Random thoughts on an extra hot Saturday morning:

1. Our family has a fantasy football league. Have you ever played in one before?

It makes football watching so much more fun.

2. The sales are starting early. Remember our favorite bra? I always try to let you know when it goes on sale.

You can see my favorite (which is 50% off right now) here and I love this color (which is on sale, too)

2. Did you see that KNIT blazers are super in for fall? I have the cutest striped one and it’s kind of versatile. You can wear it with jeans or pants or even a skirt and boots.

You can see it here (and I added a pic at the end of the post).

3. I have the best skin tip for you— especially now that summer is fading. We’ve discussed Glotion before, but it is your best friend right now.

I LOVE IT. It gives you that little glow on the skin–not too much, just enough to be healthy.

You can see it here.

4. It was an amazing week on the blog. We talked about:

5. I’m in the middle of another good mystery/suspense book for book club. It’s called The Maid’s Diary and the word on the street is that you’ll never figure out the ending.

You can see The Maid’s Diary here.

5. Fall decorating is in full swing and I’m painting pumpkins for the bookcase in the living room. I can’t wait to share it with you.

And now?

Here are all my favorite finds for the week.

LET’S GO.

A decorative fall arrangement with dried hydrangeas, green leaves, pinecones, dried orange slices, faux berries, and autumn leaves, arranged on a white background.

I love decorating with dried hydrangeas.

And look at this garland with dried fruit and magnolia leaves.

You can see the how-to here.

Round shortbread cookies embossed with acorns and oak leaves are arranged on a white scalloped cake stand. A white pumpkin and some green leaves are visible in the background.

Don’t these cookies look like works of art?

You can make them for fall with a cookie stamp.

See the how-to (and how to get the stamp sharp and perfect every time) here.

A ceramic bowl shaped like a maple leaf sits on a white plate, with two brown glass bottles and a white dish in the background on a wooden surface.

I’ve always wanted to make a leaf bowl.

This DIY looks so easy and I like that the leaf bowl looks substantial.

You can see the how-to here.

A pumpkin shape created from orange puzzle pieces, with twigs as the stem and green leaves at the top, displayed on a striped background.

Have some puzzles laying around?

What if you made a pumpkin from them?

Here’s the DIY for this puzzle pumpkin.

We lost such a bright light this week with the passing of Dolly Parton.

Here are pages of inspiring quotes by Dolly.

A smiling woman with long blonde hair, wearing a black-and-white striped blazer and white pants, stands in a stylish living room with dark wood floors, a potted plant, and a shelf with white decor behind her.

Weekend Outfit

As promised, here’s the jacket.

It’s knit and runs true to size. It’s such an easy way to update a neutral top and pants.

You can see the jacket here.

Nine fall-themed wreath sashes in plaid, gingham, and embroidered designs hang on wreaths, displayed on a blue and white striped background with the words “Fall Wreath Sashes” at the top.

And these wreath sashes were a top seller this week.

Especially the monogrammed ones.

You can shop them all here.

Close-up of a textured, braided rug made from how to felt wool pieces on a wooden surface, displaying intricate craftsmanship and soft-focus background.

And one more for the road

Here’s how to take a wool sweater and felt it and make this wreath for fall.

I’m making a note on the book you are reading. I checked the plot on Amazon and it looks really good. I will try to order it from the library. Thanks for the recommendation. I’m starting to decorate for Fall, slowly………

Good Saturday morning Missy KariAnne, Lots of creative and fun things you shared. The dried Hydrangea looks awesome. If only we could grow them and beautiful Peonies. I miss having a garden full of pretty flowers. I have faux ones and potted Orchids in the house but it’s not the same. I’m so WORRIED when my Master Gardener takes the sail shade and side screens down hopefully in a week or so that they have survived this intense heat. He has prepared me. The Maid’s Diary looks like a great read, it’s on my long and growing list of books to read. The cookies look like a work of art, ❤️them. I’m a cookie person. How is beautiful Courtney coming along? Have a great Saturday.

Hi Karianne, you're putting us all in the mood for Fall, for sure. I love the pretty acorn cookie stamp you featured. I have a huge collection of wooden stamps but I don't have this one. Hmmmm, I'm going to add that to my stash-lol. P.S. I just made similar clay leaves too. This one is lovely. I really like the bigger size. Anyway, enjoy these last few days of summer. Bring on Fall (and cooler temps). xoxo
