I went to see the most amazing movie.

I saw the previews and I thought it was going to be good and then I saw it and it was amazing.

McFarland, USA.

Have you seen it?

It’s the story of a coach who has feet of clay and a newly created track team from McFarland, California….

…..and the wonder and joy that believing in a dream can bring.

I laughed and cried and at the end I stood up and raised my hands over my head and cheered.

Happily-ever-afters are my favorite. 🙂

I love the semi-circular table by the chaise lounge. And I love the Cookie Monster mug. I love your Random Saturday posts and I love how you can go from elegant to silly-funny without blinking an eye.

No, Kari Anne, I haven't seen this movie, but I'm so glad you liked it and suggested it. I love happily-ever-afters!

Yes a pretty home. But I too look forward to the "rest of the story".... Like you have to have an income after the leap?!! All that aside so glad you loved McFarland story. It's just up the road from me....touches my heart the USA is seeing good stuff about educators and towns typically ignored by the world. In fact I'm traveling home and will soon pass by very quickly! McFarland. Almond trees galore, pink blossoms on nectarines, peaches are done, snow on the peak of the tallest mountains in the continental US ( but we rarely see them for all the smog), 99 and the railroad tracks follow the crooked state from the bottom to top of this vast valley filled with canals, miles and miles of grapes that end up in your stores....but my latest memory of tiny McFarland, divided by our 99, had its library close because the building was not safe for the public. My spouse was doing some measurements as a civil designer and while he was there, a boy about twelve rode up on his bicycle. Excitedly he asked," Is the library opening again??!!" But sadly the answer? No. Here's a young boy in a small town wanting to go to a library and there isn't one. I just wish... I'd thought of all this before so that through a miracle this little farming town could once again have a library. Free. For 12 year old boys on bicycles...."

We saw the movie today too. Loved it! Glad to see Disney getting back to their roots of making a good family movie.
