Ditt0 on Downton, somehow I missed the little cakes. Esp. sweet to find love right under your feet at middle age or in your golden years. Loved the schoolhouse reception, so glad the bride got her idea of a perfect gathering. The collection is sweet, full of inspiration.

Would you tell me the paint colors of the striped walls in your second picture? Would love to do something like that in my livingroom. thanks! Elaine P.S. love Downton Abbey!

Hi KariAnne, I agree on all Downton Abbey points. Good for ants, Hughes holding her ground on what's important for HER day. Gotta say I didn't like the way Cora went off on the staff in her room. After all these years, she should have known there was a reasonable explanation (I don't care if she was upset about something else). That whole scene kinda p...d me off. Rant over. Nice sale goodies. Have a nice day, KariAnne!

Oh yeah, I watched it! It has to be one of the best ever. Loved everything about their wedding...sigh, so, so sweet. Love the new Painted Fox site. Nice look!

Good morning, my friend--beautiful pieces at Painted Fox! And free shipping? That's awesome! Makes me want one of everything ;-) Oh, if only! I'm supposed to be purging and packing for my move but the temptation to buy for myself (and free shipping!) may prove to be too much to resist.

Thank you for re subscribing me Karianne - don't know what happened there- I missed you!! Here in England we had our last ever episode of Downton on Christmas Day. It was a nice episode not like a few Christmas Days ago when Matthew died! Just watched the Ellen show. It has been YEARS since it has been on TV over here. I am a happy bunny!

WOW what a sale . Still in love with the birch wreath I bought. But I have to say.....Poor Mrs. Hughes....she wanted her OWN wedding special.....and it got upstaged by the arrival of Tom, how cruel.

Thanks for the tip on the sale! I've never watched that show, but I've heard so many great things about it. Might have to check that out to see if I can watch it on Amazon. Have a great day shopping:)

I started watching Downton two seasons late on Amazon and am currently watching this season as it airs on TV. I have to say that I much preferred watching on my tablet from Amazon. I wait until everyone else was in bed, the room quiet and dark, would put on my headphones and from the moment the bell rang in the opening until the end of each episode I was truly enthralled. Hope you check it out.

Oh My Word! The whole wedding was incredible in it's simplicity! Loved it. Will check on the sale at the Painted Fox~

On Downton: In typical Crawley fashion no sooner was the long awaited kiss and interrupted toast, more Crawley interloping...(however beloved very unfair) Nice of Lady Grantham to begrudgingly give her coat to be remade so that the understair people would not hence forth be known as Dowdy Abbey.

On a snowy Sunday evening, the best thing to do is to watch Downton. Oh, I love Mrs. Hughes and Carson as a couple even more than Anna and Mr. Bates. And that's saying something. :) I admit it, I got a little teary. I also like the new Mercy Street ... although I have to say, since I work in the medical profession, the blood doesn't bother me, but I can see where it might make some people queasy. I don't know why I love pine cones so much, but I do. Your first picture is great in its simplicity.

I felt like part of the family, seeing little "Sybby" come home ! I have no idea what will become of me after Downton. It has been so well done. Have you seen Gosford Park ? Great movie that launched Downton. Well cheers ! Love your collection too...

Oh the wedding was wonderful! Didn't you just ache to have a seat at the gorgeous reception (though it was beneath the "family" standards...)?! I loved that she wore the coat and that Tom returned in the end. Sigh...the end is coming way too soon for a beloved series. Now, off to check out the sale.

I watch Downton Abbey in my office with the door closed so I'm not interrupted. When the two "surprise guests" appeared at the end, I gasped so loudly Dave ran in to see if I hurt myself. I knew I was a fan; I didn't know I was so emotionally involved. I hope Michael Gregson reappears to make an "honest woman" of Edith and create a real family for Marigold.

Downton Abbey Rocks!!!!!! Oh that church... and "Mrs. Hughes" was just beautiful ........ and maybe finally.. a new love interest for Edith????? Soooooooo glad about the surprise guests at the end!!!! :) ... now I am off to see what's "On Sale" !!!! Happy & Blessed day.... stay warm!!!

I guess I'm in the minority as I haven't become a Downton Abbey fan yet...not because I have some aversion to such but because I don't watch much television at all anymore, however; your excitement about the show always makes me feel as if I'm really missing out on something special. I dearly hope your Painted Fox store is bringing you much prosperity and happiness, KariAnne...there are some really beautiful things in your shop...you've done a fantastic job of sourcing OOAK items that can make even the most reserved shoppers drool! :)
