Please tell me what the weather is like where you are.

Is it hot?

Here in Texas, it’s getting hotter by the minute. It was 100 degrees here yesterday and it’s supposed to be that hot the rest of the week.

And it’s only June.

Yikes.

I’m looking at you July, August and September.

And I’m ready.

Because the only way to beat the heat is to look cool (I literally cracked myself up at the audacity I had to type that super corny line).

Hee. Hee.

I’m all about simple summer dress with cute shoes and one of the easiest ways I’ve found to stretch my summer outfit budget is with cute shoes.

Shoes that go with everything.

Shoes that are super comfortable.

And the best part?

Shoes that looks so high-end but they are SO affordable.

Here are 12 of the CUTEST summer shoes under $20.

1. These tennis shoes

Everything I’m sharing here is from Walmart. It’s kind of my go-to for summer shoes and I’ve been shopping Walmart for years. Sometimes things sell out pretty quickly, so I tried to only link shoes that are still fully stocked. Also—you may have some of these in your store, but just in case you can’t find your size or your store is sold out, I have linked these 10 summer shoes under $20 online on Walmart.com.

Whew.

That was a lot of info.

Are you ready to go shoe shopping? Let’s start off with my fave tennis shoes. These are the second pair I’ve purchased of these (the first pair held up with a LOT of wear for over two years). They are SUPER comfortable and they are slightly elevated (which of course makes me look so much taller).

I love the little gold band on the back and they wash up perfectly.

You can see these tennis shoes here.

2. These leopard flats

You can see these flats on me in the first picture.

I actually ordered them in four different colors because the price point is $12.98.

See what I mean?

Are you kidding me with these prices? I think I paid that much for a package of chicken last week.

They have a square toe (so on-trend for summer and fall) and the cutest little bow.

But most importantly? They are SO COZY. The soles are cushioned and so comfortable.

You can see the leather flats here.

A single pink flat slide sandal with a large, rectangular tortoiseshell buckle on the strap across the top of the foot and a low heel. The sandal has a textured fabric finish and a plain beige sole.

3. These pink slides with tortoise shell buckle

Isn’t this the cutest color combination?

They come in several different colors and have the tiniest heel with this woven pink fabric and a comfort sole.

So high end looking and they are under $17.

You can see them here.

4. These tan string bow ballet flats

Here’s the tan version of the ballet flats with the tiny bows.

My feet are a little wide (and I have flat feet, too) and the cut of the shoes is so flattering.

A black espadrille sandal with an ankle strap and buckle, featuring a closed-toe design with beige braided detailing on the front and sole, creating a casual yet stylish look. The sole is flat, made of woven jute material.

5. These espadrille flats with contrasting stitching

These flats come in two different colorways. I wanted the blue pair with leather accents, but it’s sold out in my size (there are still a few sizes left in that color).

But this black espadrille has the cutest contrasting stitching and they are available in all sizes.

You can see them here.

6. These red string bow ballet flats

There is NOTHING and I mean nothing that will make an outfit pop than a little bit of red. I think of them as a neutral because they match every outfit.

They match my red lipstick perfectly.

And the square toes are perfect and on-trend summer.

You can see them here.

A brown, flat sandal featuring a single toe strap and two crossing straps over the instep. It has a gold buckle on the outer side and a brown sole with a golden trim along the edge. The insole is light brown with visible stitching.

7. These buckle toe loop sandals

Look at the cutest buckle on these sandals.

And the design is so cute and on-trend for summer. The perfect neutral sandal to go with any outfit.

A women's sandal with a tan sole and a beige upper strap featuring a chevron pattern. The sandal has a thong-style front and an ankle strap with a silver buckle for fastening.

8. These summer woven sandals

These summer sandals come in several different color, but I love this woven pattern.

The buckle adjusts at the heel and the sole has extra padding so it’s so comfortable.

You can see them here.

A single, shiny silver ballet flat with a small bow on the front. The shoe has a black sole and a white trim around the opening.

9. This square-toed silver ballet flats

I don’t think I’ve ever owned silver shoes before.

I’ve seen so many different people wearing them and now I’m going to try them for myself.

A beige flat slip-on sandal with a wide, woven raffia strap across the top featuring a large, tortoise-shell patterned buckle. The sole is minimalist and appears cushioned for comfort.

10. These raffia slides

And we close out our top ten shoes with these raffia slides.

The buckle is absolute PERFECTION.

And they are so comfortable, too, with the Memory Foam sole.

I love cute shoes but when summer and the heat arrives I just want to be bare foot. My Mom has been appalled by that my whole life. LOL

You asked for summertemp, just now, in the south part of Norway it’s 25 C and sunshine. I don’t know what that means in Fahrenheit, but it’s hot to be in Norway. Love it. Loved the shoes nr 7 and 8. My style. I have sandals from Panama Jack (Spanish I think) they are NOT affordable so have to stick with them rest of my life I suppose. Have a nice day😀

I’d love to buy the pink slides and the black espadrilles but I have arch issues which means $$$ shoes. Because of that I have minimal shoes.

Hi KariAnne, I’m 2015, when our 2nd (we have 3) daughters got married, I bought myself some silver flip flops from Target to go with my sleeveless, light material, dark blue with sprinkles of pink maxi dress, to wear to our daughters late June wedding. The wedding was at a park in Amish country, and was pretty hot. Yes!! You Wanted All that detail. Anyway. I wore those silver shoes A lot afterwards. I Loved them! Unfortunately, I kinda wore em into the ground. So I eventually ditched them. Recently, I’m beckoning back to how those shoes went with a ton of my outfits, so think I’d like to purchase another pair. And You gave me another “push” to do it. Just by your shoe post! 😁 I mean, I Know that’s why you wrote this post! Right?? To encourage More Shoe shopping! But not at stores that break the bank. Thanks for a fun shoe post. 😊👍🏻❤️ Most sincerely, Lee Christine S.
