Random thoughts on a chilly sunny December morning:

1. I discovered red nail polish again this week. I have been giving myself a manicure every week now that we are staying in. I’ve painted them cream. I’ve painted them taupe. I’ve painted them navy. I’ve painted them dark gray. And this week I went all Christmas.

RED.

And I LOVE IT.

2. I discovered this list of the top 100 Christmas songs for 2023 on Spotify.

Guess what number 1 was?

This song.

3. My mother sends me a fresh Christmas wreath every year. 2023’s wreath showed up to the house yesterday and I decided that if blogging doesn’t work out I’m going to move to a Christmas tree farm and become a wreath maker.

It’s on the front door and my front door smells like Christmas.

4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We talked about

5. We discovered yesterday that my Santa mug holds 1 1/2 cups of coffee of a regular coffee mug. That’s where I’m getting all my extra energy from. 🙂

And now?

Red lipstick + red nails = Holiday cheer! My favorite all time red nail polish is "I'm not really a waitress" by OPI; released in 1999. It's described as a "vivacious chianti red". Haven't been able to find it in stores, but can still order it online. It always gets compliments and love how it looks. It has a bit of shimmer and never fails to cheer me up. Also have to guard it closely at the nail salon. Beautiful post, btw. Fell in love with that beautiful kitchen, especially the table and marble!

Well, NOW I know where the extra energy is coming from!! I need to get one of those Santa mugs! NOW! You say you are "staying in" (in reff. to doing your nails) Hope you are not sick? Everyone in this neck of the woods is sick (N.E.) PS. what is the best one coat pink polish. I think it was on one of your blogs before to order??

A fresh wreath is a brilliant gift idea. Guess what--my friend and I attended a wreath-making class at a tree farm and I'm enjoying my personally-made wreath now. They need wreath-making employees for the holiday season, so if it's really a dream job, I know where you can go! :) Lots of fun Christmas-themed links today.
