Please tell me you like rooms with tufted benches and giant clocks on the wall and farmhouse tables with white ironstone as much as I do.

Have you met Dear Lillie’s new dining room?

It will make you sigh and wish you had saved your hydrangea instead of putting them in the Christmas tree.

I love a recipe with three ingredients.

And one of them comes from the refrigerated aisle of the grocery store. 🙂

You can find the recipe for these Strawberry Stuffed Crescent Rolls….here.

Here’s some fun ideas on how to pack a picnic from my friend Heidi.

She’s amazing.

And creative.

bloggers and brands

My friend Shannon wrote an e-book about working with brands.

She talks about negotiations and what not to say in an e-mail to a brand and where to find brand contacts and how much to charge and about a million other helpful tips.

If you want to turn your blog into a business….it’s a great place to start.

You can purchase the e-book….here.

Shannon will be there to answer your brand and business questions.

Happy random Saturday to you.

PS  I know that Downton Abbey is over for now.  But I found this fun quiz to help determine which character you are on Downton.

I was the Earl of Grantham.

Is anyone surprised? 🙂

Then I guess it's a good thing that I am also Anna! I was really surprised! I just KNEW I would end up being that wretched Cora!

Ha! I got Mary!!! :) I love tufted benches. Someday I want a dining room where one side of the table is a bench. Sigh. Going to look at floor covering today! Then to the grocery for bread and eggs . . . Winter storm's a-comin'!

I took the quiz twice (still trying to be true to the essence of me) and it's official...I'm Anna the Head Maid :) At least I'm competent, the idea employee and loyal to a fault even if I have no money! Oh, and I adore tufted benches, farm tables and ironstone... Thanks for a fun read..have a great weekend!

Oh wow, Dear Lillies dining room is looking like a dream come true. I am taking notes and thinking of wishing to copy it right now. Mine is so very tiny though.... it is just the end of the narrow, tiny, living room. But I am loving the colors most. I might break down and go with grey IF I thought it would not clash with my light brick (or what ever the heck it is called) fireplace! And to boot, I will surely have to paint my trim as well and there is a lot of it. The only room in the house that has crown molding and it along with the baseboards and trim is this clear coated Oak I think. And the light, fake.... err faux paneling looks to be sort of Pine look with a pinkish tint......... HELP? At least all the ceilings are white, thank goodness.

But I DID save my hydrangeas! They are in my living room in a rustic wooden pitcher and they occasionally shed all over causing me excessive vacuuming--which is bad, because, as Violet, I really shouldn't be participating in such domestic tasks. Alas, my only downstairs "staff" is the cat and he doesn't even have opposable thumbs, much less the ability to do housework. Dear Lillie's room is to-die-for. :) My husband and I went to the beach at Lake Michigan last weekend. Ice out as far as the eye can see. So hard to believe we will be sweating in the sun there in a few months.

Love this Saturday treat... Just purchased the book, took the quiz (Matthew Crawley :) and you reminded me that I want to create jewelry based on the season finale. Loved the jewelry in every scene! I adore Maggie Smith... Thank you!
