Whenever I talk?

I’m always chasing rabbits.

You know.

I’m talking about non-sequiturs and random ideas and projects.

I think that’s the challenge with me writing a blog.  I’m always digressing there, too.  Before I change subjects and digress again, let’s take a moment to look back.

Here are my top ten DIY projects of 2020.

(and between us—they are a little random—just like me).

Number 10

Let’s start the countdown with a DIY furniture project.

This thrift store makeover was your number 10 most favorite project.

Painted dresser project

Number 9

This was SUCH a simple idea, but it made all the difference to this staircase area in my home.

Adding the mirrors added so much space and sparkle to the staircase.

This quick, easy way to update a kitchen rolled in at number eight.

Here’s how we updated our kitchen with one simple change. Wait until you see the before and after pictures.

Did you know I used to own a faux finish business?

Faux finishes are one of the easiest ways to update a piece of furniture.

Here’s the step-by-step to recreate the look of a vintage find.

DIY Antique Faux Finish

Number 6

Y’all were all about this post with a little before and after backyard makeover.

We added a fence and a stone patio to this outdoor space.

Before and after backyard makeover

Number 5

Even though we just finished this project a month ago, it rolled in at number 5.

All you need is paint and a little painter’s tape to recreate it.

DIY Painted Ceiling Project

Number 4

This porch makes me smile every day when I walk out the back door.

This took a lot of work, but it made such a difference.

Back porch remodel

Number 3

Looking for an inexpensive flooring option?

Why not paint a plywood floor and recreate the look of a painted wood floor.

Painted Plywood Subfloor

Number 2

I LOVED this makeover. We took a simple space under the stairs and transformed it into an organized space.

You can see the entire before and after here.

Under stair closet makeover

Number 1

And the top project of 2020?

I’ll give you a hint.

It takes embroidery hoops and transforms them into this.

Haha! YES, YES, and YES! I have pages and pages (I'm not even joking) of unfinished projects listed in my notebook (I finally moved them to my phone) so I won't forget all the projects I've started but haven't finished or that I want to start but haven't yet! It's the curse of an ADD mind! 🤪😂
