Looking for front porch decor ideas to decorate your porch for spring? Here are seven ways to update your porch this season.

Have you ever heard of the term glimmer?
It’s a word that I never knew that I needed until I discovered what it meant.
And then?
I realized I had been waiting for it my whole life.
A glimmer is defined as “a small moment of joy or peace that arises from appreciating everyday experiences.”
See what I mean?
I feel like my life has been ONE BIG LONG GLIMMER.
Can we discuss the glimmers in this picture alone?
- I got my hair highlighted to celebrate daylight savings (I thought it might be easier to get up in the morning if my hair were cute).
- I made my own doormat for the front porch and it turned out cuter than I thought.
- It stopped raining yesterday and it was the perfect sunny afternoon.
- I just finished decorating the front porch and I get to share it with all of you.
Four glimmers.
Four amazing things.
And we are just getting started.
Want to take a tour of the front porch with a whole lot more glimmers?
Let’s GO.

1. Add hydrangeas
The best glimmer of all.
See these hydrangeas? They are faux hydrangeas.
And just when life couldn’t get any better? This bunch of hydrangeas actually comes in a hanging basket with all this greenery.
I just put the entire basket in an urn, but when I add real flowers to the front porch later in April, I’m going to hang these on the back porch.
You can see the hanging basket of hydrangeas here.

2. These monogrammed planter boxes
Everytime I share the front porch people ask me where the planter boxes are from.
In amazing news?
We made them.
You can see how we made the planter boxes here.

3. This monogrammed doormat
Here’s another project that I made for the front porch.
I’m going to share the how-to later this week, but it was SO EASY.
And the mat only cost $7.
You should have seen the glimmer I felt when it turned out even better than I thought.

4. Boxwood with ivy
I found these boxwood spheres and they look like they stepped out of the Downton Abbey gardens.
Seriously.
And to look them even more classic, I tucked ivy strands underneath the boxwood spheres. This ivy looks SO realistic. I added two pieces of ivy to each urn and draped them over the side.

5. This painted monogrammed pillow
We’ve already discussed these pillow covers, but in case you missed it?
I painted the monogram on these (after a big mistake).
And the mistake turned into these amazing painted pillows.
You can see the painted monogram pillow project here.

6. Add a wreath sash
I showed this wreath sash to my mother the other day and she’d never heard of a wreath sash before.
So just in case you’ve never heard of a wreath sash before, it’s so simple that it’s genius.
It’s just a sash that you knot on a wreath and let the ends hang. It’s so much easier than tying a bow (and even cuter).
A glimmer tied around a wreath.

7. These bunny topiaries
Aren’t these the cutest?
I mean, you know how much I love a topiary.
But a topiary that looks like a bunny is so next level. I added them to the planters and tucked the ivy into the planter at the base of the topiary.
You can see bunny topiaries here.

And there you have it.
All the porch decor.
All the glimmers.
It’s the little moments of joy in an ordinary day that make life worth the living.
Thanks for being my glimmer today.
PS I loaded everything into my Amazon storefront if you want to pin this and come back whenever you are working on your porch.

Ditto! Love the shoes! Definitely need them in my life! 💕
Those shoes!!!! Talk about a big glimmer! Source please!
What a gorgeous front porch! So many beautiful ideas and those shoes pop with color 🤩
I think those two cute feet in those pretty shoes are a glimmer too! The whole porch is so bright and cheerful, and boxwood and ivy are two of my perennial favorites. I am still all about your amazing pillow save though - absolute genius, a definite glimmer 🙂
Ms. KariAnne, You are all over it, fabulous “glimmer” porch. I always recall the word glimmer as a “glimmer of hope.” Now it’s taken on a whole new meaning. You really rock “Glimmer Ms.”
Our weather is ricocheting between winter and spring. Today is springlike, but we're expecting snow later this week. I'm in the mood to decorate my porch for spring, but I think I need to wait a few weeks. I'll just enjoy looking at your porch and wishing!
Are the bunnies 28 or 35 in pls?
Friday, it snowed 11"....glimmer. Saturday, after digging out, we outfitted the truck for tailgating during the upcoming Air Force Academy Football season...glimmer. Sunday, our now 8 year old grandson (how is that possible!) came over, sledding and s'mores ensued...glimmer. Monday, morning coffee with my friend KariAnne...a continuing, reliable daily glimmer. Do those hydrangeas come in blue, if yes....there's some great glimmer awaiting!
Your early spring/ Easter porch looks almost as fabulous as you do, KA. Glimmer away, girl friend!
The bunnies and those shoes are certainly glimmering! Love your spring porch.
Love your porch, looks so like Spring has come. Now I'm showing my age but, there use to be a little song about the stars that glimmer. I'll be trying to remember that all day,ha! Love the door mat and wreath.
The porch is beautiful!!! The bunnies are adorbs! AND THOSE SHOES...they're 🎶 "gonna be pop-uuuu-lar#🎶if you share where you found those beauties🩷
You look great in that color and the highlights..meow. your porches always look stunning. I need to get busy but in Ohio the weather is so up and down. Again the house looks grest.
If I were taking a walk down your block and saw that front porch, I'd come knock on the door and say, "Howdy!" So inviting. Perfect!
Love your beautiful porch Karianne! Where did you get the black and white mat underneath the welcome mat you made?
Those shoes!!! That porch!!! Perfecto!!
