Random thoughts on a brilliantly sunny Saturday:

1. I went to the BEST estate sale this week. It was kind of fancy. You had to put your name on a list and they only let in a certain number of people at a time.

But it was worth every minute of the wait.

I found a treasure trove of vintage jewelry from the 50’s and 60’s.

2. My hydrangea bush is looking amazing. There are little tiny leaves on the old stems everywhere and the leaves are getting bigger and bigger.

Fingers crossed we get hydrangeas this year.

Growing hydrangeas in Texas is no joke.

3. I wore black and white linen polka-dotted pants this week. Can I tell you how amazing I felt?

Until I spilled self-tanner on them.

Sigh.

I’ve got the stain about 1/2 way out right now. Hopefully, the rest of the stain will be gone soon.

4. I found the BEST deal if you need serving utensils for Mother’s Day or a party. I just bought these and they are so pretty and gold and there’s an entire set of eight.

They are already on sale for a good price but when you put them in your cart and check out? There’s a little button you can add this coupon code: 502KBS6K and it makes the entire set under $10!!!!

(total aside: it’s a little bit complicated so if you have ANY questions—just message me and I’ll help you get the deal! It’s so worth it. 🙂

You can see the set here.

5. It was a good week on the blog. We discussed

6. We are planning a party for next weekend and a corn hole tournament.

Should I add a theme? Or is that too “corny”? (I’m so so sorry—I couldn’t resist).

And now?

Let’s see all the amazing stuff I found for us this week.

An outdoor dining table set with elegant dinnerware and surrounded by multiple potted plants on a checkered tablecloth. two wicker chairs are visible, and glass doors open to the interior.

This amazing DIY topiary centerpiece.

I love everything she creates, but this was one of my favorites.

See how to create the topiary centerpiece (and the place setting details) here.

A slice of cheesecake topped with fresh raspberries and a mint leaf, served on an ornate white plate with a floral design, set against a dark, rustic background.

Look at this raspberry-topped creamy cheesecake.

Perfect for the summer.

You can see the recipe here.

Lush garden with vibrant flowers in the foreground, a quaint white gazebo, and a serene lake in the background during dusk. a picturesque setting evoking a peaceful ambience.

One of the best ways to grow a garden?

Dividing perennials.

Here are some amazing tips from one of my favorite gardeners.

A crafting scene on a wooden table featuring a white ceramic bowl, a bundle of fresh white and green flowers with tags, and a roll of wire mesh next to a pair of wooden-handled pliers.

I have a tureen just like this.

And now I can use it to make an easy and simple spring centerpiece.

If you missed it last time?

Runnnnnn. 🙂

Maybe a “ farm theme”? And a few corn dishes- corn salad, I have a fabulous corn casserole, corn muffins, and have guests bring a corny joke! Not very sophisticated for your gorgeous home and outdoor party areas but it sure is fun and “ corny”! I know it’ll be amazing, whatever you come up with!

I'm jealous of all your gardening adventures and have been living vicariously through them, since it's still chilly in my neck of the woods. Hopefully, by the time it warms up, I'll be all stocked up on hydrangea tips and ready to go! Thanks for sharing my hankies today and I hope you enjoy the weekend!! Ps- that new blue office rug is making me think I need at least one not red room in my house. ;)

Good luck with the pants! I can't wait to see what you picked up at the estate sale. I was at one and found McCoy Pottery! Since I collect yellow ware it was a great find at a reasonable price. Still have no idea where I will put it but I bought it!!! Have a great weekend. Big Hugs,

The Herefordshire gardens are amazing! I'm not sure we could pull this off in most of the U.S. climate zones, though.

Great thistles. Sorry about the spill. I say stay porcelain and fughettabout the self tanner, but that's me. Never have enjoyed a tan. Ask my sisters. I was always the one at the beach wrapped up and under an umbrella. Hope it comes out. (pray pray) Love that cute quilt is back in stock. It's so perfect and got rave reviews. Loved her topiary diy too - they do look real for sure. Hope you're having a wonderful weekend.

My daughter says use make up cleaner. Had to chuckle about polka dot pants because my spring PJ bottoms never go any where pants are blk and white plka dot too. I love polka dot for any clothes. Just makes me smile.
