Random thoughts on a cold December morning:
1. I love a good Advent calendar. I have one that my husband gave me on December 1, which has a different “scent” for every day leading up to December 25.
December has never smelled so good.
2. Has anyone seen “The Housemaid” the movie yet? I love Frieda McFadden, but I’m worried it’s too scary.
3. It was an amazing week on the blog. We talked about:
- how to make a giant bow for your mantel
- these personalized gifts you can get before Christmas
- an easy DIY for a fun gift bag
- this Christmas DIY I made from salt and pepper shakers
4. Remember the chin mask that we all loved so much?
There’s a brand new version out that’s even better (and there’s a coupon right now).
You can see it here.
5. We are having another favorite things party this year. Have you been to one of those parties before? It’s so much fun and a great way to celebrate the holidays.
I wrote a post about it last year.
6. I’m so excited about football today. Baylor isn’t doing that well, but Texas is making a comeback.
And now?
Let’s see what I found to share this week.

OMG those ornaments are gorgeous. I have to read how to create them. And your garland is spectacular also. Hope you have a great Saturday. Stay warm. We can't in Ohio. Brrrr
Hi Karianne, I made a Gingerbread House giftbag last evening! You inspired me. So cute!! I thought your gifts to the women friends of your mom were so adorable!! I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas. You are just amazing!
I cant wait to learn what was given at favorite things! You must read Theo of Golden. A-MA-ZING! Simply no words for how good it is.
Excellent thistles, KA. I love Courtney's real cedar and pine cone garland. Always love home tours. Funny, my entire childhood we always repurposed mom's Christmas cards and cut them up to make gift tags. I only do on very specifically perfect cards for that now as an adult. There are so many cute other options now than back then being so frugal. Always get such great ideas on your blog. Thank you. And Ohio State ranked #1 and playing #2 ranked Indiana tonight for the Championship game. I am so excited I can hardly stand it. GO BUCKS!!!!
Im in love with the snow globe cookies! I now have the perfect gift for my friends. Big Hugs
So many ideas and delicious ones too! Thanks and have a wonderful weekend.
I just went to a Favorite Things Party today at church!! So fun!
KariAnne So many great ideas. Thank you for sharing my Christmas house makeovers. Have a blessed week.
It just took me a day and a half to make it through your weekly wrap up🤣. So many ideas and links to more ideas….. the house tours, the diy… everything is amazing! ♥️🙏
I'm a BIG Frieda McFadden fan, too. I just finished The Tenant but haven't seen The Housemaid, yet! So many good shares, as always. Have the best week KariAnne!
That nutcracker themed gift wrapping is adorable!! How is it already December 7th? Only 18 more days to do all the festive holiday things. Holy moly...
Thanks for including my boxwood wreath in your links this week. Hope you are having a very merry Christmas season!
