How to Make Felted Soap

Did you know that I have a projects page?

Every time I make a project like felted soap or a stamped silver necklace from a spoon or a faux inlaid wood table or a pallet wood Christmas tree…..

….I put it on that page.

Because….seriously….between you and me….the only thing better than one project….

…is a whole page of them. 🙂

How to Make a Picture Frame Memory Wreath

And when people go to that page and want to make the projects….

…..I get lots of questions. 🙂

Questions about where to get supplies or ribbon or silver stamps or picture frames…..like the ones I used to make this wreath.

(here’s the best tip ever on mini picture frames….use wedding place card holders….you can buy them in bulk and they are so much more affordable)

So to make it easier….I put together a collection of supplies for some of the projects on my blog…..

….all in one place.

So if you want to make a monogrammed door mat for your front door for the holidays….here’s the perfect mat to start with.

Getting your guest room ready for guests?  Here’s the vinyl compass to make the compass ceiling medallion project.

Does your mantel need some felt Christmas trees?

Here’s the colors of felt I used to make mine.

I have so many fun silver stamping projects on the blog and if you are interested in making any of them….

….here’s a set of silver stamps in the size I use and a steel stamping block.

I’ve listed wool roving…..if you want to make the felted soap.

And cork tiles if you want to tackle the cork desk project.

And my favorite new find (although you probably already knew about it)….

….this chalk marker.

It makes chalk art so much easier.

With the fine line you can re-create all those amazing chalk drawings you see everywhere.

I hope these projects and supplies inspire you to do a little crafting and creating and stamping over the holidays.

And if you have a question about a project or supply or detail….always ask.

Because after all….

….we have an unlimited question policy here at Thistlewood Farms.  🙂

Very cool! Love the chalk pen! And I've already followed the link to the little picture frames - I've loved that project since the first time I saw it! Thanks for sharing, lovely lady! :) PS - Is it me, or does it feel like MARCH outside today? Crazy! :)

Let me warn you about the chalk pen. I love them too, but they only work on a manufactured (purchased from a store) type of chalkboard. I did a whole post on this. The chalkboards that I make and then use these pens, become permanent. Here is that post... http://foreverdecorating.blogspot.com/2013/01/lets-talk-chalk-beware.html

This totally makes me want to make stuff. So just stop. Don't you know I am suffering from an accute case of project back up? I have to finish the vintage VWBug carrying a Christmas tree snow globe I've started (although cork might be a nice base to work from...hmm.) before Christmas Eve, and then it's the Holidays and the kids are home all the time. It will be Jan 6th at the earliest before I can do anything. So no more enticing ideas, you wicked temptress with luscious red lips. The Other Marian
