Random thoughts on an exhilarating, stupefying, scintillating, full of joy Saturday morning:
1. I just realized yesterday that football season is ALMOST HERE.
Our family has a fantasy football league every year, and it’s so fun (we tend to be a little competitive).
2. I wasn’t sure we were supposed to be about pumpkins yet.
But you all were ALL ABOUT these blue and white pumpkins. If they sell out, I have another source, too. Shhhh.
You can see the ceramic blue and white pumpkins here.
3. It was an epic week on the blog. We talked about:
- this peel-and-stick molding DIY
- what I made from the cigar boxes
- can you actually wash a rug in the washing machine
- this creative solution for a centerpiece
4. Thistlewood & Co is having a giant end-of-summer sale right now. We have to make room for all the Christmas and fall that we’ve ordered.
We are almost sold out of everything, but there are a few things left.
5. I know I’ve mentioned this before, but we should all be drinking more water. Seriously. It’s kind of a game-changer.
Here’s a great resource for diffused water recipes.
6. And if you are looking for a fall candle? Walmart just stocked my favorite scent Fall Apple Pumpkin and they are on sale right now for $5.
And now?
Here are all the fun finds I discovered for us this week.
Let’s GO.
And this is super helpful.

Isn’t this the sweetest porch?
I love the molding on the bottom–classic New England style.
Take the entire porch tour here.
I had no idea you could make your own flatbread crackers.
This recipe looks so yummy and perfect for all the fall football parties with dips.
Have you ever heard the term “cut and come again”?
I love it.
It’s a cutting garden where the flowers keep returning.

Just wishing you a wonderful weekend!Big Hugs
That butterfly wreath! Beautiful AND creative! I don't have it in me to have a cutting garden, but I admire those who do. And while I love pumpkins .... let's enjoy the fleeting summertime. :)
Well KariAnne…. We are certainly on the same page always…..and LITERALLY! The Calamity Club is my book club choice for this month. As in The Help, her books send me right back home! I was born and raised in Mississippi, and love everything about it, even if I’m retiring as a Georgia Peach. If you are interested there is a nice article about Kathryn Stockett in a recent Garden and Gun magazine . If you’re not familiar with this magazine GET TO KNOW IT…utterly delightful! The book is another classic told by her. Speaking of classics, she is a staple in Oxford, and all of us who passionately love Ole Miss football, are looking forward to Saturdays in our beloved Grove. I am happy for Katheryn Stockett to come back home to Mississippi .
I loved the article on the Greek islands, brought back so many memories. Back in '79 while I was a medic in the Air Force, I was sent to a dream assignment, Iraklion AS, Crete, Greece. I was lucky to live in the village of Hersonissos for my 3 years there. I lived about 50 yards from the beach where I enjoyed the beautiful waters. It was a quieter time that I hold dear in my memories.
I needed this since staying in out of the heat. It was fun and I agree we need water, the fruit and in water is a perfect combination. Thanks and have a cool weekend.
Thank you for some great reads. Have a wonderful Sunday. I spent my Saturday in a small town with my two daughters. It was Street Food Truck day. We ate and then went second hand cloth shopping. It was fun. Take care of you.
Thanks for the great thistles, KA! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
Just FYI my dear the subject line of the email I sent to my readers on Friday was “permission to pumpkin” so yeah, it’s on girlfriend. I love to drink plain water, but I have really really been struggling to get enough for like the past two years. I used to drink probably 100 ounces a day and yeah maybe I was floating a little but I had so much more energy. And now, I’ll get busy working and forget to drink it and then 7 o’clock comes and I think OMG I’ve only had three bottles of water today so then I try to compensate and that just leads to me being up every two hours to pee, which is not good. Sorry if that’s TMI. So all that complaining to say if you have a really great water bottle or something that helps you to drink more or an app that reminds you, I’d love the link. ❤️
I finally had time to see weekly wrap up. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas- making the flat bread crackers right now and just ordered the book😃❤️
"Pie it forward" ...What a wonderful idea! I wish that I lived closer to Magpies so that I could send pies to loved ones. Make mine peach please!
