I never knew that Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups that look like hearts talked.
Until yesterday.
I was walking through the grocery store yesterday….
….and they called out to me from the center aisle.
They told me I had enough broccoli and that I could only just eat one and it wasn’t even close to swimsuit season yet and I could always eat healthy…..
….tomorrow.
So I took a deep breath and clutched the handle of the cart and pushed past quickly and clicked my heels together and told those Reese’s….
….that tomorrow is here. ๐
I’m working on a complete renovation of our master bedroom closet and these DIY color dipped clothes hangers spoke to me.
They told me I needed to make them.
Complete DIY found here.
The story behind these boards is amazing.
I shop the side of the road.
My wonderful friend Laura shops at the side of the woods.
It snowed here yesterday.
Nothing goes better with snow than chili.
Especially in the slow cooker.
Recipe found here.
I”m going through a sign painting phase right now.
Perfect sign for Valentine’s Day.

And in random Saturday news:
Here’s my new favorite painted furniture site.
Or maybe this one?
This app allows you to unsubscribe from junk mail just by taking a picture of it.
Absolute genius idea.
Easy way to organize your pantry.
And I think I’m going to attempt to bake this.
Wish me luck. ๐
And one more for the road.
Do you need an easy update for your room this weekend?
Add wood shims to the back of your bookcase…no power tools required. ๐
And in the super exciting news department (I’m literally jumping up and down right now)….
….I’m rolling out something new.
It’s been in the works and I’ve been working on it and….and….and….and….it’s almost here.
February 1.
{gulp}
Can you believe it?
More details to come soon.
Happy Random Saturday to you. ๐
Thanks for sharing my story friend - and yeah - so excited for whatever Thistle kits are all about!
Oh, ignore those pesky and trouble-making Reece's cups. They're loud and always yelling at everyone in the grocery aisles. Looking forward to seeing your closet renovation and you've definitely piqued my interest about Thistlekits. Enjoy your weekend, Lisa
Thanks for this morning's chuckle! I find it's better to send my husband to the market during candy season! Can't wait for ThistleKits!!
I never can resist those peanut butter cups! Thanks for the smile. Happy Saturday you.....
Happy random Saturday to you, too!!!!
Many many thanks for the mention in today's post. Your keen design sense shows in each picture and project that you share on this blog. Thanks again!
What a lovely surprise to wake up to this morning! Thank you so much for the shout out. I'm totally in love with Martha's work too :) Hope you're having a fabulous weekend!
I love that you compile these great links for us! Thank you always! Jane x
I so look forward to your Thistlekeeping posts, KariAnne! Almost as much as your other posts! Some great ideas here today! Thank you!
I can't wait to get my Thistle kit!! My gosh I've always wanted one -- at least if I had know what they were I'm sure that would have been number one on my wish list. And I am so gosh darned proud of you for ignoring those evil Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. You do know there was a serpent hiding in the filling - just waiting for you to take the first bite. And then you would have been cast out -- out of where I don't know but you would have regretted falling for the old line of only one bite. Ha!!! There isn't only one bit because one bite leads to another. Whew ! That was a close call - would you like to put my cell number on speed dial? I know I can help get you through temptation. Big Hugs!!
Are you close to your goal weight? You are looking so svelte. Good for you for dashing by the Dastardly Reeses Temptation. I want a square cast iron pan. I'm assuming a Thistlekit involves boxing you up and sending you to my home to work your magic. :)
This sounds divine. Can you imagine getting a day with Karianne and her ahhh-mazing ideas? Kerry
Have I missed your "Great room change up post", the one where you were swapping living room and family room?
Okay, you said broccoli, so that TOTALLY justifies me saying BRUSSEL SPROUTS. Do you like them? I've roasted them in the oven before, but last night, I cleaned & halved them, and then put them in a foil pouch w/ a little olive oil, salt and pepper. 450 for 20-25 minutes, and they were so tender and delicious. #mouthwatering -- I had the leftovers for breakfast this morning. Yes. Really. My daughter thinks I'm LOONEY, but that's okay. #morebrusselsproutsforme xo p.s. Way to go for skipping the Reeses!
I have loved Martha Leone Design for a while now, she is so darn talented! I am glad to see that you and I share the same great taste!
Just found your blog and I am loving it! Also, I swear those reese's cups have a British accent - makes them even harder to resist!
