Random thoughts on a Saturday morning:

1.  I’m starting on my handmade Christmas present journey.  I’m going all Laura Ingalls and getting the gifts finished before the first snowfall.  I decided I’m making this to wrap them with.

2.  Now that we are finished with basketball camp and cheer camp, we are back to school shopping today.

3.  I’m in the middle of the mostest funnest room renovation ever (how many times have you heard me type that before).  You know I decorate my house yard sale style so I’m heading out this morning to follow yard sale signs to find the perfect dresser for the room.

4.  And lastly,  you are rock stars.

Every last one of you.

I read what you wrote on this post and I laughed and cried and cheered and gave the comments a standing ovation and this thankful heart can never thank you enough.

It was the day that joy triumphed.

This summer table setting made me smile.

I love those flower arrangements and how the colors truly pop against the blue and white.

See the entire table setting here.

This is not what I’m making for Christmas presents.

I think I’m making just just for me.

I almost said Good Morning, but it is noon here in R.I. already! Whatever time it is it is always time for "Thistlekeeping"! I love your Saturday posts as well. I feel like I've had coffee, or in my case iced tea with friends! I love the burlap ribbon to use on the presents. But will we get a peak at the homemade presents you are making? I was going to say that I want to get mine done before the snow falls but since I live in California that's not happening!!!

I need to get some of that birthday cake ice cream...not just because it's my birthday today, but because it just looks sooooooo scrumptious! I've never seen an ice cream look more joyous, either...if you were an ice cream, KariAnne, you would be birthday cake ice cream! Actually, those little goat milk soaps look good enough to eat, too...hehe...I know...I need to step back from the soap! But that bathroom makeover and that gorgeous vanity with the two sinks...I'd give my eye-teeth for that...but never my ice cream! :) Thank you for bringing such joy to me today and every day! Please have yourself a most blissful and beautiful weekend, rock star!

Those soaps are the sweetest - I am wanting to make some for gifts! And the basket weaving looks like so much fun. I am kind of a plant lady as well so the basket making could happen : ) Thank you again for the link - you are the best!

I saw a mug on my shopping travels that I wished I could have bought for you. In the front said "keep calm and put on lipstick"!

I was laying in bed thinking I should start giving thought to Christmas gifts ( it's not a burden because I LOVE CHRISTMAS)! Then I thought to myself that I better not say it out loud because people will think I'm crazy. After reading you post I said "Oh goody, if Kari Anne is getting crackin on it so can I". Thank you dear spirited soul. Have a great weekend! xoxoxoxo

Oh my goodness! Christmas present talk already? I am not even close to being there mentally, although I will enjoy watching your progress. I am crossing my fingers that I get inspired! :)

NOW you tell me how to do the easiest tabletop after I spent two days belt sanding and grinding thru three layers of paint and three layers of poly on my damaged kitchen table? Possibly you may have told me before but I must not have remembered... Two days in ear cuffs and wearing padded gloves wreathed in sanding dust. And I could have just recovered the darn thing. I did finally reach bare wood thru the damaged veneer (which is why I painted it with six layers and it still peeled off!) and it does look fabulous stained walnut. But I could have been reading in a lounge chair in our garden instead.... if only you'd posted this LAST week.

Thanks for reminding us what happened earlier this week on blog. Life has been crazy and the Joy Trail is an important place to remind ourselves to be. You are the great encourager and loved reading the supportive comments from my fellow readers. Please continue spreading the joy and thank you for your missives. You make the world a better place.

I wonder just how much change, the man (who wasn't upset about not receiving his change from the store clerk) was due??!!! In any event, it is helpful advice not to let people rent space in your head! Thanks! : )
