Random thoughts on a football fall morning:

1. We made it. September is here.

I’ve never been so happy to see a month end in ’ember in my entire life.

2. Today is the first football game. I’m looking at you, Baylor. I’m thinking about wearing cowboy boots.

But then I remembered I’ll be sitting in the sun for four hours.

Decisions. Decisions.

3. Have you ever tried cucumbers with vinegar and lemon pepper before? It’s the yummiest snack without too many calories?

4. It was a great week on the blog. We talked about:

5. We have so many September birthdays in my family so we are celebrating with pizza and cake and ice cream.

Growing up and being of German descent we had cucumber vinegar lemon pepper all of the time on our dinner table, virtually no calories, an excellent snack, cool and refreshing. Thanks for the memories!

I see them everywhere..but so expensive..ibought several plain ceramic vases at Habitat Restore and want to spray them a matte black or white..rough finish any suggestions? You the Queen of DIY and I love everything you touch!!

Blackberry cobbler is my FAVORITE cobbler. There's a few aspects of 90s decorating that I still like such as gingham and primary colors. I'll admit to an awful sponge painted bathroom that I thought was so lovely when I did it. Thankfully, it was painted over years ago. :-D

I just watched CU keep three points ahead of TCU for an entire tit for tat four quarters and am exhausted! What a game. I still find quite a few things about 90s decor that I like and think I see some trends returning in the various "core" decorating styles. Those balloon valances could get overwhelming!

The 90’s posting was fun and so true. I’m over the something on every surface idea. I’m on a tare donating. Karianne can you give me an idea of how to paint a wood base lamp gold. Since you’re the queen of make overs I’d like it to have a gold leaf look but not be garish. Any suggestions!
