I just realized I have been super lame.
I let two weeks go by without a word about Victoria.
You know….the tiny queen of England.
If you haven’t seen Victoria yet, it’s a show that comes on every Sunday night on PBS at 8:00 CST.
And it’s amazing.
Here’s just a few observations I’ll make while trying not to give away any spoilers:
1. I had no idea Queen Victoria was so pretty. The only picture I’ve ever seen of her was when she was older with a random lace cap on her head.
2. Not sure about her hairstyle with the braids around her ears. It did look good with a tiara.
3. I think Lord M is kind of hot in a “I’ll help you run the country” kind of way.
4. I really love the show and I heart the queen….
…but just between us my heart belongs to Dash. 🙂
I’m all about a Valentine’s Day breakfast.
Especially one like this one with the cutest garland ever.
You can check it out here.
Organizing your house?
Need some labels?
Cutest spice labels for free found here.
I was searching for Easter ideas and I found this.
Isn’t it the cutest EVER.
And these?
Valentine Hand Pies.
Yes, please.
And random news this week:
Leave a comment and make a difference
Words you might want to rethink
Fix your sticky drawers
And just when you think it’s all about the renovation….
….house projects like these are changing lives.
And one more for the road.
This Valentine’s Day story with extra butterflies included.
Happy Random Saturday to you. 🙂
You are such a darling to feature my heart hand pies. Lots of Valentine love! Yvonne
Good ones today- LOVE the free Valentine printables-thank you!
I love Victoria..... she is tiny and cute ( not like her older pictures)! What else has Mr M played in? Yum❣️ I have also watched the first season of "The Crown" (Netflix) I am so hooked ( all about Queen Elizabeth) ! You can get Netflix free for 30 days(trial)and it is well worth bundling up and watching all 10 episodes during these cold days! My question is .... why can't I find your laundry room makeover. I am all set to run to Lowes to buy the cabinets and make over my laundry room! I have wallet and husband ready!
Rufus Sewell (aka Lord M) can currently be drooled....ahem, ah.....be watched on Man in the High Castle where he plays a more villainous-ish character. The show takes history and gives it a sharp twist to the left so to speak. A really excellent show!
Wow what an amazing post, I'm going to save this for later in the day and take it all in. Such great links, thanks for the Easter idea i love this time of year. Thank you for all the hard work you do for your blog it brings much pleasure to us, especially this week for me it's been one of those weeks. Have a wonderful weekend. PS Mr M had a short lived series on CBS a few years back & did a detective series based out of Italy on PBS you might be able to stream the PBS series we really enjoyed it but it was only one season maybe 2
Agatha is in mad love with Dash too! (She says her ears are prettier though) LOVE the little Queen! Fondest Hugs : ) PS How did you know I needed labels for my new spices?
I am so loving Victoria, too. I find her an amazing monarch, and I am impressed by the ongoing impact of her reign. Her life has always intrigued me.
Love "Victoria" and Lord M! As a tiny 4'11" person...I can relate.
Thistlekeeping- Thank-you!!
absolutely loved your post today!
Apparently the queen was not as cute as the actress, but I will pretend she was! Watching with you. The queen and I share a birthday. And as I read Rhoda's post, I thought, 'i hope someone features her on their blog,' and then you did! You read my mind!
In fact, she was quite lovely as a young woman. Nine children and a wrenching widowhood really took their toll!
LOVE Victoria! She is feisty! Lord M is every woman's dream come true. Who wouldn't love a man who understood women like he does and he is HOT. I watched the second episode last night as I missed it Sunday night. Good to know you can do that on the PBS website. Can't wait to see what Albert brings to the table!
No matter what you post, no matter what day it is, you make me happy! : )
Rufus Sewell.....swoon.
I love Victoria! I didn't realize she was so tiny or beautiful. Love her spirit too. I'm looking forward to watching the rest. Rhoda is such an inspiration. Those hand pies look delicious. Just might have to make them.
Lord M is the best part of Victoria. Just sayin'. ;) I will be sad when it's all about Albert. I like the show but ... I miss Downton. There. I said it. But I am enjoying the second season of Mercy Street! Doctor Foster and Chaplain Hopkins definitely have their appeal.
Thank you for the heads up on "Victoria"!! Love this series so far..... and ummmm... Lord M is absolutely "Kind of hot" !! (:) ... Just sayin !!!! )
Kari Anne what an honor to be featured here! Thank you so much for making my day =)... I loved this post and I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend!
Love Thistlekeeping, even if I don't get to it until Monday!! : )
Thank you so much for recommending VICTORIA to me. The actress that plays her is very pretty but Victoria was not considered beautiful in her day. She has been listed by most all historians as "plain."
Thanks for including my spice jar labels in your features. Hope you have a week filled with joy!
Victoria Fan as well. Was required to study the Victorian Period my entire Senior Year in Advanced Comp. I have often wondered if they have made her to be too attractive in the series.
