just living is not enough one must have sunshine freedom and a little flower

Good morning sunshine.

Just in case you were wondering, I think I finally got all the pink out of my hair.

Good thing.

I’m off to speak on the main stage at the Country Living Fair this morning with the mini-thistles who I promised to take shopping after the event to places that don’t sell milk glass or vintage screen doors or shutters or random frames that you can transform into a chalkboard.

Places that rhyme with Forever 21 and the Gap.

If you happen to be in the Lebanon, TN area, I’ll be on the main stage from 12:00-1:00, right before the creative amazing couple from the new HGTV show, Hometown.

PS  I might not have pink hair, but I’ll have red lipstick. 🙂

I’m going to go all Reader’s Digest on you today and share links because I have to serve as a fashion adviser this morning for the seventh grade contingent headed to the fair.

Big decisions people.

Really big.

So while I drink coffee and choose between the headband with the monogram and the headband with the polka dots, here’s few links from my week.

In random news this week:

Best project fail ever.

This wallpaper is so cool.

Have you tried any new podcasts lately?

Great idea for built-ins.

Awwww.  Made my weekend.

I want to find one of these at the Country Living Fair.

Love a good lipstick review.

My porch has a crush on this one.

Have you ever heard of Parrot Tulips?

And I’ve been following along with the makeover.  Can’t wait to see the finished room.

Fallen-Tree

And in the one more for the road department.

A year ago a tree fell in our yard.

And here’s what I made from it.

Happy Random Saturday to you. 🙂

Happy Saturday KariAnne! I always love your Saturday Thistlekeeping links. Congrats on your connection with Joanna Gaines, I can't wait to see what you use it for and hear your review. I do like that new show Hometown, but the couple seems to be trying too much to act like Chip and Joanna, that it's a little uncomfortable. Psst, I would love to see your pink hair :)

I think Thistlekeeping is my favorite post of the week. While many of my favorites are your favorites you never fail to introduce me to something special. It's like a gift every Saturday. Now I must go and continue to working on my ORC offering. I finally got the wine rack down in taken down in the bad gas station bathroom and must find something more appropriate to fill the space. :) Yep, a wine rack in the bathroom. Wishing for a large captivated audience for you at Country Living.

About the red lipstick...always a fave for me. Now that I'm 70, I am being told old women don't wear it! NO! As long as I wear the clear liner that keeps it from streaming onto my upper lip, surely...surely it's ok. Yes? No?

Hi KariAnne my heart is broke I've missed you again! I was at the Country Living Fair yesterday but arrived after you had already spoke. Earlier in the week I traveled to Paducah, Ky (I live in Cookeville, Tn), I missed you at Hancocks of Paducah by one day!!! One day girlfriend I'll luck up and get to meet you. By the way I love your fabric line. I'm a quilter and its so great to purchase fabric I can use to make a quilt or curtains for my home with. Thank you! Love your blog!

Congratulations on being invited to speak at the Country Living Fair. I hope all went well and that you survived the teen shopping venture. I'm all too familiar with that. Have a fantastic week!
