Today the sun is shining.

It’s another day in the country.

I’m working outside and working on a wall in the gate house and doing laundry and trying to figure out what I’m going to fix for supper.

Or maybe I’ll  just watch the Real Housewives of Orange County marathon.

I’ll keep you posted. 🙂

This week I…..

Made a pizza crust from the most random vegetable and added fresh basil to the top.

Tried to teach myself calligraphy.

Figured out what to do with my old lemon peels.

And thought about adding wood to the wall…..

….but I painted instead (hopefully I’ll show you on Monday).

Did you see this mantel makeover from The Handmade Home?

I love that tile on the surround…..

…..totally 2014.

Here’s what I’m making for my next summer grillfest.

Lemon-lime marinated Chicken from At the Picket Fence.

The recipe looks delicious…..

….but I think I need that plate. 🙂

Burlap Vase Project1

And here’s a blast from the past that I’m working on right now.

Perfect for a summer table or graduation party or wedding centerpiece.

Make your own monogrammed burlap vase….here.

Happy random Saturday to you. 🙂

Hi GF, Love every bit of the outdoor table setting! Perfect colors! I really must find those pillows and table cloth, so please let me know where you got those beauties. I want to sit there and enjoy the pretty day. Hugs, Lynnie

You absolutely need that platter....but, that means you'll need the little bowl in which to put your sauce....and, of course, that means you must have that awesome weathered table on which to set said platter and little bowl. Ah...if you give a mouse a cookie.... Hehe. Life surely is good! Happy, happy splendid-weather-day! It's grand here in VA, too!

It's a late Saturday afternoon, all laundry and chores done. Bored and it's flippin hot out already. 104 in Phoenix, but you just made my day! It's always so fun seeing a randon Saturday post. It's like hitting the lottery! Have a great weekend. Can't wait for Monday's post.

I had to stop watching The Real Housewives of OC. I could no longer take Tamra and Vicki. I felt my blood pressure rise every time those two came on the screen. I stopped watching Atlanta and New York as well, and may not tune into Beverly Hills anymore. I find that I am a lot more relaxed at bed time since I stopped watching. I am going to give New Jersey a chance when it starts this summer, so we will see if I can stomach watching all the craziness that is sure to ensue! Sounds like you had a great week!

That table and chairs are sooo cute, I can't stand it! I SO need "permission" to paint some of ours (we have numerous inherited pieces) but parents' words still echo: "No painting great wood." So, I guess I'll just have to go thrifting ... Oh. Poor. Me! And, of course, your bright decorations would make spirits soar for any event ~ even celebrating an event as simple as a WEEKEND!!! Sending love & cheerfulness back to you!

Let me know what you think, I have so far to go in order to come near to what you have one your blog. A new camera would be helpful but that will come in time. Thanks so much! Joanne XX
