Random thoughts on a chilly after-the-party Saturday morning:

1. We had an outdoor party last night and it was glorious. There were stars and laughter and a taco station and a coffee truck and all the neighbors came.

2. Baylor plays today and we are nervous. Nervous for the team and nervous that Westleigh camped out last night at the stadium to be there for the “Big Noon Kickoff” pregame show on Fox.

3. If you haven’t put together your Christmas playlist yet you need to add “Oh What A Glorious Night” by the Sidewalk Prophets.

4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We finished the “12 Days of Getting Ready for Christmas” series in a strong way with this recipe and these stocking stuffers and these Christmas tree ideas and this post on family traditions on Christmas Eve.

You all are going to have so much fun with the outdoor room! It looks great! I don't know how I missed the story about the birth of the twins! I just read it and I'm sorry I'm commenting here but it made me cry! I've had my own n.i.c.u. baby, my daughter. Those girls! They sure showed them! They are just gorgeous girls just like their mom! The power of prayer!

I searched and searched. I cannot find “Oh what a glorious night” by the Stone Temple Pilots. Do I have the right information? Thank you

That outdoor room and your party looked so festive! I can only imagine how you might dress it up for the holidays...hot chocolate and twinkle lights, with carols playing by the fire. Dreamy. Thanks so much for sharing my link, too, you just made my day!!

I love Stone Temple Pilots and would love to hear the song you referenced but sadly can't find it. Where did you hear it?

Hello! Sorry if I missed the answer, and I'm asking only because I am addicted to What I Bought Wednesday, but I'm wondering if the feature is coming back. I miss it! Thanks, from a devoted fan!

Congrats to the Baylor Bear's players, coaches, students and your family and the other deliriously happy fans! Definitely a well-earned victory. Excuse me if I wallow in self-pity with a heart broken into bits. No don't worry about me because I know what you and every other true sports fan knows. We'll see you next year. Enjoy the win!

KariAnne, thank you so much for adding my Christmas ornaments to this post, you just made my day! I love the spindle Christmas tree you made - I don't think my husband would be so willing to help out though. The hardest part would be trying to save the spindles long enough to make the project because he just hates to have 'stuff' hanging around. I'm a secret hoarder of scrap wood! ;) Thanks for all the lovely inspiration!

Enlarged the picture of your adorable hubby eating Mississippi Mud Cake to see if he really had twinkly eyes. They must just twinkle for you, as it should be!
