(bird plate wall tutorial if you want to make one of your own)
I spent yesterday afternoon listening to the gossip from sixth grade.
It was a steady stream of conversation. Like who liked who and what so and so said……and who was going with who.
And that the teacher started at the end of the alphabet for class leader.
And that Monday they were serving chicken nuggets.
Super important life changing information.
Good thing I didn’t miss a word. 🙂
When I was at Haven I was lucky enough to meet a talented blogger and designer named Krystine Edwards.
She’s funny and amazing and creative.
Here is one of the homes she and her husband just completed.
And this is only the kitchen.
Wait until you see the rest of the house. 🙂
Delicious post of the day.
These are super simple easy strawberry shortcakes made from pre-made pound cake. Click here for the recipe.

Just extra eating.
Here’s a great idea for fall.

Have an amazing week and happy random Saturday to you!

Happy Weekend! Welcome to my teaching world...I listen to middle school chatter all day. After 23 years of 7th grade chatter, this year I will hear 6th grade chatter.
You are the sweetest! Thank you for including me. LOVE the bird plates & congrats on the ebay collaboration & the feature in Homespun! I cannot wait to see what creative amazing projects you create!!!
Krystine, Thank you so much! The homes you create are beautiful! Happy day! karianne
I love the classroom chatter! When I taught k though the gossip was about the parents.:) have a wonderful weekend!
you had me at 6th grade gossip. Contacting you in the weeks ahead for a 90 minute blog therapy session {after I pay for new running shoes, school supplies, school clothes, etc} ! laura
My dad was an elem school principal. He would tell parents."..I am not sure what they tell you about me, but you would be surprised what they tell me about you. " When I had kids at home...my daughter would spend the first 30 minutes telling me school gossip from k-12. My son would just go outside and play or ride his motorbike. Those days are gone...and this empty nest house is too quiet! Sheila
Sigh! I just love that kitchen! Someday. Hey, the bird plates are awesome, I remember when you first posted them. I am glad you showed them again this time of year, it is making me think of possibilities for Halloween vinyls on plates, hmm. Have a great weekend!
I love all these ideas, the laughs, and the inspiration! You are AWESOME!
Just know there will come a day when you will miss all this crazy.
I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your ideas and your humor I look forward to each installment.
Karianne, The girl gossip is very entertaining. I remember my daughter telling her friend that was visiting after school how a boy on the bus said to her: 'I like you but you don't like me 'aint' that neat?!' That's one way of flirting haha! Still makes me grin. Christine
I wonder how many tubes of lipstick you just sold :) I love that shade! I know as you get older you're supposed to go lighter but you know what? Go big or go home! Love the red and the posts you shared. Love 'ya girl! Thanks for always inspiring and motivating me to stretch further and higher!
Did you make the white platters with the black birds? I just love those! Also, I recently completed my library and I was inspired by you (ordered the fabric online at your recommended website). I will try and send pictures (not sure how to do that?) of the before and after. I still have a 13 year old at home and I love the "chatter and gossip"....so fun to see them develop socially. Happy Saturday!
I want a morning kitchen, what a fabulous idea!
I totally saw that 50 things you should stop buying.... Our 7 year old has gotten where he says quite a bit....definitely life changing stuff happening and I love it, nothing makes me smile more!
love kid chatter, no matter the age! It's a bit more spotty now that both girls are oh so much older in high school. :)
So many wonderful ideas in this post! I love the many options for decorating with Milk Glass! I have a bunch of vases, and also dishes! Xoxo
