Okay, so y’all.

We are doing things a little differently today.

In the spirit of 2021 and challenging myself and doing all the new things I have a fun thing to show you on the blog.

You know how I always tell you the crafts are easy?

You know how I always tell you they don’t take that much time?

Well, today instead of simply telling you how to do to make three SUPER easy Valentine artwork projects?

I’m going to show you.

Yep.

I just turned on the overhead camera and filmed myself making these fun artwork projects. All you really need for supplies are blank canvases, paint and scrapbook paper.

Ready to come along and craft with me?

Let’s go.

Here are three super simple DIY artwork projects you can make for Valentine’s Day and a video to go with them.

DIY Painted LOVE Canvas

(you can see the step-by-step with the video at the end of the post)

  1. Cut three heart templates out of heavy paper.
  2. Place the heart templates in a row at the top of an 11″ x 16″ blank canvas.
  3. Trace with a pencil.
  4. Add two more rows of hearts and trace.
  5. Write the word LOVE at the bottom right of the canvas in pencil.
  6. Paint every other heart red (add another coat of paint if needed).
  7. Paint every other heart pink (add another coat of paint if needed).
  8. Trace the word LOVE with a black paint pen.

DIY XO XO Canvas with a Heart

(you can see the step-by-step with the video at the end of the post)

  1. Place rows of painter’s tape across an 11″ x 16″ blank canvas approximately three inches apart.
  2. Write in XO XO XO XO across the top of the painter’s tape with a black paint pen.
  3. Continue writing XO XO XO XO until you have filled all the blank spaces between the tape.
  4. Leave a space on the next to the bottom line to add a heart.
  5. Trace a red heart with a red marker.
  6. Remove the tape.

DIY Scrap paper Heart Canvas

(you can see the step-by-step with the video at the end of the post)

  1. Cut a large heart templates out of heavy paper.
  2. Place the heart template in the middle of an 11″ x 16″ blank canvas.
  3. Trace with a pencil.
  4. Cut out 40 mini hearts out of red and white construction paper.
  5. Glue the hearts to the pencil outline with ModPodge (or glue).
  6. Continue until you have the top of the heart outlined with mini hearts.
  7. Gradually space out the hearts at the bottom of the larger heart to leave more white space.
  8. Trace the outline of the larger heart with red marker.
  9. Write the word LOVE LOVE at the bottom of the heart in cursive.

Here’s the video that takes you crafting with me so you can see how I made each of the artwork pieces.

Adorable! I love all of the ideas! I find Valentine's Day can sometimes be hard to decorate for because sometimes (haha, hence this year!) I still have a few Christmas greenery items up!
