lists! xo Kate
Enjoy all you have planned this weekend!! I’m A day late but hope your Baylor gang won! Thanks for the encouraging words and inspiration!! 💛
