I once wrote a post about shopping the 500-mile yard sale here in Kentucky.

It was called “I Wish You Could Have Been There.”

I talked about finding milk glass and vintage silver and mismatched furniture and random architectural pieces that you know you have the perfect home for…..

….if only you could think of it.

It was an amazing journey and full of treasure hunting and bargains and vintage, chippy bits of joy.

And I wish we could have shopped together.

Well….guess what?

Now we can. 🙂

I’m going to be leading a shopping expedition at The Hayloft in Clarksville Tennessee on October 2 at 5:30pm.

Yep.

You and me.

Shopping together.

It’s almost as exciting as the time I figured out you can wear white pants after Labor Day. 🙂

I’m going on a scouting expedition ahead of time so I’ll know where all the bargains are and where we need to shop.  Make sure you e-mail me ahead of time and let me know if you are looking for anything specific so I can see if I can find what you are looking for.  Meet me at 5:30 at the Barnside Cafe and then we’ll head out shopping together.

I’m also setting aside a little time after the shopping trip for complimentary one-on-one consultations about your finds and where they fit into your overall decorating plan.

Fingers crossed that you can make it.  I’d love to meet you and shop until we drop. 🙂

If you need more information or want to reserve a one-on-one consultation….just e-mail me at thistlewoodfarms@yahoo.com or contact me here.

You can also check out The Hayloft website or follow along on Facebook for directions and sale details.

How I wish I could get in on this once in a lifetime experience. I could just see me getting out my big red Baggallini bag -- the once that can house an elephant -- and I'd get out my running shoes. I'd get all dressed up but this would be serious business so it would take serious shoes. In the red bag would be nutritious snacks -- have to keep up the energy and several bottles of water so I can stay hydrated. Also a map -- since I'll be drinking all that water I'll need to know where the important "stops" would be :-) Oh and plenty of cash. You can make better deals with that green stuff - it just speaks louder. And I'm sure that I would think of more things to bring along such as extra bags to put stuff in and do you think I'll need to rent a U-Haul? A truck would be nice -- semi size. I love good bargains and with your help I'm sure I'd find a lot. Oh the dream-- At least I'll get to hear KariAnne stories, right????

Would be such fun! I just hate when being a mature, responsible adult gets in the way of my fun, social side.....darn, thanks for the invite but I guess I won't be able to make it.

I so wish I could come! I always wanted to do that tour, and having you as a guide would be perfect! But being in Michigan makes it a little too difficult to get there and having to work that day is no fun at all.

Oh my...what fun that would be!! I too am in Michigan, just too far away. We dream of "someday" spending a couple of months in the winter in TN. Maybe...someday...Can't wait to read your posts about this shopping trip...what tales will be told!!

OH how exciting! I was getting ready to contact you to set up a one-on-one because my hubby said he thought it would be the perfect road trip. But alas we looked at the calendar on the phone and discovered that is sectionals for tennis... Evan has already told me to just go because its not important to him for us to be at his tennis match but I just can't. He is the "baby" and my last one still at home. Yes I am cherishing every single moment I can with him! (he's a sophomore now... how did that happen?!) Have a truly wonderful time and I will be thinking of you! I have got to take a moment here to tell you how PROUD I am of you! Girl, you look incredible! and you are working hard and the difference if night and day. You were lovely before but now you are truly radiant! I love you and am so proud of all the hard work you are putting in. (now i need to get moving... and follow in your steps!)

Oh, what fun! I live in NE Ohio; a mere 563 miles from Clarksville,TN…. Hmm. My sweet husband has accounts in KY, and I see you are not too far from Bowling Green. I'm sure he would want to see the Corvette plant again; sure he would; very sure… And I'm retired now so crazy little trips should be do-able, right? We just visited the Lake Michigan "coast'- beautiful Holland,MI, then a 4 hour car ferry trip to Wisconsin (ok there were 4 huge semi-trucks and 2 tour buses plus all our cars on that ferry!). I very gladly entertained myself in Green Bay while he met with nearby accounts; I think I'd be very happy to entertain myself in Clarksville on Oct.2 while he works (someone has to, he always says with a twinkle-eyed smile!). I'm texting him in Columbus (on his way home from KY!); I'll wait a bit until I know he's on the golf course. Meeting his brother for a "business meeting"; a great time to mention this great opportunity to spend more quality time together! Thanks for a fun idea!
