How To Paint Plywood  Floors

I get questions all the time about how I painted these plywood subfloors

CAN YOU PAINT PLYWOOD SUBFLOORS?

Yes!!!! You can. We painted these plywood subfloors in a weekend after we pulled up the carpet.

WHERE DO I START WITH PAINTED PLYWOOD FLOORS?

Start by ripping up the carpet. Check to make sure the plywood is in good shape. You'll also want to remove any nails.

DO I NEED TO PRIME THE FLOOR FIRST?

Yes. You want to clean the floor and remove any debris and then prime it.

Q: WHAT DO YOU USE TO MAP OUT THE SQUARES?

I really like to use painter's tape. It's a great way to get a clean line with the squares on the floor.
