I just ran the numbers and looked up the top posts of 2020.

And it’s official.

You like paint.

Seriously.

Four of the top posts were about paint, paint, and more paint.  Who knew?  And that made me think.  Should I post more paint posts in 2021?  Are there things about paint you wish you knew and wanted to ask someone who wears lipstick and new fancy bobby pins she got for Christmas?

And can I follow up that query with another question?

Are there any other decorating posts you’d like to see in the new year?

Because I have 10 bright red fingernails that would love to write them.

In the meantime, I’ll be photographing the handmade gifts from Christmas and posting all the projects you all loved from 2020.

Here they are counting down from 1 – 10.

Hope you enjoy. 🙂

Number 10

The top ten reader post of the year (insert drum roll please) was this simple update to the outside of our house.

We weren’t sure what the metal was under all that dust and dirt, but I knew it needed to be copper.

So we created this simple fix for a new copper roof.

There was a little spare time to fill up my cart. 🙂

But of all the shopping posts in all the world, this one was your favorite.

And back to paint.

This one held at the number one spot for several months and stayed in the top ten for the year.

I am all about a good yard sale.

You can find the best stuff for the cheapest prices. The challenge? Figuring out how to add it to your home.

Here are some creative ways to decorate with all the stuff that comes home in the back of your car.

Mostly because it made my mom so happy.

Can you give us direction on what paint is best and technique to paint kitchen cabinets? I’d like to take this on in 2021, but I’m pretty nervous about paint chipping in a high traffic area. Thanks for your blog, I read every post and enjoy them so much. We all need a little light during these difficult times.

Oooh!!! I love Top T’en Lists! And you gave us extra people’s, too!! :) Could you think about easy updates for the exterior that isn’t too labor intensive ? My tiny brick ranch needs curb appeal. ;) Can’t wait to see what creative things and funny stories you share in 2021. Happy New Year!

Love the end of year (kinda like I love the weekly wrap up :)) reminds me of what has taken place over the last year. We just bought another place that needs some help on the exterior. Have ideas but welcome any you may have. You are the best!

I really like your walmart posts. I feel like you are really digging for good stuff. Could we have an additional Saturday in our week. Ha! I do love your Saturday posts. When you garage sale , I would like to know what you've had to pay. Its interesting to me because we live all over the place. Not very interested in fashion, cooking, or makeup,

Hello! You are my absolute favorite blogger! I was just curios how you decorate after Christmas for the winter months? Thank you!!

This made me laugh because I referenced your posts on paint at least ten times. During our time isolating and hanging out at home, I painted just about everything I could get my hands on. Your posts explaining the different whites and your favorite grays really, really helped me narrow down my choices. Thank you for begging my favorite blogger in all of blog land, and I look forward to all your entries in 2021!
