Did anyone else get a Fitbit for Christmas?

I didn’t know that much about them until every seventh grader in a 125 mile radius decided they wanted one.

Apparently Fitbits are a thing.

The goal is to get 10,000 steps before the end of the day and now everyone around here is racing and jumping and running in place and walking the halls just to get to 10,000 steps first.

I had no idea a band could turn you into a marathoner.

Maybe I need to get one. 🙂

wood candlesticks

Don’t these candlesticks look expensive?

Like they came out of an old farmhouse with extra farm written all over them?

They’re not.

Easy, simple, amazing DIY found here.

I need to make these wood stars.

They’ll be perfect on a transitional mantel from winter to spring.

I love this wreath.

I loved this post.

It’s such an easy dollar store hack to make a wreath out of anything.

Doesn’t this cabinet make you want to get organized?

If I had a fitbit I would be depressed when I did not meet its goal - so I'd be chubby and depressed and would need to grab comfort food for comfort! I did get an Ipad though and I love it. Happy new Year

Does absence really make the heart grow fonder? I sure hope so because I've been absent a very long time. First of all, Happy Belated Anniversary! I read your post about that this morning and loved, loved, loved it. Yes, I've had my 'angry' days. Usually it's because I'm dog tired and a good night's sleep will change everything--at least for me. If I can remember that, it helps me be a little less angry knowing I'll have a whole new perspective tomorrow. And lastly, Happy 'Belated' New Year, KariAnne!! May it be the best year ever, sweet friend!

I love all of these photos so much! Especially those cute little stars. And I actually did get a FitBit for Christmas and I love it! Not only does it track steps and calories but it even tracks how well you sleep! I am very happy with it.

I had never heard of the black-eyed pea tradition till I married my husband. That's what we had for dinner last night ... but no greens ... I guess we will be poor this year.

I have a Fitbit and have had it for some time. I use it to tell time :-( I've had it since May and it has vibrated that I've done 10,000 steps 3 times. The first time it vibrated on my arm I thought I was having a spastic attack. Whew!! Glad it was only exercise. Now the bad part about the Fitbit is it doesn't count my spinning class and that class really makes you work and sweat. But I'm hoping to do better this year. If I don't reach the "magic" goal of 10,000 I'll know how well I'm doing.

My grandson just learned to walk and he never stops! He would put a Fitbit wearer to shame! Happy New Year Karianne !!!

I got an UnFitbit. :( I have to charge the stupid thing every day so who knows how many steps I've taken running back and forth to put it on the charger?

Greetings Karianne, I actually did get a Fitbit for Christmas. It's amazing how many steps you accumulate just going about your daily routine. Everyone in my household has one now and we competed against each other this week in a "work week challenge". It was pretty cool and highly motivating (even though I came in third out of the four of us-lol). Oh, well... new goals for next week. Also, I love the roundup this week. Beautiful wood stars and that vintage-looking cabinet is stunning. Just gorgeous! Happy New Year!

Karianne, Love my Fitbit...I've had mine for about six months. I average about 5,200 steps each morning I work my 3 hour part-time job. Reminds me how much healthier I am to have that little gig. Now I wish there was a way to be rewarded from our health insurance premiums if we all wore them. Love this post...I too yearn for that beautiful cabinet. Thank you for the link to Julie Blanner - today was the first time I explored her blog. Would love to know how you organize your recipes...that is one of my goals this year to either stop printing/clipping and get that paperwork under control.

Hi... LOVE the candle sticks. Yes I love the fitbit too!! I have a question. I went to the bottom of your webpage to the "forum" and when I clicked on it it went to a dead link. Has the link changed? Thanks so much! Happy 2016. Oh and Downton Abby begins tonight!!!
