One thing my mother taught me when making bread.
Don’t ever make one loaf.
Bread is so much better when shared with friends.
Yesterday I made this raisin banana bread and I made one loaf for us and one loaf for my mother. Except the twins were home for spring break and the second loaf never made it out of the house.
It’s that good.
Down to the last crumb.
It’s the perfect sweet but not too sweet bread that’s perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack. The raisins add a layer of texture and balance out the bananas in this bread recipe.
It was so easy to make. I just ordered all the ingredients online and they showed up to the front door ready to hop into the mixing bowl.
All thanks to my Walmart+ membership.
I’ve had Walmart+ for over a year and it’s such a gamechanger.
You’ve heard me talk about it before, but I can’t believe how much it has simplified my life. It actually saves me money because I don’t get distracted in the store and fill up my cart with impulse purchases and things I don’t need. You can order all the ingredients you need in the Walmart app and get free same-day delivery from your store as a Walmart+ member ($35 order min. Restrictions apply).
I knew the twins were coming home for spring break and I wanted the house to smell like home, so I found this bread recipe in my mother’s recipe stash and changed it up a little to make it my own.
And in amazing news, you can order more than food with your Walmart+ membership.
I ordered this set of mini spatulas and the cutest set of tea towels with my order.
The better to make raisin banana bread with.
I put the order in and selected my time slot and they showed up that morning.
I also ordered this beautiful set of dishes and added them to the hutch.
Here’s the before and after.
The only thing better than ordering ingredients to make raisin banana bread is having an entire set of dishes show up to keep them company.
Here’s the raisin banana bread recipe in case you need a little treat in your life.

The dishes are a pretty addition in your cabinet and the bread sounds and looks delicious!! Thanks for sharing all the goodness!
I can almost smell it baking!! I bet the mini-Thistles were thrilled!!! xoxo
Be still my heart. I actually purposely buy too many bananas so that come the end of the week...ooops too ripe. Better make banana bread. I love sweet breads. I do like adding a heaping tsp cinnamon and a half teaspoon nutmeg to mine. With the nanners its so good but Im gonna make yours to try also. The dishes are so pretty. Always adding something pretty and happy to our days. I thank you for that.
Yum looks delicious! I enjoy the Walmart service too. Makes it so much easier :)
It didn't mention in the recipe what size loaf pan to use.
YUM - looks so delish and I love trying new bread recipes. Thank you for sharing your mother's tweaked-for-you recipe. And oh my goodness the Pioneer Woman stuff is absolutely adorable! The dishes! The tea towels! The mini spatulas!!! BTW- weird side note - I use my mini rubber spatulas every single day - honestly if you scrap everything with them you have a soooo much easier time washing up dishes and pans and bowls and CANS of stuff - get every last bit of stuff out of what it is in. I wish I'd have begun doing it years ago. Seriously wayyy less cleaning and waste. Who knew?!?
Thanks for the recipe and love The Pioneer Woman's dishware. I have them mixed and matched in my cupboard. Love the colors. Your cupboard looks great with them on display! Isn't it great when the kids come home!! Enjoy them!!
