But just in case.

Just in case the leaves are falling and it’s a crisp cool fall day and you had a few minutes here are a few DIY pumpkin project ideas for a lazy fall afternoon.

And before we discuss pumpkins that you don’t need to carve–just because I’m feeling sassy and all fall decorated up?

I have a question for you.

7 No-Carve Pumpkin Ideas

1. DIY mercury glass pumpkin

One of my all-time favorite pumpkin projects I’ve ever done.

Even if you aren’t about pumpkins—y0u can use the instructions to transform any ordinary glass into mercury glass. I saw someone using this with ornaments or even a vase.

It’s the easiest project and looks so fancy.

2. DIY Silhouette Pumpkins

I love anything with a silhouette.

Especially a pumpkin.

I painted these pumpkins when my children were a lot littler and they are such a fun way to look back on those sweet faces.

3. wood slice pumpkins

I think this project is proof that there’s a pumpkin in everything.

These pumpkins are made from wood slices from a tree that fell at the farmhouse. I have instructions on how to make them along with this rustic pumpkin stand.

I’ve painted tons of pumpkins.

Polka dots and stripes and spiders and numbers.

But my favorite thing I’ve ever painted? The state where I lived. I even added a little star where we lived in Kentucky. I need to paint a Texas state pumpkin, too.

BONUS IDEA:

I know I said 7—but don’t forget about these pumpkins that I painted for the front porch this year.

I just added two colors to a paint palette and painted the pumpkin with different vertical stripes and then blended them together.

And someone suggested they should be sealed, and they were right. You could spray them with an acrylic sealant if you are putting them on a porch like I did.

Pumpkins are one of the easiest and simplest ways to decorate for fall.

Hopefully, now you have a few ideas for all those empty pumpkin spaces in your home.
