Looking for a little blue and white Christmas decor? Here’s how I decorated my living room in blue and white.

Never.

Never in a million years did I ever imagine that those two tiny twins that I gave birth to seventeen years ago would grow up to love Christmas as much as I do.

Seriously.

The only thing that’s better than getting ready for Christmas?

Is getting ready with a friend.

Especially a friend that giggles and makes you laugh and tells you all the things and brings you hot tea and helps get the room ready for all the days and minutes of December.

Want to see our blue and white living room?

Hold on a minute.

I need to vacuum one more thing.

Whew.  That was close. You almost saw a little flocking on the floor.

Okay.

We’re ready.

Let’s go.

Now I need to point out that we’re not really done.

This is kind of the middle of the decorating phase.

The tree and the ornaments and the mantel.

I’m still working on all the presents and the extras that go into the space.

The mantel is covered with white velvet ribbon.

And bows.

And ornaments.

And flocked greenery and the prettiest gold reindeer.

Here’s an overall view of the space.

I’m sharing a DIY next week for a centerpiece I’m working on for the coffee table.

It’s a set of gold jingle bell trees in different sizes.

I’m also doing a fun gift wrap idea for under the tree and adding some other fun Christmas ideas to the room.

I’m actually doing an entire post just on this tree.

It’s amazing.

There’s frosted eucalyptus at the top.

And layers and layers and LAYERS of blue and white ornaments.

There are blue patterned ornaments mixed with striped blue ornaments and clear glass ornaments.

It’s an ornamentpallooza.

And sometimes when you are Christmas decorating?

You have to press pause.

And clean up all the messes that have gone before.

And that’s why I’m so excited to be partnering with HOOVER ONEPWR Cordless Products today.

They have the most amazing system that makes it easy to clean up all the little pieces of Christmas that get left behind after decorating.

There are actually nine products that all share the same rechargeable lithium ion battery.

Want to see how it works?

This is the most amazing helper on the planet vacuuming.

She’s using the ONEPWR Blade + Cordless Vacuum on our blue and white rug. It’s super lightweight and easy to maneuver and turns on with the click of a button and has a light on the front of it that helps spotlight all the little Christmas bits that need to be vacuumed up.

You can see it here.

But here’s the best part.

When you’re ready to move onto the next task?

All you have to do is remove the battery from the ONEPWR Blade + Cordless Vacuum like this.

And slide it into the back of the ONEPWR cordless hand vacuum.

Like this.

It takes seconds to switch out the battery.

And now?

You’re ready to clean all the places that a floor vacuum can’t go.

Like vacuuming flocking off the chairs.

This hand-held vacuum for finishing up a room.

So that now?

It’s all ready for Christmas.

Or more Christmas decorating.

Take your pick. 🙂

and now for the giveaway

I used to start decorating the day after Thanksgiving. But, my daughter comes over to help create an amazing tree ( she really does most of the work) so we will be getting started a little earlier this year. She lives in a big house and decorated three trees of her own already. I'm thinking we'll change it up a bit this year I have a blue and grey room now so, we'll see what works best. Hugs and thank you for the giveaway opportunity.

  18. Image for Trina Christenson Trina Christenson

Love all your blue and white! Amazing tree! I usually decorate for Christmas the day weekend after Thanksgiving. But I leave it up until mid January. After that I remove the actual Christmas stuff and enjoy the greenery and winter decor until Valentines. Might as well get all I can out of my hard work!

  19. Image for Tammy Tammy

I love your living room! Your tree is stunning!! I started my decorating the day after Halloween! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas! My husband passed away a year ago this last August, and I was afraid I wouldn't love Christmas any more. But, I still do LOVE it! I miss my hubby dearly and talk to him every day, and the kids and grandkids miss him too. But he would not want us to stop the things we love. So, we just incorporate him into everything. He is still with us. And Christmas will be wonderful again this year!!! Again, I love your decorating style and cannot wait to see where you got all of these lovely decorations! Merry Christmas KariAnne and family!

  23. Image for Robin Robin

I start decorating Friday the day after Thanksgiving. Wish there were days between Thanksgiving and Christmas to enjoy the Christmas decorations.

  24. Image for Kathy Kathy

For years I have been beginning my Christmas decorating by putting up our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving weekend. Last year I put up my tree before Thanksgiving to free up time for other Christmas activities. I hope todo the same this year. I have found that with retailers pushing Christmas shopping earlier and earlier I need to figure out my decorating needs and locate them before they are gone from the stores.

  25. Image for SArah SArah

The tree and mantle are simply breathtaking. We do not start decorating until the Sunday after Thanksgiving, but then we go crazy. My daughter loves Christmas decorating too. Hopefully that continues.

  26. Image for Lynn W Lynn W

TODAY!!! The tree goes up and I’m making a white cotton yarn wreath 💜. Throughout the weekend the house will be taken over by Christmas and I can’t wait!!! That looks like a cool vacuum 👍👍👍. Super easy to use and lightweight. I think I need one 😊 Absolutely, LOVE your tree and the white velvet ribbon is a beautiful finishing touch to the mantle and 🌲 tree!!

  27. Image for Dana Dana

Usually start pulling stuff out of the attic the week before Halloween.... I'm late this year, pulled everything out yesterday and started last evening. EVERYTHING has glitter on it now! It's multiplying with every tote I open! I think I'm wearing most of it though.

  28. Image for Ann Anderson Ann Anderson

I always decorate the day after Thanksgiving. When my daughter was living at home, we did it together. Always such a fun day. Still, always a day filled with sweet memories. Love your blog and love seeing your precious daughters on it. Ann Anderson

  29. Image for Patricia A Nejmanowski Patricia A Nejmanowski

I start about a week ahead but do not take it down until after Jan. 6th. One year it was Valentines Day before I got everything put away.

  30. Image for Sandra Vigil Sandra Vigil

I usually begin thinkIng about my outdoor and indoor decorating themes as early as August or September. I will begin making decorations (if any) by October and start putting up Christmas decor the day after Thanksgiving. Fall is my favorite time of the year, so I try to enjoy the fall decor as long as possible.

  31. Image for Patricia Patricia

I am starting my outside decorating tomorrow...come snow flurries or blizzard! I'm putting red lanterns with remote control tall white candles in two white urns with pine bows underneath the lanterns. I'll be able to turn on the candles on from inside my house. My husband and I always walk a neighboring farm to collect bows, pinecones, and red winterberry branches to decorate our front porch planters. It's a tradition which we love. Happy Holiday decorating KariAnne. Love your blue room.

  32. Image for Chasya Chasya

Oh, what a lovely transformation. Loving the blue and white. Because we have a mixed-faith family, I begin decorating for the holidays in mid-November most years. Mine is Winter Themed in non-traditional colors and both Christian and Jewish loved ones embrace the whole of it as meaningful - and beautiful. Thank you for gifting us with all the inspiration you so lovingly create..

  33. Image for Eileen Eileen

Oh my goodness! Stunning! I start Christmas decorating on The day after Thanksgiving. I don’t do Black Friday which leaves me the weekend to play with all the decorations.

  34. Image for Pat Pat

I love your blue and white look for Christmas! While red definitely shouts Christmas to me, I find that blue is a calmer look that compliments the winter weather we have outside this time of year in Minnesota. Our home always has used blue in decorating year round. I was always sad when it was “out” and am relishing it’s return to mainstream decorating.

  35. Image for C. Beth C. Beth

My favorite color is blue but I never thought to feature that color on my Christmas tree. Thanks for the inspiration!! I usually start decorating the first full weekend of December, because I like to enjoy Thanksgiving for the special Holiday that it is. Thank you for the chance at the giveaway. They seem lightweight and easy to use.

  36. Image for Sally Christiansen Sally Christiansen

I start decorating for Christmas on Black Friday! We get up super early and run around getting all of the great deals the stores have for us and then come home for a power nap and start decorating.

  37. Image for Becca P Becca P

We put up lights outside because we were afraid it would be the last pretty weekend of the year! I am going to let the kids put up trees in their rooms this weekend and gradually put out other festive items until we go as a family to pick out the real tree 2 or 3 weeks before Christmas (we leave it up until after the new year). Great giveaway!

  38. Image for Joy Williams Joy Williams

Beautiful decorating! I usually start Christmas decorating right after Thanksgiving. It has become a family tradition to go tree hunting at a tree farm. It would be wonderful to win this vacuum kit!

  39. Image for Denise Cox Denise Cox

Your room is lovely!! I had an Aunt who devoted a room to only a blue tree and blue decorations. While I am a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas decor, I still l love blue as well.

  40. Image for Stephanie Brown Stephanie Brown

You know I love blue and white.. thinking about it for next year. Have too many traditional trees my kids expect. I am old soul.. might put lights outside. But the rest of the decorating waits until after Thanksgiving.

  41. Image for Jo Payne-Pierce Jo Payne-Pierce

HI, I usually decorate right after Thanksgiving, but this year I am starting a little earlier. Family is coming for Thanksgiving and I'm having a Christmas Party the next week for some little old ladies from church. I want the house to look real Christmases for them.

  42. Image for Kristen Kristen

I absolutely LOVE the blue and white! I have the same color scheme in my living/dining area and I'm also thinking of doing a blue and white tree this year. I like to enjoy each season and give it the attention it deserves, so I never decorate for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. Excited to get started this year!

    1. Image for Linda Linda

I normally wait til after Thanksgivling but there has been a few years it was up Thanksgiving day. Your living room looks lovely

  45. Image for Samantha Light Samantha Light

Your house is beautiful as always!! I usually start decorating for Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving, mostly because I am off from work for four days so I have time to tear up the house and try to put it back together before work on Monday....LOL. My daughter lives out of state so I don't get to decorate with her but I do get to have her home for Christmas with my boys. I always get so excited to have them all at the house together again!!

  46. Image for jeanne pierce jeanne pierce

I start after THANKSGIVING ! I believe each holiday should be fully observed and I need time to put away Fall decorations. I sort through the decorations i want to use this year. I have too many to display at one season. I usually pick a theme and work around that. SO MUCH FUN!!

  47. Image for Kelly D Kelly D

I decorate the week after Thanksgiving usually. My daughter always wants to start right after Halloween, but it just seems too early.

  48. Image for Sarah Fink Sarah Fink

We enjoy all the fall-ness of Thanksgiving and swing in to Christmas mode the next day! I love having my tree and decorations done by Saturday night so that we can enjoy them all of Sunday over Thanksgiving break.

  49. Image for Denise Denise

You are an inspiration to start decorating TODAY! Because of the late Thanksgiving, will most likely start this weekend so I can enjoy both Thanksgiving and Christmas!

  50. Image for Sue Sue

I decorate a different time every year... it’s when the spirit moves!! It haaaaas to be there!! 🤶🏻 Your tree is so beautiful!! I think it wins my tree decor prize of the season. It’s early yet, but I think I’m safe to award the acclamation now! 🌲

  51. Image for Jenn Jenn

It looks so pretty! I have a hoover floormate, it's like a shampooer for hardwood floors, it puts the water down and then scrubs and sucks the water up, it is amazing! So, I am convinced that Hoover makes a good product!

  52. Image for Julie Julie

I usually start my Christmas decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving. I have a vintage turkey collection that I enjoy in November.

  53. Image for Carol Carol

I decorate for Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving. I'm one of those "one holiday at a time girl" - lol. Your living room is beautiful- sometimes I wish I liked blue but it's just not in my color palette.

  54. Image for Donna Gerardi Donna Gerardi

I will begin next week, Nov. 18 or so. Seeing your stunning tree is inspiring since I’m a lover of all things BLUE as well. ❤️💚💙❤️💚💙 (I couldn’t add my comment in be rafflecopter, sorry. I’m sure it was operator error!) .

  55. Image for Tory Bourne Tory Bourne

I also have thanksgiving at my house. Christmas goes up exactly one week before thanksgiving. That way after thanksgiving dinner (which is the only fall decor left in the house) we clean up the table and POOF! Christmas is on full swing and the Christmas music goes on!

  56. Image for Kerry Anderson Kerry Anderson

I love fall so always start my Christmas decorating right after Thanksgiving. But seeing this beautiful room makes me want to start right now!

I usually decorate for Christmas the first week of November because I've already had fall decor up since Labor Day weekend.

  58. Image for Denise Denise

Usually, after Thanksgiving. But. . . since it's later this year, and it's cold, and Hallmark movies are so happy and convincing, I just want to enjoy the season a little longer! (And oooohhhh how this giveaway will help.) Beautiful room by the way. . .

  59. Image for Suzanna Perun Suzanna Perun

I start decorating on November 1. We always leave for Thanksgiving, and I like it all to be festive for Christmas when we return so we can enjoy all of the fun decor the entire season!

  60. Image for Ronda Thompson Ronda Thompson

The blue room looks beautiful! I am looking forward to seeing more of your home decorations for CHRISTmas. I usually begin decorating around the middle of November. Kentucky is presently cold and with snow.....it is definitely starting to look and feel a lot like Christmas!!!

  61. Image for Paula@SweetPea Paula@SweetPea

Fabulous giveaway! I fell in love with the Hoover One Power vacuum system at Haven and would love to have one for my home. I've started my Christmas decorating but have a long way to go before I'm finished.

The whole room is beautiful. I love the blue and white tree. I’ll start decorating either Friday November 22 or Saturday November 23.

  63. Image for Mary D. Mary D.

As soon as I complete the washing up of Thanksgiving dishes I start the Christmas decorating. Anyone that wants to work off some pumpkin pie can get into the throngs of decorating.

  64. Image for Cathy Ann Cathy Ann

Christmas decorating in our house starts two days AFTER Thanksgiving. That way we celebrate Thanksgiving as it's meant to be without any hints of Christmas.

  65. Image for Cathy Ann Cathy Ann

My favorite color is blue. I am just in love with your enchanting living room and wish I could *click my heels* and transport it into my house. You are so talented!

  66. Image for Nancy Nancy

The day after Thanksgiving. i am a traditionalist and even though this early winter weather is tempting me I MUST first honor the pilgrims.

  67. Image for Amy Koepkey Amy Koepkey

Hopefully I'll start tomorrow with a tree in our master bedroom! I keep thinking I need things perfectly clean before I start, but I may never decorate if I keep thinking like that!! Beautiful blue living room, by the way!!

  68. Image for Sevahn Sevahn

Beautiful blue living room and Christmas tree! Stunning! I start decorating first week of November! The lights on the tree put me in a festive mood all season, and if I'm feeling blue, hehe, it picks me up. xoxo

  69. Image for Jackie Jackie

BEAUTIFUL! I need to pull out my blue and white for this year. will need to let the rustic decor take a rest this year! 😊 I love decorating! It's fun to see your home and the beautiful displays. A blessed Thanksgiving to you and your family.

  70. Image for Audrey Stewart Audrey Stewart

I start decorating about a week after Thanksgiving. I love the blue! You did such a great job. I want to sit in that room with a cup of cocoa and just take it all in.

  71. Image for Jennie Jennie

Beautiful living room! The afternoon of Thanksgiving my husband and sons go outside and begin to put up house lights while I work on the inside. Takes me DAYS because I keep changing my mind on how I want it to look!!

  72. Image for Kim Barnes Kim Barnes

I promised myself this was the year I would wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas. Yep. This was the one. I told my 2 married daughters that’s what would happen. Side note: they didn’t believe it for a second that their mom who starts listening to Christmas music in August would wait. I was determined. Until. Until they started sending texts of the decor they were putting up. And I looked around my house and decided maybe I’ll give that waiting thing a shot next year. So instead of November 1 to start as usual, it will be November 15 instead. Guess I really did wait a little bit after all !

  73. Image for Bet Bet

Used to decorate week before Thanksgiving and turn lights on Thanksgiving day. How ever this year started November 1 st Week since having a stroke takes me longer. And my husband and I are already enjoying the cozy feeling of the light and decorations That we are experienceing. Would be great to have a light vacuum to make things easier Thanks for sharing your home and tree.

  74. Image for Jeanne Dugan Jeanne Dugan

WOW! That is the most amazingly beautiful room I think I've ever seen! I'm kind of speechless! I love you and your house and kids and your blog and maybe even your husband! I've only started decorating in my head at this point. Ill probably start the real decorating next week. I'm trying to simplify but when I see all the beautifully decorated rooms in magazines and blogs I want to go in the other direction and buy and accumulate! Haha! Love your blog! Happy Thanksgiving!

  75. Image for Elaine Elaine

I begin in early November. We usually have guest Thanksgiving weekend, so I leave my decor a bit blended. I finish after Thanksgiving weekend. But, if we are going away for Thanksgiving, I decorate full on before! It gives my December some margin for all the holiday celebrating!

  76. Image for Doreen Bednarski Doreen Bednarski

Love, love, love this entire room and that tree just takes my breath away. Blue and white is my favorite and I would love to duplicate this tree the day after Thanksgiving when my decorating begins. Please come over to help!!!!

  77. Image for Sheila Pearson Sheila Pearson

I start decorating for Christmas after Thanksgiving. I have nothing against starting earlier. I live in the Midwest and we are still in the midst of fall harvest. Thanksgiving is a time for our family to focus on the blessing and bounty of the harvest. It feels wrong to me to rush over this.

  78. Image for Cathey Marker Cathey Marker

As much as I ( and my 11 year old granddaughter) love Christmas and have the desire to start decorating now, I love fall/harvest too and want to enjoy those decorations a bit longer. So, I will enjoy them until Thanksgiving then begin decorating for Christmas the day after!

  79. Image for Teresa Teresa

I’ll decorate after Thanksgiving, in order to enjoy my fall decor a bit longer. Christmas decor leans towards a winter theme, so I can leave it up through February.

  80. Image for Sara Zielinski Sara Zielinski

Hi, I have found its best for me to start decorating thanksgiving weekend, not on thanksgiving day but that weekend, this way the decorating is done and I can enjoy it for the whole holiday season.

  81. Image for Peg Peg

I start the day after Thanksgiving, but I've got pine cones scattered about now. There are several on a vintage blue and white platter; and many tiny ones reside in cut crystal dishes, along with some scavenged acorns. I love the juxtaposition of nature and china/glass, and that they can adorn my coffee table throughout the holiday season. Oh KariAnne, how I adore your tree and can't wait see the mantel Happy Decorating!!! xoxo.

  82. Image for Mary Anne Saunders Mary Anne Saunders

We decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving. My husband is like a kid every year getting everything down from the attic. He loves to see the house all prettied up. I could really use that Hoover between decorations, kids, and dog hair!

  83. Image for Karen W. Karen W.

As soon as my children and grandchildren drive away from the house after our Thanksgiving weekend, I start Christmas decorating. First on the list - hanging the front door wreath and decorating the lamp post.

  84. Image for Nancy Diggs Nancy Diggs

I plan to start the day after Thanksgiving this year. That will be early for us! Do you put another tree up with ornaments that are keepsakes? I wouldn’t want to not use my “memories” ornaments to have a color coordinated tree!

  85. Image for Kathy Kathy

Love your room!! I generally decorate Thanksgiving weekend, but this year my daughter has asked for assistance decorating her house to get ready for a big holiday party. It will be a fun day with lots of chatting and laughter. After decorating, I’ll clean up while she makes dinner. I sure could use this handy vac!

  86. Image for Peggy Peggy

I decorate the house for Christmas the weekend after Thanksgiving. Although the outdoor lights are always put up earlier before the weather gets too cold. We turn them on the night after Thanksgiving. Planning and buying any new items, on the other hand, is done much earlier. 😁

  87. Image for Karen Karen

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS TREE EVER!!!!! Beginning tree set up soon...great vacuum would help with the flocking clean up!!! Merry Christmas Karianne!

  88. Image for Patricia Patricia

I will start on the day after Thanksgiving. No shopping centers for me! With advancing age, that vacuum looks just perfect. Thanks for the opportunity.

  89. Image for Kathleen Heckman Kathleen Heckman

Our tradition is to decorate on the 23rd of December. It was my mothers birthday and we decorated as part of the celebration. But now in my own family I push that a bit and bring the tree in early and leave it all fresh and green until the 23rd and then fill it up. Other décor sneaks in gradually all the month of December.

  90. Image for Vicki Vicki

Inspiring blue and white Christmas! We begin our Christmas decorating the day after Thanksgiving while all those shopping fanatics are chasing Black Friday sales.

  91. Image for Margaret Utt Margaret Utt

I'll start decorating for Christmas after I recover from Thanksgiving, takes a couple of days! I loved seeing your blue and white living room so beautifully decorated!

  92. Image for Cathy Cathy

That is the prettiest living room I have ever seen. I don't really like non - Christmasy decorations (red, green and white) but I really like everything about that room. Well done!

  93. Image for renee' renee'

Looks Beautiful! I am a traditional Christmas decorator. Reds and greens.... We usually decorate right after Thanksgiving. Usually the weekend after. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

  94. Image for Mary Mary

It varies from year to year depending on what else we are doing and whether or not we're hosting Thanksgiving dinner. If so, I leave the Fall decor up until the weekend after Thanksgiving. Your room is just beautiful!

  95. Image for Johna Johna

I usually try to decorate around the first week in December, but I usually start looking through the decorations a few days before. Have a great day!

  96. Image for Laura Harrie Laura Harrie

KariAnne, such an amazing Christmas tree! You put your creative touch on this stunning tree. I decorate for Christmas starting on Black Friday.

  97. Image for Margaret Mills Margaret Mills

We start decorating the week before Thanksgiving because we host a sit down dinner for 60-70 people on the next Friday and 1 week is just not enough time to get it all accomplished. I LOVE your blue and white living room and the tree is gorgeous!

  98. Image for carolyn ensminger carolyn ensminger

I decorate the day after Thanksgiving...although this year may be different because we just moved and I can't wait to decorate. But I haven't unpacked yet!

  99. Image for D Nelson D Nelson

I'd prefer to start the day after Thanksgiving ... but I have to convince my family to get the tree from storage!!

  100. Image for Shannon Shannon

Don't even think about decorating for Christmas until AFTER Thanksgiving. Let Thanksgiving shine all by itself and THEN you can have Christmas.

  101. Image for Betty Vasel Betty Vasel

I always start decorating the day after Thanksgiving! Leftover turkey & cranberry sandwiches on crusty bread while listening to the start of Christmas music in the background! Love the Holiday Season and would love to have this Hoover vacuum!!

  102. Image for Sandy Sandy

I usually begin my Christmas decorating the day after Thanksgiving. When my adult children were young, I waited till the first week of December. My husband and I were teachers and our tree and the nativity set were the highlights of our decor. Now that we have been retired, and have seven grandchildren, I go way out. We have two trees and after seeing a picture of a fireplace flanked by two slim trees, we may have three this year.

  103. Image for Kelly Wilson Kelly Wilson

I cannot get over that stunning tree! And the mantel! The blue and white is perfection. I usually start decorating for Christmas right after Thanksgiving, but with Thanksgiving being so late this year, I just may have to start a little early! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  104. Image for Ruth Meyers Ruth Meyers

I also start decorating the day after Thanksgiving. I would love to have it done by Thanksgiving, but the energy I use getting ready Turkey Day leaves little for Christmas decorating. :)

  105. Image for Deborah Deborah

I start decorating for Christmas right before or right around Thanksgiving! Your blue and white and all your decor looks amazing, as always!!!! :) This sweeper looks super handy! I'd be delighted to win one. Thanks for hosting!

I usually wait until the beginning of December. This blue and white is so pretty and fresh looking! Thank You!

I will start decorating the day after Thanksgiving! I want my twin son who lives in New York City to see all the fall decorations before he returns for Christmas. His twin brother lives locally so he gets the best of both worlds! Have a great weekend!

  108. Image for Teresa Ann Harral Teresa Ann Harral

I start decorating for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving, however I start thinking about it on the first day of fall!

  109. Image for Terri Brumley Terri Brumley

I start the Monday before Thanksgiving. I take the week off from work and spend the entire time decorating every year.

  110. Image for Mishann Lepley Mishann Lepley

Can’t wait to decorate with my little 14-year-old helper. Just like you, my daughter is full of joy and makes the holidays even better. We will be decorating the day after Thanksgiving! 🎄

  111. Image for Kris Kris

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool AFTER Thanksgiving decorator. I love autumn decorations and want to enjoy them up until the last minute. What a sweet helper you have! Your tree is lovely .... and .... do you realize we can see the reflection of the photographer in the shiny Christmas balls? :)

  112. Image for Anne Marie Anne Marie

Beautiful room - love all the blue. I have already started Christmas decorating but it is just a start - long way to go.

  113. Image for N J Helm N J Helm

KariAnne, Even thought I've picked up a couple of Christmas things and completed a craft or two, decorating will wait until after Thanksgiving. I really need to go through some tubs and find only the items that get to come out and play through the month of December. I believe I've said that before!! Your tree looks beautiful and I really love the ornaments hugging each other from top to bottom!! You have matched the blues wonderfully, not only on the tree, but with your entire room! Love your blog -- Happy Holidays to you and your family! Jill

  114. Image for Dolores Talarico Dolores Talarico

I start decorating the day after Thanksgiving, which would seem normal, but for me it can be a fight. The crazy man I married doesn't like "a mess," so he wants to wait until the week before Christmas! I told him there's no way I can enjoy my Hallmark movies without all the trimmings! Luckily, he gives in every year ;) Thanks for the great post and giveaway!

  115. Image for Jean from Georgia Jean from Georgia

Love your tree. I already have your rug style being used in my dining room and am planning on putting up a tree this weekend. Also will be making blue, white and silver ornaments by swirling ornaments in water topped with the tree colors mentioned and will cover my tree with all sizes of glass ornaments. As for the vacuum, YES, I would love to win as I know there will be broken glass on the floor after the grands start working on hanging the ornaments. Happy Thanksgiving. '

  116. Image for Marty Marty

I have had one of those on my wish list for a while. Thanks for the giveaway. I have slowly started with my decor. The tree isn't done, but the kitchen, breakfast area and garland on the stairs are all done. So time to think about the tree. I love your blue and white room, it is stunning. Can't wait to see more of the tree and mantel.

  117. Image for Debbie Zinser Debbie Zinser

I am dying to start Christmas decorating but I still have my Fall tree up! Since I do 7 trees it takes me a while to get all the supplies, tree and decorations down but I will probably start this weekend! Love the blue and white and I too have a blue and white tree! Happy decorating....

  118. Image for Theresa Guetlich Theresa Guetlich

I usually start on the morning after Thanksgiving. This year it seems like so many are decorating early......it tempts me a little. We shall see if I can hold off for another week and a half!

  119. Image for Sue Layton Sue Layton

Everything is beautiful, including your girls! I love that they are so willing to jump in with you helping on your blog. We wait until the weekend after Thanksgiving to decorate.

  120. Image for Terri Herman Terri Herman

Oh just lovely! Unfortunately we won’t be decorating much this Christmas. Hubs fell off a ladder & isn’t able to help so I’ll just have to “window shop” this year. Keep the goodies coming!

  121. Image for carol carol

Oh my goodness, you have such a beautiful tree & so lucky to have your helpers! I am trying so hard to wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas. We have had a lot of snow in Michigan & that has made it even harder to wait. I might start getting out "a few" decorations this weekend. :)

  122. Image for Debbie Debbie

The day after Thanksgiving I clean and start decorating the next day - our tradition! Sometimes we clean a little and decorate a little - but always that weekend after Thanksgiving. Often the tree doesn't get put up until the next weekend. And NY Day it all gets put away!

  123. Image for JoAnn McM JoAnn McM

Not untl after the Thanksgiving holiday. I love to savor Fall and Thanksgiving before shifting to Christmas.

  124. Image for Mary Mary

We go with 2 of our grown sons and their families to cut our trees usually the first weekend in December. It’s a whole event to start the Christmas season. My other son and his wife rebel and put up an artificial tree haha! I leave my fall stuff and turkeys out till the day after Thanksgiving.

  125. Image for Susan W. Susan W.

I start decorating for Christmas right after Thanksgiving. I like to enjoy the fall goodness of November before I switch over to the beauty of Christmas.

  126. Image for Jane Jane

I start decorating as soon as we get home from Thanksgiving. Thanks for the giveaway. Wouldn’t it be fun if I won this on my husband’s birthday😂 Not sure this is exactly his preferred battery operated tool.

  127. Image for Tiffany Tiffany

The day after Thanksgiving for us! And we're so excited because we have a renovated home this year! Love your blue and white!

  128. Image for Tamra Tamra

I'm buying a christmas tree today and will begin decorating closer to Thanksgiving. I haven't decided on a theme yet🎄🤔

  129. Image for C Hodge C Hodge

I usually start after Thanksgiving, but I'm going to break tradition this year and start this weekend! Love your blue tree!!

  130. Image for Debbie Debbie

Typically I wait until the weekend after Thanksgiving, but with Thanksgiving being as late as it can be this year I am going to start putting up stuff this weekend. My tree will go up next weekend so I can have a long time to enjoy!

  131. Image for Nancy Nancy

I always start the day after Thanksgiving. No one is offended and we get to have the decorations up for a good long while.

  132. Image for Sandy Stevens Sandy Stevens

I’m in love with the blue! It’s such a nice change from the traditional red and green, blue just makes me happy.

  133. Image for Jackie M Jackie M

I always start decorating for Christmas on the Friday after Thanksgiving. I leave The Christmas décor up until after New Year's, and then do winter and snowmen until March, or until I get sick of winter, whichever comes first.

  134. Image for Lynn Palmatier Lynn Palmatier

I start decorating early November and try to finish everything, but the tree by Thanksgiving. I have a Santa collection of over 200, so it takes at least a week to get them all out.

  135. Image for Sue Sue

I too, am going with a "blue" Christmas this year and I started decorating recently by making new pillow covers. I found a navy blue, light blue, rust and white colored plaid flannel that I really like and to go along with that I found coordinating solid and herringbone fabrics. So now I am on the hunt for wrapping paper and some blue ornaments. We had a snow storm earlier this week here in Ohio and I am really in the mood to get my house completely decorated for Christmas. Cant wait to see the rest of your house knowing it will be as pretty as your living room. I bet the sweeper must come in handy from having a dog. I have a Goldendoodle (sheds!) and I sweep every day.

  136. Image for Peggy L Harzinski Peggy L Harzinski

We always start decorating the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We like to have our big Thanksgiving dinner celebration and wait for Sunday to begin the Christmas fanfare. Always such a great weekend!

  137. Image for Cheryl Cheryl

Hello, I usually start decorating the day after Thanksgiving. But I’m ready to start now. Thank you for the give away.

  138. Image for Missy Missy

I usually start Christmas decorating the day after Thanksgiving. This year I may start earlier as I’m moving a little slower as I continue to completely heal from two major surgeries earlier this year.

  139. Image for Karen Mary Karen Mary

I start the day after Thanksgiving, when we come back from tree shopping. Can't wait!! (I like Thanksgiving to get it's attention before focusing on Christmas.) OX

  140. Image for Laura seidensticker Laura seidensticker

Beautifully designed. Love blue. The vacuum looks so easy to use as modeled beautifully by your daughter.

  141. Image for Charlsie Charlsie

I have started some decorating now. Living room is done. Christmas will move into the rest of the house thanksgiving weekend. Can't wait. That vacuum would sure make it easier because I love me some glitter.

  142. Image for Teresa Teresa

I always host Thanksgiving and just can't bring myself to mix the decorations. This said I start the day after Christmas. First I start by eating my hidden piece of pie with whip cream and a peppermint mocha. While enjoying those and the quiet of the house I start gathering fall and putting away while thinking through all the decor for Christmas. Second I pull out Christmas decor and start with the main tree. Love your blue and white! I've been a fan since very young because of my grandmother's blue willow dishes (which grace the walk of my dining room).

  143. Image for Anne Anne

I always start before Thanksgiving...my daughter hosts and we cook the meal together at her home........returning home on Thanksgiving night and walking into my house all decorated for Christmas is magical !

  144. Image for Stephanie Fetrow Stephanie Fetrow

I start our decorating on the Friday after Thanksgiving but our exterior Christmas lights usually go out on the first week of November.

  145. Image for Robin Drake Robin Drake

I usually start the day after Thanksgiving, but since we are not going to be home for it this year, I have already started inside.... shhh don't tell anyone!!!

  146. Image for Helen Davis Helen Davis

I love your blue and White Christmas decor!!! It is gorgeous and it complements your furniture so well. I am a fan of these colors too but I go with red, white and green traditional colors for the holidays. The blue and white becomes my year around color scheme. Thank you for sharing so many great ideas and the way you put them together to make such a exceptional statement.

  147. Image for Tanya White Tanya White

I enjoy starting soon after Halloween, I can't help it, the videos and stories that come out get me too excited to wait

  148. Image for Nancy Nancy

I don't really have a specific time that I start to decorate....but always after Thanksgiving...This year though, I will be going away for 3 weeks and won't be back home until 12/17...so I'm thinking I better start early this year...

I plan to start decorating the weekend before Thanksgiving. It is going to take that long since I fell head first down our stairs and am sore all over. Hopefully my dear granddaughters will help me. I would love to have the vacuum to assist with clean up then and always.

  150. Image for Rita Rita

Karianne, my father-in-law always helped me set up our tree on Thanksgiving night. He put the lights on the tree for me, then cheered me on to finish decorating it. I have missed him every Thanksgiving night since he passed away for it was our special time. I still follow the pattern we established, only with his memory instead.

  151. Image for Carol Carol

Who couldn't use a ni e vacumn like that? Especially when one starts decorating shortly after the last mini candybar wrapper has hit the trash, or the morning after trying to find enough recipes to use up leftover turkey dinner? Sign me up!

  152. Image for Mary Lou Perlot Mary Lou Perlot

I try very hard to hold off until the day after Thanksgiving. I love to use vintage Christmas ornaments that I've picked up at tag sales, estate sales, and flea markets.

  153. Image for Carol Carol

Usually the day after Thanksgiving, but we’re traveling right now and won’t be home until the first week of December. So a tad later this year.

  154. Image for Nancy Sharp Nancy Sharp

My husband sets the tree up the day before Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving dinner my daughters and grandchildren decorate the tree. The next day(I don’t do Black Friday sales) I start all the other decorating. It usually takes me a few days. My granddaughter helps me put up the village. After doing it all for 50 years, it’s nice to have all this help.

  155. Image for Michelle B Michelle B

The weekend of Thanksgiving is when the decorating commences. Your tree and mantel are gorgeous! Can't wait for the post on the tree :)

  156. Image for Lauren Lauren

I’m decorating Nov. 22! 😳 Earlier than ever before in my 32 years of marriage!!! I’m getting in the mood and want to avoid feeling stressed later in December!! 🎄

  157. Image for Connie McCabe Connie McCabe

Started decorating today because husband is having total knee replacement Dec. 5! I’ll be really busy when he comes home from hospital!

  158. Image for Melissa Melissa

I’ve started a little, very slowly but won’t get finished until after thanksgiving! Your room is beautiful! And the vac looks so handy! A must have!

  159. Image for Jane C Jane C

The decorating at our house officially begins the day after Thanksgiving but if my husband didn't object, I would have already started! Your room looks SO pretty and I love that your cute daughters enjoy helping.

  160. Image for Jeanne Gray Jeanne Gray

I love the blue and white. I start my decorating in the fall. Lots of what I use can be also used (with a few tweeks) for Christmas/Winter. I love your site, Thank you.

  161. Image for Alicia Alicia

I'll start my Christmas decorating next week. I can't wait!! The white velvet ribbon is GORGEOUS with the blue theme!!

  162. Image for Carolyn Brown Carolyn Brown

Because I was diagnosed with colon cancer and had my operation on the 22nd of December and thought I wouldn't be home for Christmas two years ago, I now decorate the day before Thanksgiving because I feel so blessed to still be alive. I feel like God has given me a second chance at life and the opportunity to give of myself to others. I feel like I have been given a rebirth so I combine both holidays together and invite people who don't have much family to partake in the Thanksgiving/Christmas celebration. For me the decorations are sparse. Just a small 4 foot tree, plenty of food and a lot of love that cost nothing and requires no stress. The beauty is in seeing the joy and laughter in the heart of others.

  163. Image for Peggy Pavlock Peggy Pavlock

Not until after Thanksgiving. I do start shopping for Christmas decor before then though. I like the blue and white so much

  164. Image for laura laura

i begin decorating the day after thanksgiving!! well, actually friday is spent putting fall away and getting the christmas boxes out and eating leftovers!!!

  165. Image for DeMarie Ingraham DeMarie Ingraham

The day after Thanksgiving is my start date for all things Christmas. I love Thanksgiving too much to shortchange that yummy holiday. BTW, your blue living room all decked out in blue is spectacular. That Vac looks totally awesome! ❤️❤️❤️

  166. Image for Botanic Bleu Botanic Bleu

Hi, KariAnne, I start Christmas decorating in November. You know.... the blogger's Christmas schedule. :) Boy, do I ever need to win this cordless vacuum to clean up all the styrofoam bits from unpacking Christmas packages... not presents, but packages the presents come in. Judith

  167. Image for Botanic Bleu Botanic Bleu

KariAnne, I spy two beautiful blue ribbons on your tree or mantel. Could you share where you got the blue velvet ribbon and the blue cut-out ribbon. You know, Botanic BLEU, needs blue Christmas ribbons. Judith

  168. Image for Coree Unruh Coree Unruh

I usually don’t start until two weeks or so before, which is not enough time with Christmas, We just had a 600 square foot house before, and it could get crowded. This will be our first in a big spacious house though, so I’m starting November 16th!

  169. Image for Lynn Lynn

I start decorating after Halloween (in my mind) ... Everyone "sees" the yuletide after Thanksgiving, some years a week or so before. Yeah, that's reality! Love your blue & white Christmas/living room! My kitchen is blue and white, blue being my favorite color. By-the-way, your daughters make Everything sparkle even more! Have a blessed Thanksgiving & Merry CHRISTmas!

  170. Image for Cynthia Cynthia

Im still so wrapped up in Thanksgiving decor and turkeys and fall leaves and even pinecones and decorating my Christmas Trees Thanksgiving-ish. Kind like the buffet at the Inspire Workshop. Christmas is going to have to wait until November 29th, but it's so messy around here I could really use a new vacuum. I'm entering and hoping to win. Happy day, Sweet Friend!

  171. Image for beverly e beverly e

I decorate for Christmas during Thanksgiving weekend so that my granddaughter can help. Thank you for the giveaway!

  172. Image for Janette Janette

I love the Blue and White room Kerianne, it looks stunning.xx December 1st as a rule and I can not wait, I love this time of year, I don't know if I can even enter this giveaway being in the UK, but I thought why not give it ago anyway.

  173. Image for PJ PJ

KariAnne, Thanksgving is my very favorite holiday, so I take time to savor that a bit. We put up a real locally grown tree around December 10. If we put it up much earlier, it may not last until New Year's Day.

  174. Image for Rebecca Rebecca

Beautiful space! Love the mantel!! We put up our tree the day after Thanksgiving, Although with how late Turkey day is this year, I've been lobbying hard for the decorating the week before. Unfortunately, my husband and kids have shot me down on that one!!

  175. Image for Sue Sue

I have strict rule of not turning outside Christmas lights on before December 1st but inside is a whole other story!! I have to curb the sparkle and tinsel enthusiasm down to last week of November for 'official' decorating - but between you and me, you know things start appearing mid November 😉

  176. Image for Laurie T Laurie T

I used to put mine up before Thanksgiving but now that I watch 4 little grandchildren 2 days a week I wait until after. As much as I love it all decorated, I don't want to deal with all that temptation of little ones to pull ornaments off of the tree. I'm simplifying too. I like the "less is more" philosophy. LOVE your blue living room - sooooo pretty!!

  177. Image for Nancie Nancie

I start decorating Christmas right after Halloween! Love your beautiful blue and white Christmas tree. My home is coastal, so I have several white and blue trees as well. Thank you for the giveaway!

  178. Image for Daphne Daphne

I love blue and white, your room is beautiful. .I alway start to decorate for Christmas the last weekend in nov. I've been so inspried by all the beautiful christMas blogs I may startearly this year... Happy thanksgiving!!!☺

I love blue like you do and am looking forward to getting in the spirit. Can’t wait to see what else you’re doing in that room!! 💙💙💙

  180. Image for Stephanie G Stephanie G

Wow your tree is beautiful! I love all of the velvet ribbon! I’m waiting for my tree to arrive before I start decorating for Christmas but I can’t wait to get started! I like to start early that way I can enjoy it longer! Thanks for the chance to win that vacuum! A cordless set would be amazing to have!

  181. Image for Donna Donna

Oh how lovely the blue & white Xmas decorations that have made a home again in your decor - luv luv it I think that’s what I’m bringing out in my decor after using it 20 years ago when I was single And in another townhouse / I used the blue & white with all my mauve decor- remember that time??? So so special to enjoy the decorating with your daughter / she will always have those special memories to cherish - thks again. For all your inspirations -Donna

I start decorating right after the Santa Claus parade. This year will be different, I am 200 miles from my husband and kids, taking care of my elderly dad. My husband and children will be joining us just before Christmas.

  183. Image for Billie Ross Billie Ross

What a beautiful room. That velvet ribbon!!!!!!!! Sigh. We put up 3 6’ trees, 9 4’ trees, and a few table top trees as filler all on November 1. Then, the day after thanksgiving we purchase an 8’-9’ live tree for our great room and decorate as soon as it’s fallen out. Our neighbors think we’re bonkers, but we don’t mind. Happy decorating from Kentucky

All the trees and twinkle lights went up last Saturday and today it's ornaments, nativity and "the rest". I've always been an earty decorator so there's plenty of time and calm to soak up every moment of the holidays from Thanksgiving thru the new year, along with 3 of our kids birthdays and an anniversary that come in between.

  186. Image for Christa Christa

That velvet blue ribbon is exactly what I’ve been searching for! Your sources would be welcomed. My sister and I both have December birthdays, so our mother always put the tree up Thanksgiving weekend and I have kept that tradition.

  187. Image for Tammy Rubarts Tammy Rubarts

How beautiful! I decorate the house first, but the tree can’t be up before Thanksgiving. One holiday at a time, please. 🤠

  188. Image for Mary Mary

Christmas is truly the best time of the year. But with all the preparations and messes I feel as if I have my vacuum out all the time. It would be great to have a cordless to get the mess out of the way quicker.

  189. Image for Kathy Kathy

I start decorating the day after Thanksgiving. It usually takes three days....one day for trees, one day for villages, and one day for the porch./outside. I would love to win the vacuum. I would also love to know where you found the ginger jar ornaments. Your room looks amazing!!!

  190. Image for Cathy Johnson Cathy Johnson

I begin decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving. However, this year I started last weekend. I really really need this wonderful vacuum as a helper!

Love your blue living room & tree - so beautiful! I will start decorating the day after Thanksgiving - that’s always been our tradition. And my dear husband won’t hear of decorating sooner.

  192. Image for Sydney85 Sydney85

Your home is decorated beautifully! We go away for Thanksgiving so I decorate before we leave so when we return I am excited for Christmas.

  193. Image for Mina Camera Mina Camera

I do my bulk of the decorating the day after Thanksgiving as host. However, as soon as Hallmark movies start I get so excited so I begin to add Christmas here and there. Love your energy and positivity( and your vacuum too!!). You always make me smile.

  194. Image for Susan Susan

I started decorating before Halloween!! I couldn’t help it!! Your blue and white is like a breath of fresh air and sunshine!

  195. Image for Tammy Tammy

Your home is gorgeous. We usually decorate the first weekend in December. This year is going to be an interesting challenge as we are moving into our new home the second weekend and anticipate we will still be unpacking boxes for the third.

  196. Image for Nancy Nancy

Wow! An actual demo and confirmation of a stick vacuum that works. Just what I've been looking for in a vacuum. Love your blue and white Christmas decor. This will be our 1st Christmas in our newly remodeled NC home so I love all your ideas.

  197. Image for Lee Johnson Lee Johnson

I started decorating last week! Your home is amazing. I entered the contest to win the vacuum! Would be perfect Christmas gift. Thank you for the chance to own one! Happy Holidays!

I just started decorating. It’s my favorite time of year to transform our home with the Christmas spirit!

  200. Image for Susan Susan

While the turkey is in the oven, a few Christmas boxes make their way down. I always have the Macys Thanksgiving Parade on TV- a tradition since my childhood. I start adding the small accents around the house, but the tree is much later. We get a real tree and if it goes up too soon, half the needles are gone by Christmas! Seriously, I know from experience! LOL! I love your "Blue Christmas"! Happy decorate Nguyen with your two lovely BFFs!

  201. Image for Krista Kelley Krista Kelley

Everything is so beautiful! Your attention to detail really shows in this space! I have never decorated before Thanksgiving until this year. I started decorating a week ago for Christmas. Now I get to enjoy my decor longer!

  202. Image for Helen Walker Helen Walker

I start decorating after Thanksgiving. I’m also a Blue & White lover, so I saw some great ideas....thanks!

  203. Image for ruby ruby

i like to start the day after halloween. i try to bring down a box a day, so i don't get overwhelmed, we do everything except the tree and the village, which we save for when our grandchildren come for the long thanksgiving weekend to help us with. been looking for an upstairs vac. you are right on time!!

  204. Image for Robin Stephens Robin Stephens

Forwarded this to a good friend who loves blue and white. What splendid decor! I started decorating last Sunday. And, it took strong resistance to wait that long! ❤️ Thanks for the chance to win, too. How nice.

Since I’m converting to a blue and white l.R I was especially interested in how you were doing it . I LOVE YOUR EXTRA touches and your tree. You’re the only blogger I follow religiously. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

  209. Image for Regina Regina

I always start the day after Thanksgiving(no black Friday sales that is done). First thing I do is empty my cabinets and wrap them in Christmas wrapping paper also wrap any glass doors with paper on the inside then décor on the outside and put all my Christmas dishes in the cabinets T all the 50 years of décor come out. Always buy something new each year. The tree is last thing to go up because I prefer a live tree.. Try to incorporate new ideas in and move décor from room to room.

  210. Image for Cindy Vojanec Cindy Vojanec

Your blue and white is amazing! And the Hoover would be an awesome prize to win! You are just so talented! How are your sons doing?

  211. Image for Cindy Vojanec Cindy Vojanec

Gosh darn, forgot to answer your question! I am purchasing some new Christmas decor and plan on beginning next weekend 11/23-24). I am surprising my 89 yr old mom (who I care for in my home) and taking Friday off of work so may get started then, of course, Christmas music in the car started on Nov. 1!

  212. Image for Tina Matteson Tina Matteson

I normally start on Thanksgiving but this year we got a new tree on Nov 4 and put it up to make sure all the parts were there. And now its up!!! Love ya, KariAnne!

  213. Image for Dee Dee

Wow this is really amazing and inspiring! It looks so elegant and gorgeous! do you feel that your style has evolved or is evolving because you moved from Kentucky to Texas, and your home has a completely different feel to it?no matter where you live or what you do, I always am inspired not only by the beauty you create but the beauty that you are! Now to answer the question, my Hubs and my girly always make me wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate even though I want to decorate right this minute it just isn't going to happen! 😄 And what an amazing vacuum this is!

  214. Image for Terry Smith Terry Smith

Not until after Thanksgiving!! Have hosted Thanksgiving in my home for 30 years and I can't take down all my fall decorations yet!

  215. Image for Dale gosling Dale gosling

I have started pulling everything out And now must decide where to put what. I have 3 trees and they have revolving stands so you need extra ornaments but will never go back to an non revolving one. Try it !

  216. Image for Lynda Nash Lynda Nash

I start the day after thanksgiving, but I have shopped and picked out new items and have my boxes down and ready to go.

  217. Image for Erin Erin

Ok, to answer the question, I like to leave Halloween be Halloween and Thanksgiving be Thanksgiving, so I don't start decorating until usually Dec. 1st. I also don't take Christmas down until Epiphany. I mean, if you have a baby you don't stop celebrating the day after the baby is born, right? But I also want to say the blue is AMAZING! GORGEOUS!! But with my dog Gracie's tail, I would have to keep a fence up to keep from having to use that vacuum on a daily bases for the broken glass! I've always had dogs and have had more than one tree toppled!

  218. Image for Heidi Mitchell Heidi Mitchell

The blue and white is gorgeous! I love it! I have already started decorating for Christmas. It’s my favorite season and I always like getting all the decorations up early so I can enjoy them!

Working on a few projects that go with Christmas, so leaving those out, start next week on full blown decorating. 2 Sister's and I have gone to craft shiws, for ideas and are in full swing projects right now. I love Chrustmas also

  220. Image for Kim Preston Kim Preston

My mom always comes to town the weekend before Thanksgiving to help me decorate for Christmas. Your house looks beautiful as always. This makes me so excited to get started.

  221. Image for carolyn clifton carolyn clifton

I put my tree up last week! And now just moving forward every day! Thanks for the great give-a-way. And your tree is beautiful!

  222. Image for Jean Jean

I usually decorate on Black Friday because that’s the one day of the year that I don’t shop! But this year I’m thinking maybe I’ll start a wee bit earlier!

  223. Image for Elyse Munger Elyse Munger

Entered! 🌲❤️ Our tree went up 2 weeks ago!! It’s never too early to enjoy festive decor with the family 🙌🏼❤️

  224. Image for NormaJean NormaJean

I start in early November, collecting ideas and "things", but actually start to decorate the Friday after Thanksgiving! I need a new vacuum and would LOVE that Hoover!!!

  225. Image for Heidi S Heidi S

We decorated the first year we bought the house using mostly homemade decorations! Without kids and out of state family on my side, we really just hang decorations from doorknobs, curtain rods, handles on furniture...hubs family always hosts. I'm thinking of doing a small metal tree. And those jinglebell trees look fun!

  226. Image for Lois Christensen Lois Christensen

We usually start decorating the weekend after Thanksgiving since we host every year. But this year I decided to do my kitchen already and a few touches in the foyer. We'll get the tree on Saturday after Thanksgiving since all the kids will be home. LOVE the blue color you chose to go with!

  227. Image for Jennifer Hoppie Jennifer Hoppie

The tidying begins before Thanksgiving but the Christmas decorating doesn’t start until the day after 🎄🎄🎄

  228. Image for Gale Eley Gale Eley

Love what you have done for Christmas this year!!! My goal is always to decorate by the weekend before Thanksgiving, but it never seems to happen. Maybe this year!!

  229. Image for Jenifer Higgins Jenifer Higgins

I bet a cordless vacuum would be great for my stairs. Also, I’m looking for a good hand held vacuum. The cat hair situation is getting out of control.

  230. Image for belinda belinda

I have started blending in some Christmas decor with my Thanksgiving decor today and will go all out after Thanksgiving bc I leave up our decor till New Year's Day! Have an awesome Saturday Little Miss Decorating Fairy!

  231. Image for Kelli Rohloff Kelli Rohloff

I just started decorating last week. Leaving on vacation soon, want to have decorating done prior to that. Your living room looks beautiful!

  232. Image for Rosalyn Dikes Rosalyn Dikes

Oh, KariAnne, I just LOVE your blue and white Christmas living room! I host Thanksgiving each year for anywhere from 36-50 family members and friends so I do not start decorating for Christmas until the day after my birthday (Dec 3rd). This year I purchased a 9 ft pencil downswept tree and excited for the difference in the way our tree will look. I've gone a little more minimal with my decor for all of the seasons so far this year, so I'm anxious to see if I end up doing the same with Christmas.....or if I just go off the charts!! Who knows?! We'll see.

  233. Image for Lisa Lisa

We don’t decorate inside until about 2 weeks before Christmas because my husband can be kind of Scrooge like. He’ll do the lights outside right after thanksgiving but he likes to wait until December to turn them on. He’s really more fun than I’m making him sound. I did buy a tree for my kitchen last year so that may go up much sooner than the real one.

  234. Image for Barbara Moore Barbara Moore

I wanted to start a week ago. But there's one problem with Christmas Extravaganza 2019. We have two 8 month golden doodles. Daisy and Mable. They are going to look at all things Christmas and think it's all toys from Petsmart. So I'm a bit hesitant. #twopuppies? #imusthavebeenoutofmyeverlovingmind

  235. Image for Michele Gaydos Michele Gaydos

your blue and white living room decorated for Christmas is just lovely! thanks for the opportunity to win the vacuum... i usually wait till the weekend after Thanksgiving, finding it hard with all the inspiration online, so i'm getting things together a little early so i'll be ready to go on my regular schedule!

  236. Image for Carrie Carrie

With Vintage Blow Molds on my current hunting list., I started decorating in October! SO far, I've hunted/ scored 2 candles and 2 Toy Soldiers. Before I go over the top, I think I'll be stopping for now...(I could buy them all!!!) ...but for now, I can't wait to get them outside!!! (and the tree / rest of the decorations will go up the weekend of Thanksgiving.....)

  237. Image for Pat Pat

That is such a pretty room, and with that blue and white tree and mantel it looks great! We buy a live tree, so our tree usually goes up the first week of December, but we do have twinkle lights and lanterns and wreaths up earlier. xo Pat

  238. Image for Sarah Clark Sarah Clark

I traditionally start decorating for Christmas right after Thanksgiving....but I’ve snuck a few things in already. Couldn’t wait.

  239. Image for Donna Donna

Love that Hoover cordless One Power. Well, I decorate the outside of the house before Thanksgiving & after the Turkey/Pumpkin Pie munchers leave, I get going on the inside. Your daughter seems tickled to do such a job, I DO THINK that cordless makes all the difference. It does not take as much energy to clean. Such a relief when the cleaning is done.

  240. Image for Marty Marty

Blue and white is my favorite—year round! Your tree looks amazing! And your model is cute too! Thx for the chance to win.

  241. Image for Beverly O Beverly O

Sometimes I start decorating right after Thanksgiving and sometimes I am as late as the week before Christmas! It all depends on my level of energy and the amount of energy required at work!

  242. Image for Linda LaPorte Linda LaPorte

I have always started right after Thanksgiving but this year i will be starting this week and i am so looking forward to it.

  243. Image for Mandi Smith Mandi Smith

Our youngest daughter's birthday is 11/29 so we always wait until the day after her birthday to start decorating for Christmas

  244. Image for Haley Haley

We start decorating the weekend closest to November 18. My husband loves Thanksgiving but agrees to put up Christmas before Thanksgiving as one of my birthday presents. 🎄

  245. Image for Karen Karen

We used to put up our decorations on black Friday. We almost never go out that day. Too many crowds! I try to have much of my shopping done by then anyway. My daughter's birthday is the 23rd, so sometimes it falls on her bday, and the plans need to be flexible. Now that my kids are young adults, everything is more flexible. Nowadays it's more likely I'll end up doing all the decorating by myself because they're in and out all the time. But at any rate, they won't allow any of it before Thanksgiving!

  246. Image for PC PC

I usually start the weekend after TG with the actual Christmas decrating. I may have already put out some reindeer and holiday items which do not overpower TG.

  247. Image for Sharon Sharon

That tree is stunning! ... I start decorating the day after Thanksgiving, but I am tempted to start a little early this year!

  248. Image for J'Ann Chambers J'Ann Chambers

Beautiful!! We start decorating right after we get home from Thanksgiving from visiting family! I'm so excited this year since my kids are getting old enough to enjoy it. They are 5 and 2.5 years old.

  249. Image for Therese Therese

My husband wants our tree put up when Christmas music begins on the radio which is now in October! We held off this year until week after Halloween :). Love your blue and white Christmas Tree.

  250. Image for Susan S mcnelly Susan S mcnelly

I have always started decorating November 1 and leave up through the middle of January. I just adore your blue and white living room and decorations and also look forward to reading more about them!!! Merry Christmas to your entire family.

  251. Image for Pamela Smith Pamela Smith

I've started, but haven't gotten too far yet! Your room looks beautiful, even without all the extras yet to come! Thank you for the giveaway too! What an awesome Christmas gift!

  252. Image for Karen Karen

Actually my daughter & I started decorating today for Christmas at her house. Since I host Thanksgiving, I won’t decorate till the Friday after Christmas!

  253. Image for Maggie Rowe Maggie Rowe

I start my decorating Thanksgiving weekend. Would love help like this, especially with a terminally ill loved one in the house.

  254. Image for Tonya Archer Tonya Archer

I start taking down fall decorations as soon as Thanksgiving dinner is over and the Christmas decorating begins immediately after that! I’ve been tempted to start early this year, but I’m trying to enjoy one thing at a time. Life moves so fast already. 💕

  255. Image for Barbara Sullivan Barbara Sullivan

I always begin to decorate the day after Thanksgiving. It's a four-day weekend and I can get a lot done. My kids are grown, They carry all the tubs and trees up from storage for me, then I'm on my own! I continue to tweak things all season.

  256. Image for Sharon Sharon

I usually put our tree up after Thanksgiving. But start a little bit of decorating right before Thanksgiving. Thanks for the opportunity to win a vacuum! We have cats with lots of fur everywhere!

  257. Image for Renee Johnson Renee Johnson

I start decorating the day after Thanksgiving. I do hate that the season is so short this year but I just can't handle seeing Christmas stuff during Thanksgiving!

  258. Image for Anna Starner Anna Starner

I will start the weekend after Thanksgiving in my home but will decorate at Church next Sunday after the service. I love your blue and white tree.

  259. Image for CAROL CAROL

Your living room looks gorgeous! Could really use the new vacuum, thanks for the chance to win. Started organizing the decorations and planning and will probably put in place the day after Thanksgiving.

  260. Image for Lou E Gipson Lou E Gipson

I LOVE Bleu and white..your room is especially gorgeous done in these spectacular colors.. i do not do anything Christmasy until after December 7, which is my sister Diane's birthday..! a child, with a December birthday always seemed to be shortchanged ben not getting to celebrate both her special days.. once we grew up and started being adults, we decided to celebrate those two events on their own given dates.. it's really the right and sisterly thing to do!! love and rockstar hugs!!

  261. Image for Doris Doris

Your blue and white is gorgeous!!!! I generally wait until about the 10th of December to start my decorating but it stays up until after Jan. 1. : )

  262. Image for Cindy Schmidt Cindy Schmidt

I am about 3/4 done decorating for Christmas except for our fresh tree that we cut Thanksgiving weekend. I decorate every room and want to enjoy the season and it makes me happy getting it all done early.

  263. Image for Kimberly Kimberly

Your home is absolutely STUNNING!! You have inspired me to redo my entire color scheme! Thank you for writing from your heart and sharing your life!

  264. Image for Jan Jan

My favorite Christmas color scheme is red and gold, but I just love the way your blue and white looks! Decorating at my house starts in mid-October. I love seeing the whole house decked in Christmas finery for as long as possible. I find that it takes me a little longer to get ready with every passing year, so I've gone from a pre-Thanksgiving start to one that gears up well before Halloween! Hubby and I joke that since our home is full-on Christmas-ready, we should dress up as Santa and Mrs. Claus to hand out trick-or-treat candy!

  265. Image for Julie Julie

I love your blue Christmas. I have been happily picking up new Christmas decor this month to update my current decorations. I will decorate the week of Thanksgiving, yes, the entire week. My sweet husband does all the cooking so I can take my time and enjoy the transformation to Chistmas.

  266. Image for Karen Karen

I usually start decorating the Friday after Thanksgiving, but been working on a few thoughts and projects for the past month. Can't wait to get into all our tubs and pull out all the memories from the past. Your room is beautiful, never thought to decorate Christmas in blue & white, I am too much of a traditionalist to change, but always nice to see other people's ideas.

  267. Image for Julie Redden Julie Redden

I usually start the weekend before Thanksgiving. I love your blue and white tree. I also have a blue and white room and would love to know where you found some of those blue and white ornaments, especially the ginger jar one!!

  268. Image for Nancy Nancy

Oh, my gorgeousness! Blue is one of my favorite colors. Before I started my in-law apt., I chose navy, peacock blue and lemon grass glass tiles for my jumping off point and carried the colors throughout the space. Now I need to purchase a small flocked tree very soon and start decorating the week of Thanksgiving. I usually watch my grandson, however I have the entire week off this year. Yay me!😉 Thanks for sharing and inspiring! Nancy

  269. Image for Corrie Corrie

My husband does not enjoying decorating as much as I do. So we decorate the Saturday after Thanksgiving every year (with Home Alone on while we decorate the tree)

  270. Image for Claudia A Claudia A

The last several years I haven’t decorated for Christmas the Hubs hates bringing the stuff down from the loft. I am no longer able to climb the ladder. He has been wanting me to just get rid of it all as well as everything else seasonal. I hadn’t realized when I married that he’s Scrooge. Iu

  271. Image for Terie Terie

Beautiful! We usually start Christmas decorating with the annual trek to the Christmas tree farm on Thanksgiving weekend - when our daughters are home for the weekend. This is a tradition we get to continue with our grandson now. Then we decorate in stages 😜

  272. Image for Patricia Cooper Patricia Cooper

I love the blue and white Christmas decor! You’ve inspired me to make a few changes in my planned decorations. The Grandchildren are going to help with my tree when we are all together for Thanksgiving this year. The HOOVER vacuum Would certainly be great to have for when they’ve finished!

  273. Image for Susan Susan

We usually start decorating the day after Thanksgiving, but since it's late this year we will be decorating the week before Thanksgiving.

  285. Image for Kyla Fugate Kyla Fugate

Our family does the christmas tree and stockings on Thanksgiving night when we are all bloated from pie. The next day I go crazy and my husband is stuck with untangling those pesky lights for outside. The best part is the whole family is together on thanksgiving so the tree doesnt take very long and is always unique every year.

  286. Image for Karen Everly Karen Everly

I wait until after Thanksgiving but this year I really want to decorate now, especially after seeing this post!

  287. Image for Lisa Walker Lisa Walker

I start my Christmas decorating right after Thanksgiving. It's my favorite holiday to decorate for! I've started to slowly switch my Christmas decorating to decor that doesn't say "Christmas" or "Happy Holidays" as much - it makes transitioning to winter decor so much easier.

  291. Image for Mary Ellen Mary Ellen

I usually decorate after my out-of-town family goes home after Thanksgiving but this year I might try to get them to help with the Christmas tree while they are still here!

  292. Image for Jana S Jana S

  313. Image for Becky Becky

Hooray for decorating partners! I have some that are all in, and others that need a liiiiiitle bribing. 😁 We have a "tree trimming party" every year that the kids look forward to ALL YEAR. I like to decorate on December 1, and get a tree the first Saturday in December, but this year... The first is Sunday!... and the first Saturday isn't until the seventh! We're going to have to wiggle things around a little! The Plan: Decorate Saturday the 30th (of Nov, haha!), tree acquisition on Sunday afternoon, trimming party that night. We'll see how it goes! Your blues are lovely!

  314. Image for Lilly T Lilly T

Absolutely love your Blue and White décor! So pretty! We usually decorate the day after Thanksgiving but this year I will be decorating the weekend before and I can't wait. Earlier decorating this year due to the quick holiday transitions but also due to the 3" of snow we had as well...the inside only though..who else has pumpkins on the porch and a Christmas tree up at the same time?? I think the blues Karianne are so pretty for the holiday cheer. The tree looks amazing! A happy place to be. My Dyson gave out as I was cleaning up doggie messes..ugh! Who knew you can't vaccuum up powdery cleaners with those vacuums?? I do now!! Sigh__

  324. Image for Michelle Michelle

I usually start after Thanksgiving, but I really want to start early this year, and do a serious decor purge. I have way too many decorations for my little house, so some of it needs to go bless someone else!

  333. Image for Lindsay A. Lindsay A.

I am SWOONING over your decorations - I absolutely love a blue and white aesthetic! This vacuum looks incredible and would be so wonderful for us - I think our old vacuum is dying, based on the burning smell it started emitting last weekend. :( I also haven’t started Christmas decorating yet - I tend to start end of November to early December!

  334. Image for R Patrick R Patrick

Everyone wants me to wait until after Thanksgiving, but for me I would have it all up November 1st! :) So somewhere in between we negotiate.

  335. Image for Sue at Blu Sue at Blu

Christmas decorating usually starts on December 23 for us. We are procrastinators to the extreme. It probably started when I was a kid. My parents believed that Christmas holidays and celebrations began on 12/24 and ended on 01/06.
