GREAT thistles, KA!! Big grats on Westleigh's successful campaign. No surprise there!!! Exciting about the moves to their prospective apartments. I adore they are next to one another - close but separate. So sweet, those two. Hope you didn't have to do all that in that heat of yours. It's actually so cool here that I've been wearing a sweater and have the windows open. I think you sent us all your cool stuff. Sorry. I loathe the heat, especially humid heat - it's the worst. I'd rather have snow and layer layer layer. I named our home Finch Rest when we moved here 20 years ago. Had an iron plaque made and everything.

PS You know my favorite safe non-toxic way to keep mosquitos away? I use a essential oil burner and use real essential lavender oil. They hate it and it is so much nicer to smell than citronella. And another fav? I stick a stick Nag Champa incense stick in a planter - these two things also really help keep deer out of our yards for a while. We have devastating damage with deer and landscaping. But even so I'd prefer deer over mosquitos!

KariAnne I loved your post. Congrats on the girls moving into their own places. How exciting for them. And the launch of course. I read the article on naming homes. I've been tossing a name around for our Florida home for some time now. It is in the historical district close to the Blackwater River so lots of thoughts. I am saving your post and hers and will eventually find the right fit. It is hot in Texas. Stay safe and hydrated

Thanks for the great postings! I just had to tell you about my Walmart jean experience. I have a difficult time buying jeans, it's my body not the jeans. I took a chance and ordered a pair of the straight leg jeans you suggested. Lo and behold they fit and are the perfect length ! I had them shipped but the crazy thing was that they were on my porch 2 hours after I finished ordering. I must have hit the timing just right. What a great find on your part !!!

Great post as always! Twins… apartments… oh my how they are growing up so fast. Who knows maybe you will have a double wedding someday. My mom said to me long ago that was not uncommon. Tell Westleigh congrats on her success so far. You can tell that little apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Like mother like daughter❤️. You have certainly mentored some amazing work ethic and skills to your kids.

Our home is yellow. Last year I painted the black front door a light purple and named our house "Heartsease Cottage". I have hanging baskets of pansies on the front porch and along our picket fence. I love my new moniker.
