family-room-decorating-ideas

If you read the blog….you might have seen this room before.

Umm….maybe 1000 times.

Seriously.

Are you ever like….I mean….we really like you and your sign and your milk container and your chairs and your tan couches and your basket on the coffee table with those random weights holding down those decorating magazines….

….but can you show us something new?

Why yes, rock star.

As a matter of fact…..I can. 🙂

How-To-Decorate-a-Living-Room

I’m joining up with six other incredible bloggers next week and we are all taking one room and decorating it three different ways.

Here was the challenge:

(1)  Shop the house

(2)  Do not spend over $100

(3) Completely transform the room three different ways.

Chalkboard-Calendar

I seriously wish we had a time machine and it was next Tuesday.

I can’t WAIT until you see all three rooms.

Ah…to….the….mazing.

As in giant dice used as a coffee table.

And a bird chandelier.

And hot pink scrapbook paper.

After all here at Thistlewood…..

….it’s go big….or go home. 🙂

I've just recently discovered your blog. I love it! You are such a talented writer and storyteller. I'm trying to finish my final paper for my Master's program. Karianne, I can't wait but I need to tell you that I never get tired of looking a pic of your house. It is absolutely what I would want if I could snap my fingers and transport myself. Actually pull up the house tour often. Not that I'm stalking you, just to get more ideas for when I finally have the time/money/energy to copy some of the ideas. BTW was listening to the radio coming home today and "Walking on Sunshine" came on and when it talk about...."I can't wait til you write and tell me your comin around" I thought of you and your hubby when he was doing the military thing and you with your press on nails.
