Random thoughts on a bright shiny new Saturday morning:
1. Have you seen the new way to hem your jeans? You keep the original hem and just fold it over and sew it in place.
It’s kind of a game changer.
2. What are your thoughts on decaf coffee? I switched recently and don’t tell the coffee people, but I can’t tell a difference. If I get in a situation where they don’t have decaf? I just ask for 1/2 coffee and 1/2 hot water. Less caffeine and I can’t tell the difference.
3. It was a great week on the blog. We discussed:
- 17 amazingly useful things to keep in your bag
- the sweetest love story
- how to build a shutter wall
- 21 things to get rid of right now
4. It’s almost a week until Westleigh launches her boutique. We had the cutest photo shoot with all the clothes this week to get them ready for the website.
The official launch day is June 10.
5. I’ve been going to my trainer for almost a year and this week I planked for two minutes.
I am SO PROUD of myself. 🙂
And now?
Here are some of my favorite finds from around the web.

If you want the best tomatoes in the world, add epsom salts when you plant them. It makes them so sweet!!!
By the way, I have started walking 2 miles every day, with my mom. It has changed my life!!! I encourage anyone to try it. I also am trying Silver Sneakers at home on video on my computer--I needed them both as I got down and had to have my husband and daughter help me get up. I need to keep going and get better along with my mother. I am so proud of you and your progress!!!
Thank you for including my Summer BBQ Menu! Have a wonderful summer!
You can plank for 2 minutes! That’s great!
Always enjoy your Saturday reads. Two made me chuckle; tips on growing tomatoes and what you can do with your 'spare' closet. 1.My best tomato crop came when I bought the plant already loaded with baby tomatoes. In other words, cheat. 2. Spare closet? I live in a two-bedroom condo with exactly three closets. As cute as these ideas sound, I'd never give up a closet.
So proud of your plank record, Mom!!!
You are amazing and inspiring Miss KariAnne❣️
I love the photo at the top with the hydrangeas--so beautiful! Plus the recipe, which I'm going to make, and the mirror, which I'm not going to make but just admire. Looking forward to more about Westleigh's boutique. Happy Saturday!
I have no idea what "plank" is but good for you! You're a rock star!
In a really random note… I just “ stalked” in a good way your fabulous Westleigh on Facebook! You must be so proud of your girls! They look so happy, healthy and having fun with a great looking group of friends! Great job mom and dad! And y’all could be triplets! Have a super weekend! And thanks for sharing, encouraging and challenging us every week!
All hail the Plank Princess! :) Good for you! Meanwhile, I'm thinking about that chicken salad recipe ....
A two-minute plank is so impressive! Keep up the great work!
You're planking and I now want to go make a chocolate cake. Life. Always such contrast, haha. Well done, KA. And nice thistles. And I am so excited for W. She will do GREAT!
I love the rectangular, gold hair clip!!! xoxo
