I just ran the numbers and looked up the top posts of 2020.
And it’s official.
You like paint.
Four of the top posts were about paint, paint, and more paint. Who knew? And that made me think. Should I post more paint posts in 2021? Are there things about paint you wish you knew and wanted to ask someone who wears lipstick and new fancy bobby pins she got for Christmas?
And can I follow up that query with another question?
Are there any other decorating posts you’d like to see in the new year?
Because I have 10 bright red fingernails that would love to write them.
In the meantime, I’ll be photographing the handmade gifts from Christmas and posting all the projects you all loved from 2020.
Here they are counting down from 1 – 10.
Hope you enjoy. 🙂
The top ten reader post of the year (insert drum roll please) was this simple update to the outside of our house.
We weren’t sure what the metal was under all that dust and dirt, but I knew it needed to be copper.
So we created this simple fix for a new copper roof.
See what I mean? Paint and paint projects.
Especially when they are as easy as this one.
I LOVED this DIY and I’m so happy that you did too.
It’s so satisfying when you start off with paper and end up with pottery.
I had tons of shopping posts in 2020.
There was a little spare time to fill up my cart. 🙂
But of all the shopping posts in all the world, this one was your favorite.
And back to paint.
This one held at the number one spot for several months and stayed in the top ten for the year.
There are some really good paint recommendations if you are looking to change things up a little.
This post featured an easy way to add interest to a focal wall in your space.
It might look hard, but it was SO EASY.
All you need is an afternoon.
I can see why this one made the top 5.
It was one of my favorites, too.
It’s a super simple DIY to turn a basic canvas into artwork.
I am all about a good yard sale.
You can find the best stuff for the cheapest prices. The challenge? Figuring out how to add it to your home.
Here are some creative ways to decorate with all the stuff that comes home in the back of your car.
We round out the top five with another paint color post.
I think I need to do more of these in 2021.
Especially how to add a little COLOR to your rooms.
I KNEW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This one was my favorite, too.
Mostly because it made my mom so happy.
Here’s your favorite (and mine) post of the year.
What did you think?
Were there others that you want to add?
Did your favorites make the list?
Or did you even remember any of these posts? 🙂
Thank you for letting me be a little part of your 2020 and here’s to a new chapter and a new year that’s just around the corner.
Here are a few top 10 posts from some of my favorite bloggers:
