Random thoughts on a frosty Saturday morning:
1. The Crown.
2. The Crown.
3. The Crown.
I am not exaggerating. I watched the whole series on Netflix. I couldn’t put it down. It starts with Princess Elizabeth (the current one, not the one who had red hair from the sixteenth century). It follows her reign and her relationship with her husband Prince Phillip (who is super cute) and the challenges she faced taking over the monarchy at such a young age.
And the cinematography?
Seriously.
I know Poldark may have let us all down, but Elizabeth?
She is truly a queen. 🙂
I saw this over on this house tour and I thought it was so clever.
Love the handwritten lettering with a simple piece of greenery.

Happy Random Saturday to You.
I love you!!! You are so so sweet for featuring my repurposed wreath! Gotta watch The Crown! Have you watched Homeland. A little racy ( I just divert my eyes)... but OH, so good!
I agree The Crown is fabulous?? Hubby & I blew through it much too fast! Michelle Dockery aka Lady Mary from Downton Abbey is in a new series Good Behavior, it's definitely rated R, but interesting to see her in a different role...TNT It's a cold, rainy morning here in North TX, have a blessed day!! Xoxo
I went right to Netflix and ordered The Crown DVD and it said it was not available. ? I love Queen Elizabeth and was anxious to get this. Maybe I'll get it in the future. Thanks so much for letting us know about this series. Merry Christmas!
We binged on The Crown, too. We hear there will be several more seasons...yippee!
My husband & I watched the crown also. I am so sad because we have to wait until 2017 for the 2nd season. She is wonderful - so appreciate Queen Elizabeth. I almost want to move to England. Have a wonderful day Much love Rose
For weeks I have been trying to get my other girlfriends to give The Crown a try without any luck. I was and am obsessed with it! I'm so glad that we both see eye to eye on it. Also, glad we are connected again!
I have yet to watch the Crown but really want too. Right now Christmas plays almost 24/7 at our house. Be it music or Hallmark movies. Love all the great ideas and eye candy but OMG your dining room! Every time I see it since the transformation it takes my breath away. Almost makes me want to paint mine but I still love our "Wasabi Green".
Love your dining table. The Target store near me only had 3 of the houses left. Got 'em??????
I love the idea of the copper cookie cutters!! I have them stuck in a tin somewhere. Do you know I've been fretting over giving all my Christmas decorations away -- not even my sad Charlie Brown tree. I'll get some garland and hang my cookie cutters from it. I'm sending a big thankful hug. Oh! I don't watch series but you girls are making me want to catch up!
Hello! Thanks for the recommendation! I think I'll start watching The Crown tonight. I still love Poldark! I'm happy Demelza stood up for herself and that he finally realized what Elizabeth was doing. Her baby is probably not George's though. More drama to come! I'm loving your Christmas posts!
I am loving The Crown! I can't pick only one ornament...my parents brought me home on Christmas Eve...I am destined to love it all!!
Yeah, Pawhuska Oklahoma is 7 1/2 hours from my house. A little far for a day trip, but a nice stop along the way to yours!!
Our daughter introduced us to The Crown. We have seen 5 episodes and I agree, acting, clothes, all things British (especially the hard line on who you and and cannot talk to or be seen with, and certainly don't upstage the Royal Family. We are just having fun watching. The one strange thing for me is why do the floors sound weak/noisy when people enter or leave. One would think the B-Palace would have very sound floors?? Just my quirk. Once we have finished watching we need to line of Victoria on BBS.
I have a number of silver/silver plated trays that we received as wedding presents 51 years ago. Could you share how you hang them on your wall. What did you use to secure them? Does it ruin the tray? Still doubt I can talk my husband into it☹️
Hubby and I loved The Crown. Can't wait for the next season.
Awh man, the amount of hype I've been hearing about The Crown makes me really want to start watching. But I don't want to get addicted! - Charmaine https://charmainenyw.com
I love the Crown!! Can't wait for Victoria in January. Thanks for sharing all the wonderful ideas today. :-)
I agree about The Crown. It was like eating an ice cream sundae. Thanks for all the tips and links. I always enjoy a visit to your blog.
I just adore that snowy scene of your front door ... gets me every time! And I can't wait to check out The Crown, it sounds like it's right up my alley! Happy Sunday friend!
I binge-watched The Crown and loved it. I can remember getting up at 4:00 a.m. to listen to her Coronation on the radio. I must have been 9 or 10 at the time, but I have never forgotten it.
My daughter was just telling me about "The Crown" today!!! : )
My daughter told me about "the Crown". Now I need to watch it for sure! I want a designated dog room and now a dog shower like the one the Gaines' did for their clients! Hope you had a great weekend! Hugs, Cecilia
We soooooo loved The Crown. My husband and I watched 2 episodes a night to stretch it out. Boy I sure would love to sit in your dining room with my Earl Grey. xoxoxox
The Crown is fantastic, but I cannot trash Poldark. What is it about any show that is about merry old England?
I also watched the Crown last week with my daughter, what a guilty pleasure it was. I cannot wait till next season.
Thanks for sharing! My niece keeps telling me I need to watch The Crown. I still need to catch up on Poldark. I think I'll have to wait for Amazon. Too many other things keeping me busy these days! Love Stonegable's wreath, too!
