Happy random Saturday greetings from the beach.
I’m so moving here….
….right after I win the lottery and write a book on the adventures of all the lost socks in the dryer.
Can we still be friends if I tell you…..
…..that the sun is shining and the ocean breezes are blowing and it’s 73 degrees. 🙂
Oh good……because friends give friends amazing (super simple) ideas for the Fourth of July.
Like this flag dessert from Celebrate Creativity.
Recipe is found here.
Nothing is better on a Saturday than coffee and a before and after makeover.
Like this kitchen from Top This Top That.
Wait until you see the transformation. 🙂
Love this dresser makeover and paint finish from Finding Silver Pennies.
His name is Alastair.
I haven’t tried milk paint yet….
…..but this is reason #648 to start.
This week I’ve been busy with the beach house room remodel.
I’m posting more details on Monday…..but in the meantime….
….here’s just the start of one of the projects for the room.
Besides working on the beach house….this week I:
Decided I was going to make my own laundry detergent.
Started saving my pennies to buy this.
Thought about reading this.
(don’t tell me what happens if you’ve read it).
Laughed out loud when I saw this.
Tried to figure out how to paint this.
Oh…..and worked on my tan…
…..and took a picture without red lipstick.
And the blog is still standing. 🙂
Happy random Saturday to you.Â
You haven't tried milk paint!!!??? Honey go get yourself a bag or two...it's the most amazing painting experience...after the tears of its sometimes unpredictable results you learn to love that aspect of it! :D I am still working on a scent that I love for the homemade detergent, but I love that stuff! It's so awesome!
Hi there - have you tried adding Gain Scent boosters to your homemade detergent? I use them & they add a really fresh smell.
Oh my goodness, Karianne, I love that picture of you and your girls! How sweet! Looks like you having a fab time down on the Cape. The walls are looking amazing! Can't wait to see how the room progresses! Thank you so much for including "Alastair"! I think you'll love milk paint too :)
what a sweet and lovely pic of you and the girls. precious. have a great weekend!
KariAnne - Your blog makes me laugh/smile and grin every time I read! I love the pic today of you and your girls! If you're ever in Northern KY, email me and I'll take you to lunch or dinner! Ky girls need to laugh and share together! Come up on a 3rd Sunday and we'll hit the Burlington Antique Show at the Boone County Fairgrounds! Always some good treasures to be found! Have a GREAT weekend!
What a beautiful picture, your girls are very pretty and they look just like you. :-)
You look fantastic with your girls-- what a sweet picture and you can be in the most fabulous place and we can still be friends. Friends are happy for each other when things are going great and they're there when things aren't. So my friend have a fantastic time and I'll be smiling and enjoying the sun with you. And I will get that book. I love books with a cooking theme.
A darling picture of you and your daughters. A real keepsake. Enjoy your time at the shore.
Love Lisa's great creations of food and her incredible photography....and that kitchen of Laura's is over the moon gorgeous!!!...Have a great weekend and love, love the pic of you and the girls...and the "neutral lipstick" color!...
What a gorgeous picture of you and your daughters....just lovely! ;)
Beautiful photo of you and the girls!! No red lipstick, BUT gorgeous dangling earrings:)
Great picture of you three beautiful girls. Who wants to live in NY? Not me, I prefer warm, hot, sunny, humid Florida myself..... grin. Have a wonderful time. I hate having to wait to see more of your redo on your beach room. I think I would leave it just like it is....... I love it like that. Oh yes, would love to make that beautiful fruit flag, but spent all my money for this month already. (Even part of my property tax money..... shhhh).
What a beautiful picture of you and your girls and no lipstick needed. You're all gorgeous AND tan!!! And I can't wait to see the beach house room remodel! I know it will be inspiring and charming. (No pressure...you do it all the time :)) Enjoy!
What a beautiful picture of the three of you in your white dresses--beach life certainly agrees with you. :-) I am pretending that I am sitting in that gorgeous kitchen, eating one of those patriotic fruit kabobs, watching you all work on that fabulous beach room. Oh, and I think Alastair could totally pull off the nautical/beachy look if you adopted him for your project...and then you could sign your name to the drawer. ;-)
Nice tan!!! Love this photo of you and your girls...they are almost as tall as Mom!! Enjoy the beach for all of us!
Hi Karianne, what a beautiful trio in your cool, matching, white eyelet dresses. Just a lovely photo and the girls look just like you. So cute. Thanks for the shout-out on the edible flag too. Enjoy your weekend, Lisa
My dear, what a beautiful pic of you and your dear daughters...no red lipstick but you have great earrings and that counts too, right? Sounds like you are having a great time!
Love the photo of you and the girls. Can't wait to see what you are doing with the beach cottage!
Enjoy your time at the beach with your family! And, that photo of you and the girls - just beautiful!
Beautiful photo of you and your girls! And, I kind of like a more neutral lipstick for summer!
Like Mother, Like Daughters. Nice photo. These random ideas are so much fun. It's a rainy Saturday here, so these will help on an inside day.
Let me just say that you and ol' Twinkle Toes (oops, I mean Twinkle Eyes), have a gorgeous family. The minions were hilarious! Summer agrees with you!
That is a beautiful picture of you and your daughters. Please put that in a frame, so you can enjoy looking at it every day. Oh.....wait a minute, you know someone that makes beautiful reclaimed wood frames. Don't you? : ) *** You always make me smile. Enjoy your weekend! ***
KariAnne, the beach life obviously agrees with you! You look fabulous! Love the photo with your lovely girls...white eyelet is always a summer favorite of mine. Truly laughed out loud at the "nailed it" minions picture. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the beach house...the wood wall looks intriguing. Enjoy your time with your family there!
Without the lipstick, you all look more like sisters than mother and children. ;)
Lots of inspiration! And I love the picture of you and your girls...all visions of loveliness! Your definitely looking tan and I love the natural/no red lipstick you as much as I love red lipstick you.
The fruit kabob dessert is brilliant! Fun, festive, AND healthy (what? Marshmallows are a food group, I'm sure of it!). Happy weekending.
In the last five years, the survey states, a face life, or rhytidectomy, is one of the most requested of all invasive procedures. Calvert states, it requires a great deal of planning and preparation, as well as a lengthy recovery time (a three to five week hospital stay, with about six weeks of home rest prior to returning to work). Furthermore, you need to really feel comfortable with the plastic surgeon you decide on.
Thanks for the shoutout on my ceiling Karianne. That's a beautiful pic of you and the girls. So excited to finally meet you at Haven.
Have fun...you and your daughters look so cute in your white! Cheryl Ann
Loving the beautiful pic of you and your girls!!!! Stunning! Can't wait to hear stories from the Cape! Love y'all:)
I really like your blog.. very nice colors & theme. Did you make this website yourself or did you hire someone to do it for you? Plz respond as I'm looking to design my own blog and would like to find out where u got this from. many thanks
Love these posts and the ideas you share! Have been having computer problems and have missed your blog posts. Being at the beach sounds like heaven right now! The photo of you and the girls is definitely frame worthy ~ three beautiful girls. I love red lipstick but agree with going lighter in this heat. Have a wonderful week! xo Pat
Try this laundry detergent recipe: https://askannamoseley.com/2013/05/the-best-homemade-laundry-detergent-and-why/?_szp=384686 I've used it for a year now and love it! I just don't combine the OxyClean with it, and use it separately, since isn't compatable with bleach, which I use occasionally on whites. It works great, lasts nearly three months and costs pennies per load! :)
Love the picture of you and your girls, very nice :)
That raspberry flag is beautiful. I think I might make one of those for the 4th. I'd be thrilled if you'd link up at this week's Off the Hook!
