A close-up of a layered dessert in a small clear glass. The dessert consists of sliced strawberries, blueberries, cream, and a topping of granola—perfect for last minute Fourth of July desserts. Several additional glasses with the same treat are blurred in the background on a wooden table.

Mini Tri Berry Trifle

This is such a fun recipe made from fresh fruit and wafer cookies. You can make it ahead and refridgerate it for a party.

Ingredients

  • strawberries
  • blueberries
  • blackberries
  • thin wafer sugar cookies
  • whipped cream

Method

  1. Place a thin wafer sugar cookie in the bottom of the glass.
(total aside: these cookies are so good and it's only 150 calories for two of them)
  2. Cut the strawberries into slices and place around the edge of the glass. I used about five slices and placed them against the sides of the cup.
  3. Add whipped cream to the center of the strawberries to keep them upright.
  4. Add a large blackberry to the center of the whipped cream.
  5. Place another cookie on top of the strawberries and whipped cream.
  6. Add another layer of strawberries with whipped cream in the center.
  7. Top it off with blueberries and crumble part of a cookie and add to the top.

Notes

I made these in the morning and refrigerated them until the party.
I think letting them sit for a while made them taste even better.
