Random thoughts on a chilly November morning:

1. All the chicks are home for Thanksgiving and I’m so happy. We are taking family pictures on the front porch and baking this gingerbread village and hosting the second annual family fun run for 26 of us with prizes and official t-shirts.

I’ve been counting the minutes and when the twins walked in the door I had their rooms all decorated for Christmas—with Christmas candles and an entire Christmas playlist going.

My heart is so full.

2. Just wanted to remind you of my favorite cyber sale going on right now. There’s 30% sitewide over at Colleen Rothschild right now–the biggest sale of the year.

You can see the sale here.

3. Are you watching Christmas movies? Have you seen “A Royal Christmas” yet? It was just on and it’s so sweet. I love anything with a castle and a small nation that no one has ever heard of with a Prince who needs a wife.

4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We talked about:

I needed the paper bag snowflake guide a year ago! I think I'll try my hand at making more. It's a super fun project and they turn out surprisingly showy. Plus, they add that Scandinavian touch. Oh, and I am totally crushing on the mushroom tree. 💕 There were too many great links to comment on this week. Loving Thistlekeeping today.

The cranberry bread recipe looks yummy, it will go on my list to try. I really liked the orange and magnolia wreath. There was another one with tiny houses that was super cute. This year I decided I was going to do less and I just keep getting ideas, LOL. Thank you so much for helping us with great ideas.

Thanks for the links to some great ideas. I have ordered a Colleen Rothschild product. I'm looking for a good moisturizer. If I like it I might look into some other products they offer. Thanks. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family.

GREAT thistles, KA! Kelley Nan's home tour is great, isn't it? Appreciate all the ideas and inspiration you've collected for us this week. Thank you! We're having our nephew and three nieces (two of them the cheerleaders I've talked about over the years) over for dinner tomorrow because their parents are still on vacation and won't be back will Tuesday. Figured we'd stuff them full and send some food home for them to eat for the next few days. Our nephew leaves in a few days for Japan. His work takes him there at least once a year. He has to miss Thanksgiving but we didn't do Thanksgiving foods or their mom would kill us, haha. Enjoy your family!!! I know you will!!

I love homemade sweet breads, they, on the other hand, love my waist and hips. It's a fight I never win. But that looks yummy. Guess I will be baking this evening. I never really wanted to fit into those pants anyway. Enjoy the family time. So precious.

I watched that home tour last week and immediately watched it again! It’s just so full of warmth and character and I need to learn from her. Who doesn’t want a basket of hats for impromptu parties?
